Beautiful fragrance that smells very expensive. It is a very refined, boozy and creamy smell that lasts 10 hours on my skin. I absolutely love this brilliant fragrance from the house of Roja Dove. It shall be in my collection for ever.
It is very versatile & is great for casual, office & tuxedo evenings & is excellent for dates with the wife.

    Hi Fragantica team,
Would you please help to add the eau de parfum version since it is quite different from the “pure” parfum that it´s shown here?
    Thanks.

For me this comes as one of the most complicated very hard to interpret scents I smelled and owned. I get tons of booze mixed with vanilla all the way and streaming along the river of ginger. The smell is weird and captivating, leaving you wondering what’s that smell? And I say you as this thing is noticeable by people around, unless they are holding you close. At first sprays it fills the room in an unbearable and choking way, but it dies in minutes (10 minutes most) and hides in your skin. I like the smell actually love it, but for the price, I would have expected much more performance out of it. My opinion, if you have lots of money spare,….still get decant to try it.. Don’t buy this one.

Great fragrance! The middle stage and the long drydown remind me of Nasomatto Baraonda! And i love them both!

Love at first sniff, I love this fragrance. Beast mode performance.

Ultra luxurious, complex, satisfying, and pricey. The sum total of the notes instantly creates an opening like the finest gourmet cola one could imagine. It’s a “soft” but rich dry tobacco; neither sharp nor bitter. There is a gentle, powdery-sweet vanilla which I don’t personally find cloying or syrupy. I would avoid this if you are averse to even slightly powdery perfumes. I’m not a particular connoisseur of “boozy” fragrances, but I like to think that the cognac is beautifully incorporated into the heavier base notes here. It does not smell overtly like liquor the way Nasomatto Baraonda announces itself in its respective opening and mid. Roja Dove adorns his tobacco and vanilla oriented masterwork with musk, citrus, spice, and floral elements. This is what distinguishes and elevates his perfume to luxury-niche. The blending is magical.
Both of mine are the parfum concentration with the black labels and black crystal tops; the boxes have purple as the secondary color. Perhaps they’re from the initial batch/production run, since the current bottles appear to have a gold label, along with pale gold being the secondary color on the box which also features a printed golden “Roja” signature… I still pick up that sweet musky base after a full day of wearing on skin, and even a week later on clothes.
As I bask in the personal olfactory glory of my dedicated researching, sampling, and curating…Creation E resides in the uppermost echelon.

It burns my heart this fragrance was so much reformulated that there isn t a slight resemblence of what it is and what there used to be. I wished everyone could ve smelled it in the first year of appearance. Now it stays 3 hours on skin compared to almost 10 back then. Sadly all the Roja fragrances have been mutilated, just so everyone could gain more and more cash.

    @supercleanoozy
One is the EDP and the other is the parfum version which costs more, you have the partum.

This is a beautiful boozy fragrance with prominent notes of cognac, vanilla, and jasmine to my nose. It kind of smells like sweet root beer. It is also totally unisex. Sillage is good while longevity is also good.

    Disgusting.
    Sorry to sound so harsh!!!

Seems I’ve been wearing heavier fragrances that I’m used to this summer season…and I like it!
Today, I’m wearing creation-e parfum by @rojaparfums, a Boozy, Vanilla, and tobacco fragrance. It opens up with a cognac accord with some citruses, giving a Coca-Cola vibe. Settles to beautiful cognac, vanilla, gingery and tobacco drydown. No description can do any justice to the excellence of this awesomeness. If you say it’s the best tobacco fragrance, it fits; if you say it’s the best boozy fragrance, all well and good, so sexy and attractive on anyone. A few sprays, may be 4 and I am good to go. Close to the skin but solidly projects in your bubble at least for 8 hours and people will definitely notice you. Give it a try and thank me later. If I had to make a top list of fragrances to keep for ever, this will definitely be in the top 5.

