To be honest I am not sure what to make of this one. It has a very pleasant aroma to begin and for an hour is ok but I’m not sure what happens afterwards, it just seems to fade way. On sniffing close to the skin there is still a smell of something I can’t quite detect what, maybe that is the Tonka bean but it is unusual on me. I prefer, as someone else has mentioned, just to top up again. Its longevity is not very good but having said that its not expensive so I can afford to lash out. If you are looking for something spectacular this is not it but somehow with the Far Away range you know that is not what you’re going to get anyway. I like the Far Away original much better and even that is not what you’d call spectacular, although its one of my ‘go-to’ perfumes. The bottle is very nice though, I love the top. Maybe next time I wear it, in another season, I’ll get a different experience.

I think this perfume have a good silage and staying power so far. I just came out of shower, over an hour ago and I’ve applied soon after.
Over an hour gone, then my husband arrived and told me he could notice a nice smell from me.
I know have been only over an hour ago but I learned that applying soon after shower helps with the performance.
By the way, this is not a brand new box what I got. I’ve bought from a charity shop, never used, but looks like is outdated.

Far Away Exotic is most enjoyable to me during the first minute or two. Clementine is deliciously citrus and sweet. Florals soften while tonka bean lend a woody note.It is more soft unlike the original Far Away. I wonder if the use of vanilla rather than tonka bean would have sweetened? The drydown, which is too brash and masculine, is not to my liking and for that, my bottle is not a keeper.
    One spray on me,
    Sillage: less than arm’s length
Longevity: about an hour or two

I will never underestimate the power of avon perfume! Like this far away bella. Came from an elegant 50ml bottle with a simple but artistic design. An oval shape bottle with the cream white cap and a dark red ribbon! The carton is made from a cheap cardboard. And about the scents! This one became 1 of my signature perfume! Specially when i was in province for vacation. In a hot summer day while walking in my sisters farm!! And i cn say tht this is not a for a morning 1. But its for evening wear also!!! I love it.. It become cool whe i wear at night..everytime i wear this perfume. It always reminds me of having a vacation. Its a nostalgic perfume! I love love lovr love it! The clemetine, magnolia and tonka bean are mix really well!!! Its so elegant and sophisticated! The longevity and sillage is enormous! So its one of my favorites from avon perfume line.. Kuddoz tp avon!

Peachy clementine and tonka drydown. Nice , pretty, girly but nothing out of the ordinary. Has a slightly sour note to the clementine which can make it a bit headache-inducing.

Note- I have three 1.7 oz bottles, new in box, for sale trade. Avon far away bella is a safe ladylike floral with a hint of rose soap. A Blooming floral, that could resemble vera wang or gucci gardenia. Scent starts strong but fades quickly. A safe office scent, rather mature, not offensive, but not sexy or complex. Not right for me, but could be perfect for someone else.

  7. :

Delicate and beautiful. For some reason, I smell peach instead of clementine. Very classy and subtle. Great office scent.

  8. :

Slightly sour clementine fading to a mild sweet tonka base that disappears in the blink of an eye. I have no idea why this is supposed to be a Far Away flanker either. The bottle is cheap looking and twee. The box however is a lovely lilacy pink which matches my bedroom walls.
It has grown on me a bit because it sometimes reminds me of an Avon summer scent from around 2000, which came in a tall yellow straight cylinder and was called Vitamin C and just smelled orangey.
Addendum: Both this one and it’s sister have died within a year so use it up fast if you purchase, it doesn’t keep. (and yes I store mine cool and dark etc)

um surprised , it’s my first time to try a perfume with clementines intensive scent, and i like it,,so fresh n pleasant but not so special ,,weak longevity and Sillage
    but soooooooo niiiiiiice howw pretty!

Clementine and tonka bean. I love the sweet citrus – not orange, not grapefruit. Cannot detect magnolia which my nose usually detest. Feminine, fresh and airy. Nothing complicated. For everyday wear and for office. Refresher for after the gym. No spices unlike the original Far Away. I much prefer this Bella over the original.

I get mostly a sweet smell from this, I would never have thought it was a citrus aroma though. I would have thought it was a sugary smell. I don’t pick up any magnolia or tonka bean.
This is a very safe perfume, it’s okay, it’s not amazing and it’s not dreadful. Just okay.
It stays very close to the skin. For this reason (I like my perfumes strong) and the reason that the perfume is very safe, I could never wear this. But some may like a safe, sugary scent that stays close to the skin.

