Eva Longoria is presenting her fragrance Eva in April 2010. Notes of the fragrance are harmonically blended of citruses, bergamot tea, neroli, aldehydes, jasmine, lily of the valley, freesia, leather musk, amber and sandalwood. The fragrance is available as 50 and 100ml edp. The fragrance was created in cooperation with Falic Fashion Group and perfumers of the house of Takasago. The feminine glass flacon is a creation by Wilhelm Liden, Paul Meyers & Friends and manufacturer Bormioli Luigija. Besides this edition, another fragrance with Eva‘s name was presented. It was created in cooperation with LR Health & Beauty Systems group and it belongs to Forbidden Fruits collection which includes 4 fragrances inspired by 4 Desperate Housewives.

This frag is not sweet at all. It is screechy and bitter, it’s a mix between lime and celery. If sprayed lightly, it is fresh and citrus-y. But if prayed generously, it really becomes all celery.

This was a total scrubber for me. A very unusual off scent that is a mixture of sandalwood, neroli and slight lemon. Not for me.

I purchased this for a friend who said it is her favorite perfume. I sprayed some for myself and it’s a pleasant citrus fragrance. It is not something that would be a favorite for me but I know how much she loves it so every so often I buy a bottle for her. There’s not a lot to say about it because it really is a bit of a run of the mill citrus fragrance however that being said I would wear it over many others.

Eva by Eva Longoria is literally such a beautiful fragrance. This scent is very fresh and it is something Eva would actually wear. I adore this scent for summer because it is something I would not wear for winter or other seasons because it suits summer much more perfectly. I love the fresh spice smell to this fragrance as it reminds me of grapefruit and coming out of the shower. Such a loveable fragrance! The packaging is simple but with the sleeve added to the box it makes it much more beautiful and Eva looks stunning on it. The bottle is an elegant but simple. However, it is a perfect bottle.
I would totally recommend this fragrance to people who love fresh/spicy scents.

I’m really surprised at how much hate this perfume gets…it was my signature scent for a couple years, and i still like it and wear it. This is my happy day fragrance…a blast of citrus, and fruit and joy, lasts a long time and its cheap! Quite soapy but nice.

I had no idea this perfume even existed, then again I’ve been out of the game for some time. So, I found it on special at Shoppers Drug Mart, it was in a gift set which was absolutely delightful. Anyways, upon first sniff, like many other reviewers here, there is a strong burst of citrus…to my nose it is a blend of oranges and grapefruit. It is a very fresh scent, not deep really in any particular way but very fresh and pleasant. Unlike many here, I DONT get the cat urine smell on my skin…I do find that odd as usually fresh scents do not marry well with my skin. But “Eva” does…and it’s fragrance actually reminds me very much of another fresh favourite of mine, the “Body” by Victoria scent released a few years ago. So, Eva is not deep, but she is pretty. Eva is perfect for spring and summer, mostly daytime wear. I find Eva has to be reapplied every few hours. She also mixes well with some sweeter scents, I’ve been layering her with an old favourite, Pink Sugar and am very delighted with the combination 🙂 So all in all, Eva is a nice fragrance and I am very happy I purchased it…however, it is NOT one I would have purchased at full price. But I loved it enough to run back and buy one more gift set so I would be set for a good while. Fresh, pretty, not deep, but very girly and feminine. Thumbs up from me 🙂

I just saw this in the shop and I’ve never heard of it, since I’m a massive fan of Desperate Housewives and Eva I thought i’d buy it as it was cheap.
I think it smells really lovely and sweet.. I read these reviews and everyone’s saying it smells of cat urine?! I personally don’t smell that at all.. but now i’m a little afraid to wear it incase other people smell cat urine……
But for me, I think it’s a very nice, sweet and cute perfume!

How shall I put it, this fragrance is just b.l.a.h. Sampled this at the perfume counter at Christmas time and saw it banded at 2 bottles for a discount price. I was “yay! a celebrity frag at an affordable price” but when I tested it that ended my wishes to buy. Talk about nothing special! Its sour and acidic….no flowery goodness, no musky pep! I was so disappointed that Eva put her name to this. Probably it smelled better when the oils were mixed, I don’t know. Probably my nose needs to be more attuned to the notes but for those who want to buy, don’t expect too much from this. Even a linear fragrance like “Green Tea” by Elizabeth Arden is better than “Eva” Luckily I didn’t let this one affect me, I persevered until I got KK Pure Honey!