Did a swap this weekend whereby I got to use this in exchange for letting her use one of mine. (Do this quite often.) Yes, I know it’s ‘pour homme’ but, TBPH, I am not being bound by that. And anyway, labelling perfumes ‘pour homme’ or ‘pour femme’ is contrary to what Roja Dove himself says. Wasn’t it he who said “a rose on a man is a masculine rose, and a rose on a woman is a feminine rose”?
Anyway, I had not been particularly impressed by this when I sampled it some time ago in the Selfridges boutique, and I had pretty much forgotten about it. But my friend said “no, seriously, this stuff is just magnificent!”, so she talked me into trying it. And, well, my view of it is just completely transformed! This one is a stunner – nothing short of that. And it’s worth its really very stiff price tag in that you are not going to get anything anything like it for less.
I think the first word that comes to mind to describe it is “concentrated”. By this I don’t mean I used the pure parfum – no, it was the EDP – I mean that the aroma itself is concentrated. It’s just crammed! It’s like one of those peaches you sometimes get if you’re lucky (and in this country you have to be very lucky) that isn’t just juicy, but positively spills all over your face. And the amberiness and the muskiness of it are almost like palpable physical presences. And it’s sheer content is so unlike that of anything I’ve ever worn before. But it does have that Coca-Cola / Jägermeister liqueur evocativity to it, that I’ve noticed many other people speak of. You might think “wouldn’t want to wear something that smells of that” … but yet it is very eminently wearable. I wrote in my review of Escada’s Taj Sunset, not entirely joking, that it triggers a reflex that you have spilt some fruity drink on yourself; but when I liken this to a drink, I certainly do not liken it in anything like the same sense. And as for sillage & longevity … just sorted – completely sorted! Having first applied this on Friday night, there was no real possibility of wearing anything else meaningfully for the rest of the weekend.
Oh, by the way … notes-analysis: I got the benzoin right! But I would not have been able to tell you that there are tobacco and cognac in there – they are just too well ‘plumbed’ or ‘wired’ in.
One last thing – it was well received also. My stern critics were pretty much silent about this one, and one stranger was really very very interested in what it was.

    too animalic for my taste.
there’s a ressemblance with Jasmin de Nuit by The Different Companies.
the Jasmine in here and in Jasmin the nuit are both really Indolic.
so glad i sampled it first and didnt blind buy this fragrance.
some might say my taste is not good. well maybe..

The opening is all about cognac. A warm, dark brown and reddish dry one endowed with very suave and enjoyable Coca-Cola and subtle cherry (Tobacco) attributes. You have a single slice of green citrus/lime resting on your glass of alcohol just to add the slightest tad of brightness, probably helped by ginger, through this very comforting and balmy vibe emanating from the boozy liquor. As time goes on, like many citrus notes, it dies down leaving place for a smooth vanilla to come in and work perfectly in parallel with the main note of cognac. The result is kept very masculine to me by a woodsy, sandalwood note dominating the base along with very subtle patchouli preventing the boozy vanilla to ever turn feminine or overly sweet, like it often does, or even gourmand.
First time I tried it, it was with a vial which I believe to project much less than sprayers. I was extremely surprised, after applying some on top of my hand with the little dabber, to get whiffs of it when my hand was nowhere near my nose. So this one projects a lot! I must say that while I have 2-3 to try still from his line, this is thus far the only one I’ve found bottle worthy and that I own from Roja Dove.

  15. :

Much to my surprise, Engima turned out to be some kind of strange hybrid of a gourmand-animalic fragrance.
It opens up with a gourmand accord of vanilla, tonka bean, cognac, and cola flavor (yes you can use flavor ingredients for fragrances)—alongside a hay note underneath it with this seemingly haunting barnyard quality. Naturally one would suggest this is oud, but the depth of the animalic accord suggests a greater complexity to it than just oud. All of this is laid on a base of pure benzoin, based on what it dries down to late in the game.
The Island of Doctor Moreau would be the first thing that comes to mind for me, with Roja Dove taking inspiration from literature in classic British style. A horse, a horse—my kingdom for a horse!
Not really amused personally—and I don’t buy it either; as I would find this type of thing to be more of an attention re-direct exploit than any serious motive behind a creation of this kind.
This is likely a reservist formula of some type, that Roja Dove would charge select inner circle members an creator’s fee to remove the animalic nuance from. Dua Fragrances offers the same service for free with their interpretation of Creation-E, which is much better, so I hope nobody would find any need for that.
Such bad style for a luxury house. The price is already beyond all inclusive for the best quality available and the artisan’s touch. I can’t image showing such disregard for human life without taking a serious neg for it. Definitely not well thought through—as none of them seem to do.