Oh wow. I didn’t expect much from this one, to be honest. I am not a HUGE fan of the Far Away line, but this one was gifted to me and I felt the bottle was adorable and would give it a chance.
I really truly like this one. I feel like there is more going on here than just clementine, tonka and magnolia, but that could just be me. It’s sweet (ambery sweet)–without the edge that I sometimes get from too much tonka. The clementine and magnolia keep it from being gourmand, but it’s actually a pretty sexy composition for an Avon scent.
Very inexpensive if you can hunt it down and worth trying out. I can’t stop sniffing my wrist today!

@avon_lover – I’ve got Far Away Bella Sunset already and it’s nothing like Far Away Bella. They are by no means similar. Sunset is a cute, mainstream, girly, veeeery sweet, fruity-gourmand perfume while Bella is a more reserved, refrained and feminine than girly one. If I were to choose, I’d definitely go for Bella, even though I like the category into which Sunset belongs.

Took it with me on my holiday and to be honest, I came home yesterday and today I don’t remember how it smells. If you give me 5 different perfumes to sniff I wouldn’t guess which one is Far Away Bella. Nothing special, sweet, flowery and generic. Qite safe and not very long lasting. Something to please the crowd. Luckily has nothing in common with original Far Away which is my most hated perfume ever.

  15. :

Far Away Bella takes some time to develop and come out of its shell on my skin.
The magnolia is most prominent for me. It doesnt seem to have any resemblance to the Far Away line in general – all of the others seem to be in keeping with the “Theme”
A bit disappointing to be honest!
I have just received Far Away Bella Sunset…. Fragrantica really needs to add it to the data base!
Its much nicer in my opinion and the notes are very authentic smelling. The opening is zesty and juicy giving a nice backdrop for the jasmin and sandlewood!
Far Away Bella Sunset has that aroma which makes it definitely part of the Far Away line up.

OHHH I hope they do have Far Away Bella come out in the US again! I have only a small purse size of this and I looove it! I should have went ahead and bought a large size. You snooze you lose!! 🙂
This is perfection that is for sure!

Soon they will release (Just in Europe i think) a new “Far Away Bella”, called “Far Away Bella Sunset” with clementine, jasmine and sandalwood notes!
    I wanna buy it! *o*

happily wearing my ‘Far Away Bella’ today…. feel wrapped in sweet, feminine warmth on a chilly, cold day. Quite alluring. Good longevity – a great addition to my collection!

Have just ordered the gift set from the latest Avon Brochure and can’t wait to get it. The perfume really appeals to me and it is really inexpensive…. I will be trialling it by layering – only wish they did a shower gel (are you listening Avon??) as the gift set has the body lotion. It has ingredients which really appeal to me so I’m looking forward to wearing this and seeing how I get on with it.

I just have a little vial of this (that being said, I think the bottle is really sweet). I have a soft spot for Avon fragrances because they remind me of growing up in a little country town where everyone, even schoolgirls, had Avon parties. Going through an Avon catalogue still gives me a jolly.
I’m not sure if it’s just my sample, but when I first apply Far Away Bella, it smells quite strongly of household cleaners/soap on my skin (I wonder if this is the clementine). My partner, who likes almost all of my perfumes, gingerly put forward that he wasn’t a fan.
However, about fifteen minutes later, it seemed to soften a lot into a gentle fruity-floral scent on a background of vanilla-y tonka beans. My partner was surprised that it could’ve changed so much! The sillage was medium and (like all Avon perfumes on me) it was not very long-lasting.

I got it as a gift for my birthday and I am nicely surprised. I like it. Granted, It’s not very special and quite inoffensive, but there are some lovely notes in it when it dries on my skin. Very feminine but not girly. I really don’t like the other ones in a Far Away stable, especially the original, but I do like wrapping myself in this scent in the morning before I leave home for work. At work it keeps me feeling ‘cosy’, like a relaxing bubble bath. It’s only a shame that it doesn’t last long, couple of hours maybe, and it keeps close to the body. But that’s ok, this one is for me only, and because it’s inexpensive, I can reapply whenever I want. Would be really nice to have a shower gel in this scent.
Update: there is something ‘smokey’ at the deep dry end of this fragrance, can’t quite put my finger on it. Like a tabacco, or musk, but not heavy. It’s just a little glimpse of something that makes it ‘stick’ to your skin. A very fine fragrant, sophisticated glimpse that wraps you up, which I struggle to define.

