Some oud fragrances appear to lack an identifiable oud note and just come across as something woody. A perfect example of this is Creed Royal Oud.
If you are a die hard oud fan and not only want your oud noticeable, but super strong and taken to the extreme, then Extreme Oud is the fragrance for you.
The overdose of Cambodian oud in this gem turns it into a bit of beast and I love it. Knowing that this oud and saffron fragrance can easily offend, I don’t wear it out too often and usually enjoy this at home. Hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

Really love this stuff! Yes, it´s hardcore oud, but what some call medicinal is actually resinous. Not for everybody, but complex and interesting. It does not turn into general sweetness like many other ouds, but retains the resinous, woody character in the drydown. I get a lot more notes than listed here, licorice is just one of the notes that appear. Real Cambodian oud!
My opinion is that there are far too may “general” scents out there and too few that actually dare stand out, with the risk of ending up outside many people´s taste range. This is just one of those dare devils, and it certainly goes well with my taste! A lovely winter scent that I find myself wearing more and more frequently.

Just ran into the 4 ouds that were previously only sold overseas. black, gold, extreme, and eternal. They are all nice in their own way and I got samples of all of them. After trying them all it seems they may just be amped up versions of what we already have here. Gold oud is strikingly similar to rose oud, extreme oud to pure oud, eternal oud to musk oud, and black oud to incense oud. Strange…and good lord, $475 a bottle!

I have purchased EXTREME OUD in July, having been on my wishlist for quite a long time. I was familiar with Francis Kurkdjian very refined OUD and was expecting something alongside same lines. I was disappointed. It starts very sharp and very clinical and soon dries out completly. You get a very medical OUD and not so long longevity.