An intoxicating foray of black pepper and Lime collided intensely yet stunningly with freshly chopped ginger and cognac straight from its oak cask. Exquisitely underpinned by a bouquet of animalistic Jasmine massaged in benzoin and barrel aged tobacco. A Boozy, classy delicate dance on the promenade; cigar smoke fills the air while the spill of spirits become more distinguished with each temptress that passes by.

ROJA DOVE’S ENIGMA is by far the most COMPLEX,MYSTERIOUS,INTERESTING cologne ive ever smelled,i definitely have to give this one some more wearings to fully UNDERSTAND what i have in my collection,I’ll say this, buy a 5-10ml SAMPLE,because it most definitely is NOT FOR EVERYONE…In my opinion its a totally different scent than TOBACCO VANILLE,i dont see the likeness at all…

Not sure how you could possibly get that interpretation of this, jonmichael, but everyone has their own opinion.

The fragrance was clearly made for a man, It’s very masculine. Nothing feminine about this one guys so check it out if you want to smell like a gentlemen. Nice fresh tobacco, woods, boozy and a warm masculine composition of nicely blended spices. I like it a lot, but not worth the $400 price tag in my opinion. For me, no fragrance is worth that kind of money. You might differ and that’s perfectly fine.
Guys don’t be confused by thinking it’s feminine because some women wear this. Try it out yourself with a sample. Better yet, ask your wife or female friends what they think. If they are feminine ladies (like my wife) they’ll want you to wear this because it’s very masculine but in a gentlemen way, if that makes sense.

Sweet cola vibe. Strongly smells of Coca Cola. Dense, well blended. Never got a compliment off of it. A bit musky in the dry down. Escada Magnetism for Men is very similar. Not as well blended but the top is extremely similar. I sprayed them on my hands tonight to see if my memory of Magnetism was that close. They are super similar!
Longevity is above average on my skin and projection is average for a few hours.
A 7.5/10 for me. It’s interesting and well blended. Worth $300+? Not to me.

This is my newest acquisition and I must say it’s a cold weather banger for sure. When I first smell this I get that cognac really strong. Followed by tobacco and a little vanilla. The vanilla seems to stay with you through the life of the fragrance. The dry down is more of a powdery amber/vanilla with a very light cinnamon and booze accord. It’s very nice. This fragrance just oozes class. I do get the cola vibe but only in the beginning. Pricing on this one is steep. I got mine from Osswalds NYC and for $315 I received 50mls of this juice. Presentation is amazing with this one too. The bottle is heavy glass and the cap is heavy gold. The box is probably one of he better boxes I have seen. I hate paying over $200 and getting a box I can get nautica voyage in. Unboxing niche fragrances for me is an experience in itself for me. I really do love this one. Heavy projection quiets down to a perfect moderate and spillage is fantastic. This lasts all day on my skin. Two sprays hung around for 15 hours plus. So for me this is an easy rating.
    9/10
Gotta be real and drop a point for pricing. If you can afford it, rock it because this is pretty awesome.

I voted ‘ DISLIKE ‘ on this fragrance but after about 30 minutes on my skin I had to come back here and change that ‘DISLIKE’ to a ‘LIKE’ . It smelled sweet and Coca Cola-like from sample I received but once I applied it to my skin, it went limp. It didn’t smell sweet or boozy but after about 30 minutes it all came back and this smells REALLY REALLY NICE I must admit. Idk if I can deem this full bottle worthy but it’s REALLY NICE! I love it. Try on skin not test strip.

Some fragrances when I wear people say: you are wearing this or that. Other fragrances when I wear people say: YOU smell good. And this is what Enigma is. You are not wearing Enigma, the perfume that smells good…it becomes YOU who smell good. It become a part of you.
I don’t know why every time I remember how Enigma smells, Gold comes to my mind.

  28. :

    5 out of 5

My opinion of Enigma,….. STUNNING and it did something quite funny with its initial introduction. When I first sprayed it, I had a very fleeting memory of something, but WHAT ‘something’? The second spray did it too but this time it reveled a ‘rough idea’ of WHEN I had smelt this (which was in my teens years) but still not knowing what it was.
On its fourth spray, it finally came to me! Sarsparilla or cola!! The fizzy drink! The reviewer below also picked ‘cola’ as a note. Now I just compared another cola perfume, Outremer Cola but the Enigma wins out with the cozy bass notes which the other doesn’t have. (Thank God as the prices just don’t compare. The Enigma is 10 x the price)
I love how scents can conjure up memories of certain things, places, times and of course, certain people.
Someone here compared it to Casmir but the only thing they have in common is the vanilla note! Enigma, in my opinion, is much better than Casmir.
Very UNISEX, I’m female, and really enjoy Enigma Pour Homme and I vow to find the female version of Enigma too!
**Anyone who has it is welcome to contact me! Love to buy a sample!