This scent has something that makes you want smell it more and more, dig into it deeper and deeper, as if you were to find a treasure in it. Do you actually find one? Depends on the weather and of course on your chemistry. With me it is really fine, warm and rich in its nature, and tonka beans are always a treasure for me, but at very the bottom I find some kind of balsamic unrest… I don’t know what it is, as it is not listed among the notes – something oriental, intoxicating – like incense maybe – intriguing indeed, as for this category of perfumes. Sometimes Avon can really surprise us!

I received this as a gift from my bestie for my birthday.
I have Far Away already which I have grown to love, but I did test these against each other to see which I really liked the best.
By far, it was Far Away Bella.
I was looking for something pleasant to take on vacation that would be nice but not overpowering and I chose this.
This is nice for work because it’s non offensive. Pleasant. Girly but not too sweet. I can’t do sweet very well anymore.

First of all I would like to stress that I am not too critical with fragrances. I prefer quality over brand names. Thus I am not bothered with Avon fragrances.
Sadly, this potion is unremarkable. Nothing special (for me) as I love unique fragrances that will give me an aura. If I can define this fragrance it would have to be “fleeting”.
I believe the younger crowd would find this interesting or likealbe as it cross as fruity floral but in a subtle way. Not on your face which is good.

This is a very surprising yet pleasurable departure from the original Far Away and its other sister, Far Away Exotic.I was surprised to learn how few the notes listed here but I could swear there are still a few more I’m getting from the composition. Key fragrance notes: the opening is composed of Brazilian passion fruit, pink pepper, & clementines. After the fruity zest mellows down, creamy notes of magnolia and Turkish rose takes centre stage but do not take over the whole compostion thus letting the pink pepper’s lingering spiciness leave an exotic trail until the dry down; an equal blend of sandalwood, vanilla, & tonka bean creating a warm and inviting aura. Longevity is really good with 6 hours staying power. Decent projection but can be considered as a skin scent. This definitely got my attention but I am STILL MADLY IN LOVE with Far Away Exotic.

This perfume instantly reminded me of Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia. I smelled soft floral and fruity notes. When I read here that it was mandarin that I was smelling, I was surprised. It does NOT smell like mandarin…..because I have issues with mandarin smelling perfumes. I heavily smell the magnolia (yay!!!!) and the Tonka bean (another yay!!!), which happen to be notes I tend to see popping up in perfumes I like. The “fruity” notes I detect almost smell like red berries, hence the recognition I had.
It’s very soft and pretty. No alcohol smell, which is a typical trait of Avon perfumes. Perfect for every day. I want to buy this and use it more regularly than my Gucci Gorgeous Gardenia just because it’s SOO much cheaper. I hope though that Avon doesn’t discontinue this one though…..they tend to do that with a lot of their fragrances so they can move on to the next season’s set.

soft, creamy and woody. It is very warm, cosy and feminine. Lasting power is very good but it is a skin scent, it doesn’t linger. The tonka bean is really prominent. If you love tonka bean, you will love this. I like it, it makes me feel comfortable and cosy.

Have a 9 mL Purse Concentre (Rollerball) and I must say it is a ladylike perfume, much like the imagery portrayed in the advertising, with the right balance and combination of citrus, flowers and tonka bean. No particular note stands out. The ingredients seem well-blended together and I’m surprised that I generally liked it despite just learning that tonka bean smells similar to vanilla (not my preference). Non-gourmand fans may still appreciate this.
I agree with the other reviews on the longevity. Lasted for a mere hour on me; hence needs to be reapplied from time to time to be able enjoy the scent. I find this rather annoying and time-consuming.
Also, I feel iffy about using the rollerball because of hygienic purposes. I’m considering purchasing the bottle when it’s offered at a deep discount so I could spray often even later during the day without worrying if my skin is sweaty or oily or what (LOL).

This is a blind buy for me and really is quite pleasant. I agree with the other reviews on this site, this definitely does not smell cheap and would say that this is a similar type floral fragrance to J’adore. I am wearing J’adore today as it is one of my favourites and put alongside, this is definitely holding it’s own. I will live with the fact that I may have to reapply as this is nowhere near as expensive. Will definitely wear this perfume with pride (a fruity creamy floral).