Being a crazy perfume collector person who is also named Eva, I sort of had to get this one. I knew the reviews were a bit sketchy, but I went for it anyway. After all, my tastes wouldn’t necessarily be that of everyone else. Boy, was a wrong. This was really, really NOT good. I wore it several times and just couldn’t get into it. Believe me, I tried.
It didn’t smell at all like cat urine to me, as others have reported, rather it smelled like sour, rotting fruit(?). The longer it sat on my skin the more imbalanced the already wonky notes became, until I felt like I was wearing a fetid citrus orchard.
TL/DR: Not recommended. Very poorly designed fragrance.

I had bout a bottle of it today, hearing all the bad reveiws i still went for it anyway i was thinking ppl were just being mean about how it smelled i thought i’ll be getting a bottle of cat urine or bug repellent perfume lets face none of those smell nice lol. But anywho i got in the mail bout it from ebay i was not exspecting much from this perfume anyway just thought hey it would be nice to smell it for myself and own a bottle eva longoria’s perfume and just add on my perfume collection. Well my husband was out doing errans i got the package and opened it i smelled a weird funky smell it smelled almost like cat urine i was like great just like what the other reveiwers said yuck! but i was like u know what maybe ill just spray and it wont smell funky like that so i sprayed it on the top on my hand and my 1st impression was oh wow it does not smell like cat urine afterall it was an okay smell not the best. So i just went on doing my thing wich was surfin the net as i was surfing the net there was this lingering smell of some sort of bug repellent smell dident think much of it and rememberd o hey i spayed some of the eva longoria’s perfume on the top of my hand i re-smelled it and BAM!!! there it was the bug repellent smell omg it makes a lovely bug repellent spay tell you that much lol so i gotta agree with the bug repellent smell after it lingers you can smell it the whole cat urine smell thingy yeah i smelled that on when you 1st open the box. When my husband came back home i was like honey i to the eva longoria’s perfume wanna smell it he was yeah i respayed it on the back of my hand and he took a wiff and was like oh its not to bad i laughted he was like i dont see why ppl are saying it smells like cat urine i dont smell that and after it lingerd i had him smell it again he was like damn that shit stinks it smells like bug spay and he said it made him naueous and gave him a headache i dont know what note is makeing it smell like bug spay i really dont maybe its the spice but either way its not a pleasent smell ofter it lingers for a lil bit. Some ppl may like it but its not for me maybe my sister would like it so maybe ill give it to here for a gift for x-mas =)

This perfume is too sharp and acidic of a fragrance for me. I think you need to do just one spray in order to get a decent smell. Maybe it’s the aldehydes killing this scent, Or perhaps it’s just my chemistry making it smell not so great. The only scent I get from this is bug repellent.

I just got a little bottle of this because I purchased her other perfume in the red bottle and just love spritzing that on whenever, wherever. This one I have to say is a bit like a paper cut. It is quite a sharp jolting sensation as you spray it and you tend to reel back with the sudden sharpness almost like it has given you a little bite on the wrist.
I have waited a few minutes after spraying and I was careful how I sprayed it just as a mist towards my wrist. It settled nicely and it is warming with my skin. I have to say, I still like it. I can see how people smell cat pee as I have many pets and cleaning up after them I know the smell of pee very well so I can agree but I like the sharpness here and I ignore the cat pee association as I know it doesn’t actually have cat pee in it.
If you are familiar with the ‘Fresh’ brand this reminds me of the Lemon edition. We don’t have this brand in Australia but I got it when I was on holiday in America at Venice Beach LA. If you like Miracle by Lancôme or Just Me by Paris Hilton or Love and Glamour by Jennifer Lopez you may like this even if you like the Cool Water Wave by Davidoff or White Linen by Estee Lauder or even Charlie Blue by Revlon minus the powdery finish Charlie has on some people or Brilliant White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor. I think a man could wear this also as it is not overly feminine. This does come across as peppery as other reviewers have noted.
Try not to spray it really hard or douse yourself in it even if the weather is hot and the temptation is there because I think it could be quite gross in that case but a light mist of it on yourself it seems to settle nicer.
I think when Eva said she didn’t like perfume or couldn’t wear it I think that has lead some people to expect a skin scent not something so herbal and medicine or astringent but it appears she meant she doesn’t like perfumes that smell like perfume or cupcakes she obviously appreciates the more astringent aromas. It does also remind me of citrus cleaning products but I don’t mind. It is not a safe buy for someone as a gift even if you know they like Eva because as all the reviews have mentioned, it is an acquired taste and most people will not appreciate it or have the confidence or patience to let it develop they will just recoil in disgust.
If you have the patience and confidence give it a try when you are not going anywhere and see how you go.
I think it is a well made perfume it lasts for hours on me and I think Eva did have a hand in this creation it certainly doesn’t smell like some vat of vanilla pudding with her name slapped on the front she has stayed true to herself and if it only appeals to a small group of people I don’t think she cares she doesn’t appear to be wanting to please the masses.