Fragrance -Enigma Pour Homme Roja Dove
    Bottle from – 2016
    Enigma,in my opinion,is one of the best,if not the best,Roja fragrance.It’s a beautiful,boozy,spicy,tobacco-vanilla scent.And yes,Enigma has a mysterious smell to me,a little bit of refined coca cola vibe,and i like him.
    Longevity – 8/10(8+hours)
Silage/Projection – 8/10(nice projection and silage for the first 2-3 hours)
    Weather – best in spring,autumn,winter
    Age – 24+
    Compliments – 8/10
    Scent – 9/10
Main notes according to me – vanilla, tobacco, cognac, benzoin, ginger.
The drydown is nice and i get some sweetness, vanilla and tobacco.
    Emotions -mysterious,sophisticated,unanswered questions.
Occasion -perfect for more or less any ocasion and any time of year.I personally wouldn’t wear this in really hot summer days.
You’ll get compliments with this one.Could be a nice signature scent.

    (parfum concentration)
Nicely done cognac, tobacco, and vanilla. It does smell a bit like either cream soda or Coca-Cola in the opening.
Longevity is excellent, probably around 6 – 8 hours on skin. Probably a week long on clothing.
Both concentrations seem to smell the same with the EDP being lighter; the Parfum being thick can be cloying if sprayed more than once.

This is absolutely beautiful, wasn’t sure with the intial spray but BANG!!! hit with a boozy vanilla with tobacco, sweet and warm, I think this would be perfect for early autumn, maybe too much in the summer sun!!…………8/10

This is a strange one for me – on one side, this is boozy and heavy, but on the other this reminds me of the rum and coke of the Caribbean. Thus, I feel like wearing this on summer, on a hot day, for this fits that mood well. Beach, recovering from a hangover that was on night before, under the shade with large sunglasses on.
Performance is there, longevity is there, composition is there, pillage seems good enough. Yep, one of the nicer ones for me from the range.

Hennessy and Coke of the fragrance game? Safe to say so. Tried this for the first time today. And I like it. Do I love it? Not sure yet. Waiting for some good weather to give it a full wearing but with some hot summer weather hitting us, I might be waiting for a while. Initial impression is that I am slightly disappointed. Longevity and projection are not quite up to par to me for a fragrance of this quality. Will follow up after a full wearing.

Thought I’d give this a try, seeing all the positive reviews on it, so I ordered me a 5 ml sample off of Ebay.
On initial impression, I do understand why this stuff is so expensive. It is very unique and very well made. I personally wouldn’t spend full retail on this, but it is very nice. I do get a hint of that cola vibe in the opening that everyone always talks about. The florals in here can be a little feminine to some people but I personally feel it gives a nice balance to the overall scent and keeps it from becoming too harsh. Think the iris note in Chergui. I understand there is an Enigma for women, but I can definitely see a woman pulling this off.

Fetish was my first purchase from Roja, which i love. However, this may have now taken the gold medal. own both the parfum and edp.
with some Roja parfum’s, i find the sillage to be less obvious in the parfums, however with Enigma both edp and parfum have excellent sillage. if you can afford, opt for parfum version

    4 out of 5

I sampled this recently while I was on vacation in Europe and instantly knew I had to get a full bottle. Ordered one as soon as I got home (I wasn’t about to pay €480 for a bottle). I’m a little obsessed with this stuff.
As people have said, the opening does smell like cola, but it isn’t cheap, artificial cola, it’s like some organic, DIY, artisional, farmer’s market cola. Like something some dude wearing hipster glasses named Caleb would sell out of a food truck. You can pick out each individual note.
The drydown is what makes it so special, though. Basically every house that makes male fragrances makes a tobacco scent. You have Herod, Tobacco Vanille, Pure Havanne, etc., etc., and for the most part, they all smell reasonably similar. There are differences, of course, but for the most part, you get very rich tobacco with some spiciness, usually some vanilla or incense, maybe some pepper, some patchouli, if you’ve smelled a tobacco frag, you know what I mean. Enigma has a lot of those classic tobacco frag notes, yet manages to smell absolutely nothing like your standard tobacco scent. It’s rich, creamy, boozy vanilla tempered with a bit of spice, slight tartness, and a hint of peppery bitterness. It’s like nothing I’ve ever smelled.
The blending and composition of this fragrance is simply masterful. There is nothing else out there quite like it. It is, very simply, one of the best things I’ve ever smelled. Performance is also quite good, I got the EDP rather than the straight Parfum, and it still lasts around 8 hours on my skin. Projecting is strong, but subtle. People will smell you, but you won’t be choking them. The one big issue with this frag, of course, is the cost. Roja is not cheap. Personally, I feel it’s worth it, but that’s a very subjective thing. The EDP is somewhat more cost-effective and performs more than well enough.
This one is an easy 10/10 for me, even taking into account the price.

