Description

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw have a common line of perfume called Soul2Soul. The first two fragrances of the collection, Soul2Soul for Him and Soul2Soul for Her, were presented in 2012. In 2013, they are joined by two new fragrances – Soul2Soul Vintage.

Faith Hill Soul2Soul Vintage is described as a scent of elegant confidence and femininity. It opens with aromas of juicy pear, sparkling plum, and passion flower. The story continues with the floral heart of peony petals, geranium from Egypt and gardenia. The base is woody and includes oak and cedar from Virginia.

Both fragrances are available as 30 ml Eau de Toilette.

A very feminine flora, like a bouquet of peonies. This is a pretty and pleasant scent, yet somewhat forgettable. This smells very Avon-ish.

I like the burst of sweet (but not too sweet) fruity, woody, florals. Nothing too special or unique. I actually like the “vintage” better than the original.
My only complaint is it doesn’t seem to last very long. I normally don’t have a problem with perfumes lasting almost forever on me. I often spritz something on the back of my neck at night so that I can get subtle whiffs of it throughout the next day (some will even last two whole days). But this one just doesn’t seem to have much staying power.

This one starts off with a juicy burst of plum, and then after an hour, it becomes a nondescript floral.
It is nothing really special, but it is a pleasant daytime fragrance.

I’ve been testing the Faith Hill line as a potential Christmas gift for someone else and I can’t decide if I like this one or not. It goes on a bit like Jessica Simpson’s I Fancy you – a sweetish light pear scent. And then it dries down to a lotion-y scent that reminds me a little bit of a weak/watery Elizabeth Arden True Love. Vintage is alright, it’s certainly unlikely to offend anyone but on my chemistry, at least during these colder months, it’s sort of a “meh”. I might retest during the warmer months.

This reminds me very much of Elizabeth Taylor’s Violet Eyes. It must be the cedar note… Even though in both fragrances the cedar does not smell like cedar to me. Not like the cedar in, say, Light Blue. Maybe it’s just my nose?
Regardless, a nice, clean, inoffensive fragrance. Feminine and soft. I can still smell it on my shirt and I have been wearing it for about 7 hours. I like it 🙂

I can see how some would like this, but it is just not for me. Very, very sweet. I bought it blindy because of the reviews (sometimes you get lucky, sometimes not). I read about a fresh, cedar and lily fragrance. Not at all what I was expecting. On my skin it almost smells like someonme spilled a beer, and tried to cover it up with a cheap cotton candy scented body spray. Way too feminine for me, and not a fresh clean scent at all. I can tell you if you like it, it lasts a LONG time! I keep trying to wash it off to no avail.

My husband got me this for Mother’s Day. I love the color and the bottle is cute. I’m just so so about the perfume. The longevity is pretty poor. I got about two hours from it and can now barely smell it. To me it is way more floral than fruity. I’m thinking this won’t be one I grab that often. If my view improves, I’ll update.

Very different from the original Soul2Soul. I found the first one sharp and masculine but this one is pure femininity. This opens with a blend of soft powdery florals that is just lovely. As it develops, it becomes more fruity and sweet. There is no woodiness that develops in the drydown for me. It remains a very soft fruity floral all the way, and sits close to the skin. The color and look of the bottle suit this scent perfectly.

I never would have tested let alone bought this one based on its name and its reported notes…I would have assumed it was very flowery and, well, vintage–in a strong, overbearing way. Also because I endlessly seek sweet vanilla scents, and this contains none.
SURPRISE! I spritzed some on at Target just because the delicate pink-trimmed bottle looked girly & promising. Mmmmmmm….instant gentle sweetness, powdery lightness. I let it dry down as I shopped and the delicate sweet spicyness remained beautiful, wafting up so pleasantly as I checked out that I panicked wondering if I’d definitely picked up that last box of it! Ah, I spotted it with the joy and relief that only we scent-obsessed folks could understand!
Now, a couple of hours later, I am delighted that the notes haven’t changed too much. I detect a gorgeous creamy gourmand-ish note coming a bit more to the forefront reminding me of the gentle sweet notes in Paris Hilton’s Fancy, but overall it’s that same well-blended powdery sweetness, yay!!!! Another new favorite!

I tested this at work (CVS) and I actually really like it! It’s very floral and pretty!

They are selling this at Sears in the U.S., but no testers. I’m dying to try this.
OK, I’ve smelled this and LOVE this rose based scent. Will be getting the Christmas set.
Update: I sprayed this on my sweat shirt with a tester to get a long lasting sample, came home and realized how alike this is to Lilly Pulitzer’s WInk mixed with her Squeeze. This is an acidic fragrance. All of the above are in the same category of Bright Crystal.

    Delicate and lady-like.

This sounds nice-I wasn’t too keen on the original as it seemed to be yet another Light Blue dupe. These notes sound much more promising 🙂