This smells so unbelievably peppery! It’s like sharp citric pepper! Kinda smells like tequila, lime and pepper. I quite dislike this. I couldn’t believe Eva had put her name to this. I think it’s the aldehydes. There’s no balance in this perfume. I would have expected something soft, warm and ambery from Eva. I’ll at least give her points for surprising me.

I don’t get the “cat pee” smell that so many people are talking about. I smell a ton of citruses, that are a tad sour, and I can really smell the slightly powdery lily of the valley in the dry down. Maybe the combo of the two are what people think smells like cat pee? I think it smells like shampoo or body wash. To me it smells very similar to Paris Hilton’s Heiress, but with a much lighter, less sweet dry down. I own both, and prefer Heiress over this. I will be trying this out in the spring & summer though, as it seems like it would smell better in the warmer weather.
Edit: After wearing this a few more times, I can definitely smell the “cat pee” that everyone gets from this perfume. It smells great for the first hour or so after spraying, then bam, the cat pee rears it’s ugly head. It smells just as bad, if not worse on clothes, so it’s not just my skin chemistry. It’s a bummer, cuz I like the opening. I don’t want to smell like a litter box, so I gave this one away. My daughter likes it, but even she noticed the way it turns stinky. It smells the same on her as it did on me. I’m not sure if she’ll keep it or not, but thankfully this one doesn’t project more than 1-2 feet, so I won’t smell it unless I’m close to her.

I purchased the 1 fl. oz. perfume bottle for $29.95 a couple of mos. ago. Have to say, this fragrance has notes of orange, grapefruit, bergamot tea, amber & sandalwood. This perfume is definitely a day time fragrance, which is perfect for the Summer Season cause of the citrus-y vibe going on. Personally, I spray on this perfume after showering & instantly get a citrus-y rush. Very refreshing! As for the lasting power, it lasts bout 2 hrs. max on my skin. Wish it would last longer. On a scale of 1 to 10, have to rate this fragrance a 6. It’s an okay perfume, nothing too special. I don’t intend to repurchase this product once I use it up.

I bought this after smelling it in Allure. I get sooo many compliments when I wear Eva. I’m surprised noone has mentioned the mint notes in it. It does smell of grapefruit, but I think the minty notes are just as strong. It’s very refreshing and long-lasting. Men and women alike seem to like it. One person told me I smelled “delicious” and another described it as “yummy”. Now my daughter is addicted to it and she gets as many compliments as I do!

Its definitely not a favorite but I’ve smelled much worse and for WAY more money.
Too me it smells mostly citrusy…I smell a lot of oranges but I am also picking up on the tea smell as well.
I think it smells fresh and clean and is mostly suitable for Summer.

I think you need to give it more of a chance before avoiding it based on the reviews if you’ve never tried it before.
I think it kind of smells like those Fuzzy peach candies that you can buy for a few cents at the variety stores…:)

At first this just smells like a normal citrus fragrance to me, nothing special. However leave it for 5 minutes and it smells of tobacco. It is awful. Really do not recommend even if it is reduced, it will just end up taking up space.

Eva by Eva Longoria is not a mainstream fragrance. You have to be the kind of person who really likes aldehydes. It’s a leafy fragrance like a tea. Not sweet like grass but, a deep green citrus scent. Heavy on the bergamot and neroli. Lemon freshness and blooming white florals of freesia and lily of the valley. I don’t love it or hate it. It’s certainly unique but, catered to a person with a very specific preference in perfume.