Info from the Roja Dove Website
“The mystery of the name drove me to create a fragrance that seems to be all things to all people, but itself is certain and assured, whilst creating ambiguity in others.” – Roja Dove.
    Enigma Olfactory Description
Bergamot, Geranium, and Neroli are blended with lively Pepper, Ginger, and Cardamom, to create a bright, fresh contrast to a rich, sensual base of Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Benzoin, and Ambergris, which underscore a highly distinctive blend of Tobacco and Cognac, enriched with Rose, Jasmine, and Heliotrope.
    Cost
This is the second most expensive frag I have tried. Serge Lutens L’Incendiare is a whopping $600 for a 50ml bottle. I find that absolutely ridiculous. Somehow the $466 for a straight parfum and the EDP at $305 for 50ml does not seem so bad for Enigma.
I tried a small swipe of the sprayer straw yesterday and doing a full wear today. (I got a 2.5ml sample).
Several people say this smells like Cola especially in the opening and it sure does. In fact both my mom and my wife yesterday gave it a smell from separate rooms. They both said it was citrusy and when I asked about cola they both said OMG it does smell like cola. My wife said it somehow smells fizzy even. I get a straight up coke smell and its amazing. It really does smell like a freshly poured cola and it gives you a fizzy impression.
It is a very boozy tobacco and vanilla smell with some spice that I think is the ginger and pepper giving it that cola vibe. It smells complex and simple at the same time.
I have not worn it long enough to know how it performs but I have heard it lasts forever and projects well. It is very unique.
Even if it were cheap I would not wear it everyday. At this cost… I would strongly consider getting a bottle to wear a few times a year. Man its good! He also sells a 7.5ml for $50

  38. :

    3 out of 5

I’ll keep it simple: Opens up with Coca-Cola (a luxury version), dries down to a vanilla Dr. Pepper. This scent is truly amazing, it’s a lot more complex than I can say, but there’s a lot of tobacco, vanilla (way different than TV and not as sweet), booze and soda!
    Highly recommended.

After wearing this wonderful wonderful scent consistently for few days I feel now that I can give it a proper review. I would start by saying this is the best (and I weigh my words carefully when I say “the best”) boozy, gourmand fragrance I have ever experienced so far (and I am not new to fragrances). The notes are just perfectly balanced and they evolve in a constant interplay similar to a perfect symphony. Right from the opening you are welcomed with a glass of fine cognac served in an classy oak room partially filled with a spicy tobacco smoke. The tobacco notes are not overwhelming, in fact they are enough perceptible and complemented by a sweet vanillic ginger.
Some of us even sense notes reminiscent of a fresh cola drink, and this is true, but the scent is not tacky it is just a fizz to surprise your nostrils. This is a delicious fragrance that never dulls down into plain vanilla. After few hours, Enigma shifts into a vanilla creamy texture backed by the wonderful patchouli and fantastic benzoin notes and makes one want to come back and sniff it every few minutes.
This could be easily be a signature scent if it wasn’t for the price, which alas by now is a Roja Dove big minus point. Even at this price point I will strongly encourage you to acquire a bottle if you like boozy and gourmand fragrances. Despite its sweet boozy texture, this fragrance can be worn in many settings: from fun nights out to business meetings alike. You can wear it in the summer casually dressed strolling on the beach as well as in the winter attending an opera show. Very versatile and very wearable.
    In short:
    Scent: 10/10
Longevity: 10/10 (I wish it would last for weeks!)
    Sillage: 10/10
This is on my top 5 frags list.

