The orange is secondary to me. The vetiver and tuberose I notice first. It’s a very airy and clean scent. Rather precise in the way is wears on my skin. For a very cool scent it warms gently yet quickly. I wish it was a tad bit heavier.
Its a rather flexible scent. Suitable for both day and evening wear. This fragrance doesn’t wear very long though and that is not due to olfactory fatigue either. Beautiful scent nonetheless but I do wish it had greater sillage.

To me this is a sweet orange scent. It’s quite sweet but fresh at the same time. Smells a little like shampoo but I like it! I am wearing this in winter but I think when it hits late spring this is mainly what I will be wearing. I sprayed a couple of sprays and my partner said ” you smell good!! “

This was a birthday gift from a very good friend of mine, and I love it. This is a wonderful, warm citrus scent. As it says on the front of the bottle: sweet orange, pressed petals, desert moss, tea leaves. And that’s what I get – a lovely fresh citrus, a delicate flowery note with the tea adding a lovely depth. It’s a definite winner. Sillage is great, longevity is excellent – I got a good seven hours out of it. I wore it to work today and a colleague wanted to know what it was, so I gave her a go of it and she was won over pretty much straight away – she wanted to know where she could buy it. I’m wondering what I could layer it with – any suggestions?

I have a 5 ml rollerball of this and honestly, it might be my favorite Tokyo Milk yet. I totally agree with the reviewer that mentioned this smells just like healing gardens green tea therapy. That was a fovorite of my young teen years and this just instantly brings that all back. Very comforting and nostalgic. Citrus and tea are the strongest notes here, the florals are there but muted. The silage is probably the best of any if these scents I have tried yet and I have not been too impressed with their performance thus far. Here is hoping for good longevity!

    Nice!
    Notes on bottle
    – sweet orange
    – pressed petals
    – desert moss
    – tea leaves
Not much to say here but the Orange dominates this. It’s a likeable orange blast.

It’s okay. Nothing to write home about. White florals are not my thing because my skin really amplifies them. This is a candied floral scent that is nice for Spring or Summer.
    Moderate sillage, moderate longevity

Smells like drinking tea at a table set with beautiful flowers in a vase filled with orange juice. Starts off with a very strong and realistic black tea note and ends up with candied orange which lasts for a long time. I love it.

I won a sample of the lotion from a fellow Fragrantican. Since it was a lotion, I am not going to review longevity or sillage, as that would not be fair. However, I love the scent itself. This is a very sweet citrus, but with a refreshing note from the tea. I want to buy the actual perfume.

A super sweet fruity floral that is more candied orange than white floral. After an hour or so it fades to a light, less tooth achingly sweet mixed floral bouquet. I definitely get the St. Jos baby aspirin. Simple and straightforward, seems like it would make a nice candle. Perfume? Not for me. Not dark. Too bad they didn’t throw some dark chocolate in the mix.
The tea note is very pleasant.
I am retesting this today, and finding it to be a wearable fruitachouli, nothing spectacular but very nice, warm orange, white florals, and a clear, clean, black tea.

This is one of my signature fragrances.
The name is what got me. It has a philosophical emo vibe to it, like an Evanescence song. I’m a stereotypical Pisces so this sort of thing appeals to me.
The strange thing is that the orange is very soft and in the background on me. I don’t get much tuberose either. What stands out is the tea leaves, which for some reason Fragrantica leaves out. When I first tried it I got a rush of nostalgia, and then I realized: it smells like Green Teatherapy on me! I have so many pleasant memories of that inexpensive fragrance in high school. Everything and Nothing is like that mixed with oranges and a few more white florals. It’s very soft and not at all harsh on me. But then again I can wear green fragrances and white florals very well.

The first thing that comes in my mind as I look at this perfume standing on my vanity is the “Annoying Orange” on YouTube.
It’s incredibly overpowering and cloying, constantly disrupting your senses with a nauseauting orange sweet smell mixed with a mossy earthiness. The white florals get ‘lost in the crowd’ (of two).
I’ve had this perfume for almost three years, and for some reason it’s growing sweeter and stronger.
I remember the Sephora associate that helped me said that Tokyomilk uses vegan essential oils in their perfumes. That’s probably why. Needless to say, the scent is strong.
It’s a long-lasting fragrance; I get whiffs of it 5-6 hours into my day.
I believe this perfume is discontinued (as I cannot find it on Tokyomilk’s website) but this brand is amazing. I would check out some of their other rich and heady scents.