I was working at a cosmetic counter awhile back and had the chance to sample many perfumes. This was made for eva longoria because she is allergic to perfume and can’t stand strong scents
This scent however is strong and bitter and horrible. I gagged the first time I smelled it.
You couldn’t pay me to wear this, I don’t even consider it perfume smells like mosquito repellent.

So, the word is that Eva Longoria isn’t a fan of perfume. This fragrance was supposedly created in light of her tastes, so unquestionably I expected a soft, inoffensive fragrance, somewhat similar in style to Lolavie by Jennifer Aniston.
Well, I’ll be damned! If Eva doesn’t like perfume, I can hardly imagine her wearing this. ‘Sweaty grapefruit’ certainly describes this fragrance well. I’ve worn this fragrance for a good five hours and it certainly hasn’t improved.
Putrid is a word that springs to mind easily. The citrus accords are acidic, sharp and unbearable. I hate to say it, but Eva smells like hot sick, especially if one had skulled a glass of orange juice prior to hurling.
Not only is it unpleasant, but the scent and the packaging reeks of cheapness. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not bashing this fragrance because I dislike Eva Longoria, because I don’t. I quite like her actually, but to look at her you’d think she could release a fragrance much better than this.
On a good note, this fragrance does last, which is fortunate if you actually enjoy the scent. As for me, I’ll be showering straight after this review has been posted.

I tested this the other day and it smells like Jennifer Lopez Love and Glamour but lasts longer. If you like Love and Glamour then try this. It is also like Kenneth Cole Reaction in that it is fruity and fresh but sour at the same time. I like it, it is very green. I will get it just to add to my fresh grapefuit type of perfumes because they are better in summer I think these bloom on the skin in warm weather. On me in cold weather they just smell too sour. I find this with Babydoll by YSL. This is not easy to get I just happened to see it at the chemist near my house I didn’t know she had a perfume it hasn’t been promoted all that much here.

I love Eva Longoria. I love her as Gabrielle on Desperate Housewives. That is why I bought her cookbook and perfume! 🙂 The cookbook is pretty good..I work in a kitchen myself and I have thrown in a couple of things from there. Anywho..
EVA and I don’t get along so well..Its citrus opening has me feeling fresh and radiant for a moment just like d&g’s light blue makes me feel. 🙂 BUT then this musty tin can leather note makes me walk a step back and makes me wonder why on earth this had to happen…I wait..and I wait…and it just doesn’t settle so well on my skin. After a while it does smell somewhat sexy and nice..but it depends on my mood. That upsets me…I wanted to love it but after many tries…this has become my locker room scent..sorry Eva 🙁

To me, Eva smells almost exactly like D & G Light Blue. I smell fresh young sweet guava on it.
I didn’t bother buying Light Blue before since I’m not a fan and it’s overly used, I mean it’s already a very common scent as almost everyone wants it. Having said that, I don’t think I’ll be buying a 2nd bottle of Eva.
It’s not a special scent, it’s more of a casual fragrance. Good thing it’s not as expensive.
BTW, the bottle is the cheapest looking bottle I ever saw.

I asked my boyfriend what kind of scents turned him on and he said, “peaches.” Seeing as peach based fragrances are a little difficult to find to begin with I figured I’d take my chances at my local Walmart. I saw the box that someone had removed from the shoplift-proof packaging and opened so I figured I’d give it a whiff. I was shocked that what I sniffed smelled disturbingly like peaches. I picked up an unopened box and sprayed it on my wrist when I got in my car.
At first, it smelled more “berry” to my nose and I figured I was stuck with another “death by strawberry” type fragrances. After 20 minutes of dry down, I sniffed again. While I can tell that there is a lot of citrus in there, and peach is listed nowhere in the notes, on my skin this smells so much like peaches it’s disturbing. I don’t see myself wearing this regularly but the boyfriend liked it so I see it getting a lot of use on date nights!