Got this for Christmas and I’m lovin it! At first spritz it’s citrusy and sweet and then it gets creamier, the magnolia comes out but they don’t overtake it. I sprayed this on and 4 hours later I could still smell it on me and I did 1 spritz on my wrist just to try it, but that could be my skin type, and then I washed it off accidentally so I don’t have an exact idea of the longitivity on me:/ Luckily I don’t get the masculine smell that some people were mentioning I have no complaints about this perfume, it smells good and the bottle is cute:) Great for people like me who like sweet/citrusy/floral smells.

  31. :

    4 out of 5

Even thought it is not loaded down in notes, its simplicity is stunning! Love how the tonka and citrus mix to make this lovely fragrance. I am in love!
Edit: Be advised, as great as I think it smells, it will not last. It gave me 2-3 hours before it disappeared. Still love it though.

  32. :

    WOW! Pleasantly surprised!
I find the original Far Away kinda awful, to be honest. It finally grew on me as a home scent only.
But Far Away Bella, if I didn’t know better, I would peg for a Burberry fragrance. One of the more expensive smelling Avon fragrances in my opinion.
Update: I find this way too sweet on my skin these days. Changing bodies, changing minds, eh?

  33. :

    4 out of 5

I love the opening – it`s so happy warm citrusy. But after 30 minutes the character of the perfume changes into something less pleasant, but as long as you`re re-applying every 30 minutes you`re gonna be fine;).

  34. :

    4 out of 5

I can smell the all notes listed here, in roughtly equal amounts. Citrus at the opening, and then fading into magnolia and tonka bean. I have a newly found appreciation for tonka bean and I can smell it clearly here, although it is still subtle enough not to be too warm. Although this is safe and pretty, I am liking it quite a bit. The matching lotion to this has a stronger citrus note than the fragrance, and I even detect a hint of pepper in the lotion that I don’t smell in the fragrance. The tonka matched up with the floral make this a like for me.

  35. :

    4 out of 5

Far Away Bella is just so-so in my book.
It’s a floral vanillic with some fruit sparkle in the opening, not too aggressive. It has a good staying power.
I’m not familiar with Avon and cannot find it easily where I live, but I don’t care.
I was given a sample of this one by one of those ladies that try hard to sell their Avon stuff.
She was very kind and made me want to test their scents.
I tested a couple and was meh.
Far Away Bella was better than those.
I wouldn’t mind wearing it, it doesn’t make me feel unease like many other, but it just doesn’t make much sense to me and gives me no emotion and vibe.
It’s the equivalent of wishing for some wine and have a glass of supermarket generic, which could randomly taste not so bad, instead of real Nebbiolo.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

To me this smells like the original Far Away(predominantly violet) with a healthy dose of vanilla. It is warm and sweet and romantic but violet is such a delicate note it should stand on it’s own. A very nice fragrance but not a must have.

  37. :

Very first Avon purchase – ordered based on the reviews here.

On my skin: Sweet and warm, yet light. Clementine and tonka bean, with some floral. Turns a bit soapy near the end.

Hardly unique or spectacular, but nice for daily wear (more so during the summer) – when I wish to smell sweet and inoffensive.

I agree that this is the “child” of Cinéma.

  38. :

    5 out of 5

The notes listed are spot on – this is sweet, fruity and gently floral. It doesn’t last long at all on me, however considering how cheap it is these days that’s no big deal. I absolutely loathe the original Far Away and fortunately, this flanker seems to have no relationship to the original at all.
Yes, this is simple. It’s not sophisticated, it’s not complex and it’s not good quality (in terms of scent, longevity, silage and projection). HOWEVER, it is pretty – it is perfect for Summer days, it is very inexpensive and it definitely won’t intrude on anyone. This seems to have a light and innocent quality about it…I actually feel I’m too old for it, or maybe my nose has been so spoiled for choice with classic perfumes lately that I just can’t get excited about it.
For the price though, this is actually a pretty decent perfume if you want something for Summer and are on a budget 🙂

  39. :

The original far away was one of my all time favorite while I was a teenager, I used it non stop, my family members got sickened of it! Every time I see a flanker, I hope that this could be my new favorite with a small twist and every time I am disappointed. This one has the creamy part that I loved in the original one, but the freshness in the begining changes too much the character for my taste.

I have this a while . I was really eager to try it. I love. AVON.
Far Away Bella has a harsh citrus opening. I am wishy washy about my citrus. . It tooka a bit to get used to it
.. within minutes I get a lovely creamy smell. I am not sure
    what it is . PRETTY!
    Then its….
    GONE
    Bummer….I will not repurchase it.