Sweet, plastic orange. There’s a grassy softness to it thanks to the vetiver and white florals, but sadly that only serves to bolster the screechy, cloying top note.
I agree with the reviewer below who compared this to an orange Tic-Tac. It’s like an orange Tic-Tac hand soap.
    Pass.

  13. :

    3 out of 5

I agree with whoever said this perfume smells like baby aspirin. I also think it smells like orange tic-tacs and orange pez taste 🙂
I love Everything and Nothing. It almost has a dreamsicle feel to it. It is definitely a feminine fragrance in my opinion. I get many compliments when I wear it.

Have to write another review for this. Despite the notes sound very “warm weather” like I came to conclusion (at least on my skin) that this fume work better on colder weather. When its warm it turns cloying gardenia creaminess all over but when its cool outside turn perfect orage candy flower fairy smell! Thats what I imagine a white witch would smell. She is sweet and kind and likes to spend her time in the nature practicing her spells and honoring her ancestors.

  15. :

This whole line has turned out to be one that I find interesting and unique.
This is candy and baby aspirin (yes! that is exactly it!), girly and frilly, this is a scent for Lolita girls in their ribbons and bows on a mild spring day. Opening with an effervescent Orange and white flowers, the vetiver smooths it into hard candy on the drydown.

Sniffing from the vial this smelled gorgeous, so I went ahead and sprayed about four times on my arms. Ugh bad idea it smells so musty now.. I can’t quite pick the notes apart but it does smell a bit like febreeze that is covering up a bad bathroom smell.. or potpourri that got thrown in the trash.. I hope this has weak longevity..

  17. :

    4 out of 5

I honestly feel like I’m wearing a febreeze air freshener when I put this on. I don’t have a specific one that it reminds me of, it just has that vibe; it’s very fresh and bright. The blend is pleasant and simple; sweet and zesty citrus and generic, clean white flowers. It puffs in a small cloud of girlishness for about 2 hours and then whispers away.

Like the previous reviewer, I am reviewing the little rollerball bottle from the scent wardrobe.
Although I am a fan of several of the Tokyo Dark scents, this one is only okay. It definitely is sweet, but not in a sugary way. It is a very sweet floral. It has more depth than a standard white floral but it has similar notes. I am thankful that the gardenia isn’t super noticeable because I hate gardenia (and this may be the reason this scent is only a like not a love). I find gardenia overbearing and cloying. In this scent it is well hidden by the orange and the vetiver. Although it isn’t listed in the notes, I also detect a hint of tea which adds a bit of astringency to an otherwise sweet composition.
Other writers have mentioned seasons that pair well with this scent. I am currently wearing it in Summer and it is okay. I think this would work well in Autumn but not as well in deep Winter or early Spring, at least not here in the Midwest. Maybe it would work in warmer climates.
Overall its nice but not really my style. I will probably keep the small rollerball vial and use it occasionally but I doubt I will ever buy a bottle.

    4 out of 5

I’m basing this review on a little rollerball bottle from the scent wardrobe… It’s been my experience that the method of application makes a big difference, which might be one reason why this smells different to me than to most of the other reviewers.
Well, what an odd little scent this is! First off, it’s pretty light. I really had to roll the heck out of the bottle to get enough fragrance on my skin to properly evaluate it (often the case for me with rollerball applicators)
At first, I got almost NO orange – or, if it was orange, it was more like an orange blossom… definitely floral (like Museumgal said, “very ripe” flowers… and I also picked up plenty of woody vetiver. Really, really heavenly!
As it dried, I did pick up more of the “baby aspirin” scent that Konga5000 described.
Oddly, it seems to waiver back and forth between the two! (actually, I pick up more orange when I put my nose closer to my arm – from farther away, it’s floral/vetiver.)
I definitely want to try this in spray form to see if I experience the same thing (and I hope a spray application will be stronger / last longer.)
Overall, however, I really do enjoy this scent! I don’t find that this rollerball version smells juvenile – I could certainly see myself wearing this on a “date night”, however, in this rollerball version, I’m pretty sure I’d be the only one really enjoying it as it’s probably too light for anyone more than a few of inches away from me to detect it. If I pick up a full-sized bottle, I’ll post another review to compare it to this one.
I hope this was helpful! Be well and happy sniffing!!

Light candied oranges mixed with creamy white flowers. Its very pleasant and maybe a little too strong (or too sweet? I dont know). I like it its simple and pretty.
Longevity its pretty good too on this one and sillage is moderate.

Bought this sealed at the flea market today.
    $3.00 !
This is a nice edible candied orange flower ! The dry down is organic . sweet. and white. I’m getting a Sweet Tarts/ Smarties candy vibe in there……….oh my gosh–St. Joseph’s Children’s Aspirin (orange flavor) !
Nothing overpowering , hence longevity is fair/low.
    Try this one !

