Description
Euphoria Calvin Klein Collector’s Edition for 2016 is the iconic fragrance of the classic Euphoria in a new, limited edition design. It is a striking oriental fragrance, inspired by the feeling of a seductive dream.
The head note opens with a stimulating mixture of pomegranate and green accord. The heart note shows mythical-exotic notes with fresh lotus blossom and black orchid. Through subtle allusions of sensual amber and a creamy accord, the base note is deeply mysterious and feminine.
Inspired by contemporary art and metallic forms, Euphoria Collector’s Edition is a luminous and modern interpretation of the iconic original design. For a seductive and luxurious finish, the elegant bottle is wrapped in expressive metallic pink.
Available as a 100 ml EDP.

I bought this today by chance thinking that the difference from the original was only the shiny metallic collector’s edition bottle. I used Euphoria several years ago and maybe can’t quite remember the scent now, but I think they seem to be pretty similar. The signature Euphoria’s tart fruity sweetness and floral seductiveness on the woody base is here, pomegranate is definitely prominent, as well as orchid and lotus. But the musk is switched in favor of whipped cream, and I think it works this way quite well too. It is creamy and less masculine in the dry-down. Now I want to find the original Euphoria again so as to compare side by side since I am curious about what Japanese Loquat and Champaca notes are adding to this limited edition, or how they smell.
UPDATE: I’ll be returning this even without comparing it to the original. Even though the notes are almost the same in the description, I feel that this is too synthetic smelling in general and has harsh alcohol smell on the initial spritz. The dry down is much more pleasant, but I just can’t get past the initial strong alcohol smell. I somehow missed this nuance the first day I was testing it out since I was mainly looking for similarities or differences with the original Euphoria (in my memory). This harsh synthetic alcohol scent problem is probably not due to the notes themselves, but due to the reformulation. This is probably the reason why they made it only limited collector’s edition, the manufacturers must have known that it would not gain popularity because of inferior quality of the scent. Just another tactic by perfumers to gain a couple of extra bucks dazzling fans of original Euphoria with something shiny, new, “collector’s material” and oooooh….limited edition….Suggesting it somehow makes the scent kinda special. Well, it doesn’t! Also, longevity and sillage are just barely moderate, unlike the original. All typical reformulation problems.

Any reviews!! Is it the same perfume but in a different bottle ?!!
Oraceaddy – :
no, the original has no whipped cream in it, so this must be a cremier, better and hopefully more sensual version of the original. maybe just slightly different, considering the notes…not bad! cant wait to try..
I have ssen this already last month in a department store….didnt know this is another scent, as they didnt have a tester, thought it would be just a colletor eddition bottle of the original and teh sale assistant told me the same.lol gotta go back and blind buy this gem!

I don’t understand is this the same as the original as it states or not because it says it has a creamy accord the original doesn’t?