I just got my rollerball this morning. I tried it on right away – and I do like it.
I do get the notes listed and some others not listed. The clementine is very fruity on my skin and I get an apple smell with it. The magnolia is floral, not as strong as in some other avons – I get rose with it. The tonka bean is mild on my skin and I get a musk with it.
This starts out as a sweet-tart fruity floral and mellows out to a clean rose musk with fruit elements on my skin. It lasted all day on my wrist and I could smell it wafting around from time to time so I suspect a decent projection.
I will be giving this to my daughter because I know she will love it. I might get it again for myself once my free O2 runs out, if it is still around and I can get a good deal. I like to keep a clean fruity floral musk around because they are so cheerfull.

I think Avon is pushing things a little too much by insisting that this is still a Far Away frag. Unlike other Far Away editions, this one came in a clear, oval shaped decanter with tulle ribbon embelishment instead of the round, frosted one with tassles. The only thing they have in common is the round cap which is barely discernable under the tulle ribbon. As of the fragrance itself, it is rather quiet and discreet, not a sillage monster like her sisters the original Far Away or the Exotic. What I got is a soft citrusy white floral scent with a tinge of sweetness. Nice, but nothing to wow here. Usually I don’t mind a fragrance that is just nice (heck, I’m looking for a pleasant olfactory experience, not a perfume epiphany), but this is almost so bland and boring that I didn’t understand why I even bought one at all. Oh yes, it is because of the cute bottle. It looks so nice on my dresser. Plus it is on sale too so the price was quite a steal. A definite crowd pleaser, lovely presentation, but unfortunately no new ground is broken here. They call it “bella”, which is Italian or Spanish for beautiful, but this is just pretty, and a dull, colorless one at that. Maybe I’ll just give it to my sibling later on. He’s wondering how this one smells. Don’t think he’ll be inpressed though. I surely am not…
edit:After this review I just store it away and practically forgot all about it. That is til I ransacked my perfume wardrobe last week looking for something different to wear. I just can’t make up my mind and was in a hurry so I just picked this one up at random. I sprayed a generous amount and was rather surprised to find this lasted almost half a day. I applied at around 8 and it still going strong at half past 2. Impressive. The scent is pretty linear with the citrusy creamy feel to it. Nice and fresh and a great pick me up. Been using this constantly since and I must say I enjoyed it. Granted it is nothing special as I’ve said before, but still a great and “safe” perfume to go for especially if you can’t decide on what to wear. For now it is my signature scent. Since I felt so confortable with this I might seriously consider purchasing another bottle. Strange how a random experience turn out to be rather enjoyable…

This has a great composition. The clementine is prominent, yet soft, not too citrusy. It projects very well. And there’s a nice wine-colored bow adorning the sprayer.
This is definitly one of the best Avon has to offer.

If Cinema had a baby, this would be it.
Light citrus – floral notes combined with a hint of tonka dries down to a light musk. There is no musk listed, but that is what the dry down is for me.
Pale, pretty, unassuming, it’s a nice fragrance but not anything too special.

  46. :

This is one of those fragrances that are probably good for men, or women. I personally just do not care for it. I can’t put my finger on what it is I do not like about it, but the after smell on my skin smells very cheap. Upon first spraying, I feel as though I have used a man’s aftershave. I am too much of a girlie girl to appreciate this. During the middle part of the fragrance, I find the smell more appealing, but this fragrance last only about an hour on my skin. I will not be repurchasing this one, and think for sure I have to send it back to Avon.

This was quite a positive surprise for me since I find Far Away too heavy a scent and Far Away Exotic too sweet. I am no expert in telling the notes apart, but I am given the feeling that there are clearly discernible ones, and that makes it a nice scent for me. It’s neither too sweet nor too fruity. I can’t help sniffing at my wrist again and again, just love the smell!

I love all of the Far Away flankers so this should be nice…on another note-was this given a ‘dislike’ just because it is Avon?

Far Away Exotic was one of the big hits of last year for me, and I’m hoping this one might be as good. Beautiful bottle.
Finally got it, and tried it a few times, and am rather disappointed. It’s more like a flanker to Infinite Moments, with a masculine aftershave opening, than a flanker to Far Away.
As it settles down, the floral and citrus nature come out. Just OK then, neither pleasant nor unpleasant, an everyday fragrance.