I can’t understand why this is part of TokyoMilk’s “dark” line, because for me, this is the smell of a warm spring day. It’s sweet citrus and flowers. I find I tend to wear this when I’m in a good mood or want to be in one. It’s an uplifting, brightening scent. It also comes in one of my favorite bottles, and I love the quill. The scent combined with the quill make me think of a Rococo painting. Not my favorite perfume, but I enjoy wearing it; and it’s light enough for any occasion. As with every other TokyoMilk scent I’ve tried, it fades quickly and has no staying power.

  23. :

    5 out of 5

Sweet orange and candied white florals. Sweet but in the white floral fashion, not too gourmand. A bit of wood to round it out. Beautiful rich tuberose particularly, very ripe, not the green type. A good going out scent. The white florals are potent and indolic so I can’t recommend unless you love white florals.

  24. :

    4 out of 5

Another one from this line that I cannot quite decide if I like or not. In the bottle and on paper, this is light and lovely, the orange not too sharp or too sweet. This turns much more candy-ish on me though, and it is heavier on me than on paper by a factor of about 10. Not a fan of candy necklace type smells, but I might have still had on a little of another fragrance, so I’ll give this another chance. I think I am still searching for that perfect blend of warm and light though. This would smell lovely on someone else, but I don’t think I’ll be adding this to the arsenal.

  25. :

Light, fruity, easily overwhelming if you apply too many spritzes. I just finished my first bottle of it..it was a gift and I wouldn’t repurchase, but I will say that it was very nice in the winter-time, worn on a scarf. To me this is strictly a cold weather perfume. It’s unique in that I feel most fruity perfumes don’t do well as cold weather fragrance, but this one very much does. I swear I smelled some sweet, damp, fresh vanillic tobacco in this as well, even though it’s not listed as a note. I don’t get citrus in Everything & Nothing at all.

  26. :

    5 out of 5

Gentle scent, not too citrusy. I smell more of the tuberose. A calming scent.

  27. :

It smells very citrusy. Like, inside part of a mandarine zest. Fresh. Linear. Nice smell if you are into citrusy light fragrances. Not one for me.

  28. :

    4 out of 5

This smells great on me. I’ve never been into citrus scents (outside of tropical lime stuff), but this one has a bright, almost orange flower water scent to it. I definitely want to buy this.

  29. :

    3 out of 5

All I smell is orange, tea, and the tiniest bit of floral. It doesnt smell complete, like theres something missing in between the orange and tea leaf notes. The notes never combine completely. No regrets here.

  30. :

    5 out of 5

I tested this perfume on a strip of paper at Sephora and loved the composition, especially the hint of tea leaves against the orange. Of course, I asked for a sample vial to take home.
…Unfortunately, my body chemistry just does NOT work with the perfume. Similar to another reviewer here, it turned up sticky sweet on my skin. (I let my friend smell my wrist and she agreed as well; it was very fruity and almost candy-like.) It isn’t unpleasant by any means, just far too sweet to be wearable. (To me the orange actually smells pretty similar to lychee.) I didn’t catch any of the notes my nose had picked up on at the store, and when I spritzed again on a piece of tissue; none of the earthy moss or powder.
It does have moderate lasting power. I sniffed at my wrist a few hours later and could still detect the scent (which didn’t change on me after dry down).
Overall I do think it’s worth trying, but definitely sample before you buy, as it seems to have varying mileage with different people. (Hope you’ll have better luck with it!)

This is my favorite of the Tokyo Darks. You have to like the smell of orange to appreciate this fragrance as it is the most prominent note but the other notes are well integrated into the fragrance giving it an organic and mysterious quality. It is an excellent buy at $36, you can wear it, layer it, year round and it gets compliments galore.

  32. :

This scent turns heads every time I wear it! I love when people I don’t know stop and ask me what I’m wearing; and this one does that! It is clean, floral, fruity, and spicy. I absolutely love Everything & Nothing! The only con is the longevity. I have to carry it with me to re-apply throughout the day.

  33. :

    4 out of 5

I cannot say enough how much I love this perfume. It is very organic smelling- like bitter orange, moss and an underpinning of not too sweet rose. It is earthy and has great staying power. I have gotten many compliments. Even my husband likes it! I can’t wait to get more fragrances from Tokyo Milk. I am impressed for 36$.

  34. :

Very interesting fragrance. Starts bright and orangey, then soft florals work their way in to create a composition that is unique yet holds a familiarity that is inescapable. Wait for it…. Glade air freshener. That explains why I had the urge to want to use it as a linen spray. I’ll pass.