EVA goes on sharp and citrusy. Almost so sharp that it feels like it can cut right through my nostrils. But I still find myself sniffing my wrist.
This scent is very clean and citrusy,but almost in danger of going sour on the wrong skin. I didn’t want to get too warm or sweat because I was afraid it could turn sour.
But it stayed pretty fresh throughout the day. I don’t find any ‘deep’ notes on my skin. It stays VERY bright and ‘top notey’ on me.
Citrus, aldehydes, and crisp florals. ‘Crisp’ seems to sum up EVA in a word.

was out round town doing shopping. yes perfume shopping included. im such a scentoholic!. anyways tested this one out for curiousity reasons on my back of hand and tried elle intense on other hand. have to say 8/10 for lasting power.its stronger longer lasting scent compared to elle intense. strong citrus scent mainly pink grapefruit. not getting any aldehyde atall either.very soft hint of flowers of jasmine and freesia and lilly of the valley.also getting the neroli and a creamy musk background. not getting other listed notes as i think that the citress notes are v. dominant. could imagine this one being refreshing on a hot summers day.

A very refreshing, clean, soft and feminine smell. Everytime i wear this i feel like I’ve just stepped out of the shower. Its very easy to wear and not overpowering at all.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a light, fresh and easy to wear perfume.

Just bought a set of this on the 50% off Christmas sets at Wal-mart. what a steal. WOW I loved it!!!! A+++++ It’s so fresh, clean, still light and very soft, it’s great to wear at work, everyone’s complimented me on it today. I would definitely recommend trying this if you like very fruity- clean fresh fragrances, yummy like biting into a fresh orange/apple/pear at once. I’m definitely a fan now.

I was finally able to get this perfume about a week ago from Perfumania. It is a very pleasant scent. The main note that I smell is citrus and then it dries down to a woodsy scent. I would compare it’s similarity to Clinique Happy Heart,but not a lot like it. It is not strong at all so I would agree that it might suit those that are bothered by strong perfumes. This is a good addition to someone’s perfume collection.(I hope this review is not erased like my other ones)

Floral aldehyde? Really? Admittedly, I never got to try this on skin, but I’m pretty confident the aldehydes barely make an appearance in the overall composition.
If I were to classify this at all, Eva would be a floral or floral fruity. Bright and sparkling (yes, this means synthetics), but also a chic scent (yes, this means not teeny-bopper). A unique balance between citruses, freesia, and delicate violets. The woodiness in the base keeps it from being too femme; there’s something a little edgy about it. Not entirely off the wall, but unique in its own way. I like.
Now to be honest, this is only based on its tester strip value. I suspect the sheer quantity of synthetics would make its performance on skin a little tricky. What a shame.

I can’t wait to get my hands on a real sample and see what this does on my skin! :)I definately smelled freesia and citrus and floral… I am hoping the floral isn’t too strong. Because it is a fragrance family I seem to love besides berry/vanilla. I also love fruity/ floral Citrus for summer. So clean light and fresh. Something about Freesia always smells a hit of grapes to me. Just really love that note.

I smelled it in Allure and I really like it. Its much stronger than Light Blue. Its citrusy but very sharp. Like the zest or peel of the citrus. I think its really nice. Its not ure typical fruity super sweet candy that most celeb scents are. Its totally not what I was expecting. Its a nice surprise and would be perfect for spring and summer. I wanna get me a bottle. I’ve only tested this out of the paper fold in a magazine which in no way lets you make an accurate review…BUT….I’m thinking this will be no better than an Avon “flop”. I think it will be at most, alright.

If you like the smell of grapefruit, then you should give this one a try. I have a body wash from Neutragena that smells similar to this. I have had this scent for a while now, and even though I tried it at home I had never venture to wear it in public. Today, I’m wearing to the office for the first time, and as I’m walking in, I get my first compliment. I have to be honest, I was a bit skeptical about wearing this scent. Eva is a refreshing spring summer scent that has a strong opening of citrus specially grapefruit. It’s a bit sour and the white floral are dominant. This is extremely long lasting making it great addition for the summer months. . There are some scientific studies out there that I heard about that showed that if a woman was wearing grapefruit scent the men in the study perceived them to be younger that they really were sometimes even up to 10 years younger. I don’t know how true this study is but it you want to be perceived as younger than you are you might want to give this a go and put it to the test yourself!
Edit: Wore it for the first time to the office the other day and I was complemented on the fragrance. I was skeptical to wear it because of all the negative reviews and the fact that it does smell a bit like sweat. So you never know, you might not like the fragrance but others will.
