blind buy. first impressions:
spice is very subtle, almost none.
smoke is nothing like ashes or incense. again almost none.
tea + oakmoss + vetiver + patchouli comes out clean but nothing realistic or earthy there. Feels quite synthetic and does not have a deep green vibe. I am also suspecting a lot of Iso-E super in this blend, reminiscent of cedar feel in the dry down.
I see comparisons to Lalique’s ‘Hommage Voyageur’. I can see that for the first 30 minutes but the similarity is very minor. maybe 5-10 % due to oakmoss, patchouli, bergamot, vetiver combo. Although I am not a big fan of ‘Hommage Voyageur’, I can tell that Lalique’s patchouli heavy blend with papyrus is far superior and pungent, has a lot more character.
Overall I would not consider entourage rouge as a tea based fragrance. It is very bland, on the linear and inoffensive side. Don’t expect a ‘Gucci PH II’ or ‘Tea for two’ like tea here, 0% similarity to those.