Everything & Nothing wasn’t one of the Tokyo Milk scents I went into Sephora to try – but it ended up being the one I liked most.
I was attracted initially to its somewhat nihilistic name, but this intriguing scent stuck with me.
Everything & Nothing begins with bright orange, like the slightly bitter rinds, that in a way carry the scent more than the fruit itself. Slowly a smoky tea note unfurls, joined by some very soft, very behind the scenes, nondescript floral notes. Although typically orange is quite a happy, energising scent, here it is done dark, acrid, not fruity at all. I liked this difference. Everything & Nothing made me think of embers – glowing beneath the surface of something mostly forgotten. It blended into my skin very well, unusual for citric scents.
I like it for all year round (except perhaps spring, because it is dark), but think it particularly suits late autumn, with the cold weather, but flashes of colour in the falling leaves.
Staying power was good, 6-7 hours, again, not usual for a citrusy scent. Very unisex. This is to me a citrus scent for oriental lovers and also – I don’t know another scent like it, which always makes something worth trying.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

I love Everything & Nothing! A mysterious and soft floral, it’s not linear at all, but it’s especially beautiful pairing it with Excess – it smells even darker that way. YUM!
Edit: I finally got this after ruminating about it for months and now, I just don’t like it. It smells cheap and for younger teens. Guerlain and Hermes, you have ruined me for all other perfume houses! Haha

Great perfume and an amazing price for such a gem. Heady, sensual blend of orange blossom and gardenia that literally turns heads everytime I wear it. The Tokyo Milk Dark is a line that screams sexy and headstrong, this is a must try line!!

Just received this scent as a gift! Thx babe, you rock!!
    I really enjoy this one!
I love the way the sweet orange and the pressed petals combine to create this yummy, sweet citrusy, soft sweet floral composition which smells almost edible to me!
It’s creamy, sweet & fresh… it smells really good to me!!
I would probably prefer to wear this one in spring and fall, but I will reach for it even on cold winter days, because it also seems to embrace me with a certain cuddly warmth…
    I really love this one!
Good sillage & longevity 7+ hours

I smelled this at Sephora today and out of the range of Tokyo Milk fragrances, this one seemed to be the best, at least to me. I actually think this smells like orange pez and I quite liked it. I wore it for a day, but unfortunately, it didn’t last very long. The price point is decent, though so I just may pick one up anyways.

oranges and gardenias OH MY! heavy, tart, sweet, blessed loveliness! good lord, this entire line of tokyo milk dark is making me BROKE! i want them all…

  41. :

    3 out of 5

The first thing that really hits my nose is the tartness of the oranges here. Its very much a candied sour smell, and it turns this fragrance from being simply fruity into something I’d expect a home scented spray or candle to smell like. The florals are a lovely backdrop to the tart orange, giving some creaminess and adding something more, especially after the sourness has had some time to mellow out a bit. I really do like this one but I’m still on the fence about it. I like to smell nice, but not so nice that I end up smelling like the latest addition to the Glaze or Yankee Candle line up.

  42. :

    4 out of 5

Everything and Nothing by Tokyo Milk is transparent orange candy bonbons, sweet and tart, with the slightest dusting of powder to keep them from sticking to one another in their round tin. These are specifically the La Vie de La Vosgienne Orange Hard Bonbons. I ate them all through my childhood and they were so pretty. This is where Everything and Nothing begins and ends.

  43. :

    3 out of 5

candied orange peels and grass. this is a weird one. a bit powdery, a bit floral too. This is ok, but it is kinda of heavy smelling. Not sure I want a candied orange peel scent to be this heavy. I like this better outdoors in cool windy weather for some reason. Indoors in my heated house, it’s just not as nice … too much.

  44. :

    5 out of 5

I couldn’t get passed the sweet oranges in this scent. On my skin they dominate the composition. If on the other hand you are looking for a slightly powdery sweet orange smell, this may me what you are looking for.

  45. :

    3 out of 5

This particular entry in the Tokyo Milk Dark series really toes the line between personal and home fragrance and ultimately teeters over to the other side. I am reminded by EVERYTHING & NOTHING of holiday potpourri, to be more specific. Something about the combination of orange rind, tea leaves, and dried flowers just makes this scent a touch too familiar and “craft-ish” to me.
As a stand-alone perfume, EVERYTHING & NOTHING doesn’t really work that well on my skin, but I suspect that it might be salvageable with some layering, perhaps even with this line’s own BITTERSWEET, a cocoa-flour composition. I’ll give it a try…