This is my actual favourite perfume of all time. As everyone says it opens up smelling like Cola. At a nearby grocery store when i open the lid to the Cola Candy pick-n-mix the smell is very similar. This lasts about 1-5 minutes and it gently transitions into a smell which is very hard to describe as its very unique. Some say that this smells like Tobacco Vanille but i have to disagree. Firstly the tobacco and vanille notes are much gentler in this and its also so well integrated into the other smells that these nuances are harder to pick out. My experience of this perfume is different layers revealing themselves in gusts. Sometimes i get the rum, sometimes the tobacco, vanille, ginger and something spicy. I keep smelling my wrist like a perfume addict when i wear this. Constantly discovering new subtleties. Is it pricy? Yes very much so. This is more of a experience though. Its like saying: “is it better to go to a fancy restaurant when you can go to a nudle stand and get awesome tasting food for basically nothing?”. Well its all subjective and its all in the experience. The smell is very easy and not offensive in any way. The perfume is unisex with a slight lean towards masculine.
    Smell: 10/10
    Longevity: 9/10
    Projection: 6/10

It’s scent is excellent and very overpriced but I love it yet.
If you haven’t problem with it’s money it is number one in the Tobacco-boozy scent group.

My favorite of the standard men’s line, standing above Fetish. In this case, I like the notes that pop out of the base that leaves me with a rootbeer-like note. This fragrance to me is more sensual than Fetish and more likely to draw in the curious rather than project boldness to a crowd. With this in mind, I find that Enigma can be worn in more occasions and is more universal in application. As with many others, the longevity and sillage is great and I find that many of the characteristics last past the dry down and throughout the wear period.

  44. :

    3 out of 5

This is nothing like Tobacco Vanille folks. Its a powdery old school type of scent that does not warrant the price it asks for. I love the opening though, I wish it could stay like that forever.

A really nice powdery scent but the price asked for it is just ridiculous to be fair. I have smelled much better frags for a hell of a lot less money.

Fetish, Enigma, and Reckless are my top 3 Rojas’s Pour Hommes (although I like Puredistance M better than Fetish).
Enigma smells very good, but it’s still too expensive (except back when you can get the 100ml for the same price), and “Creation-E” is kind of a ridiculous (and pretentious) name.. I advise getting it somewhere outside of U.S.

Starts with a bracing pepper, ginger and a touch of boozy vanilla. At 1st I was almost turned off but there was just enough vanillic sweetness to keep me in and the (slight) booze made things interesting and addicting.
I like hyper-octane sweet so there being just enough for me at the opening can likely pass off as really sweet for many others.
There is a very regal smooth boozy syrup accord that just about peaks through the initial burst of pepper and amazing transparent citrus (bergamot-like).
I’m glad I stayed becasue E pour Homme is I think somewhat of a scent revelation, taking what could have easily been another project completely thrown away but by intent or fluke, has produced a classic!
And it has been kept pretty minimal, with pun intended because it really is very pretty!
They could have added any of the usual suspects in there; saffron, mandarin, civet or the increasingly concerning spreading cloves but they added neroli up top – and left it.
Intentionally unfinished or not, it allows the scent to really take off; now it become a sort of gourmand-gingery fresh oriental instead of another heavier weird ‘Orangeyental’.
The main ‘Crowd pulling’ theme, again intended or not is not cherry or an extravagant rose – but Coca cola.
By some odd magic, what listed as black pepper and neroli in the opening somehow bears very close resemblance to those semi-fizzy sugar coated cola bottles! And it’s amazing.
It’s much better than Versace’s popular dreamer, no, incomparably better than that horror.
So Enigma defies the ‘usual’ vanilla-tobacco theme by inventing the ‘Cola-tobacco’ scent, than the usual cherry tobacco.
Even at this price. The realistic and highly addictive Cola vibe is the main draw here for those after something ‘cool’ and those that are after a variation of TV get their fix here too.
So the top does seem unfinished when making a 1st spray but I’ll definitely take the odd fizzy-sugar cola effect over what may have easily been a disaster at £225 for the 100ml EDP bottle!
It has sweetish, unlit tobacco, slightly spiced and some refined booze really mixes really well with that ‘cola fruity’ theme.
Also, maybe Roja really is a master of blending after all; becuae if there really is a lot of ginger in here he has hidden what can be a strongly prickly note into an amazing sweetened candy-like refresher bar with the vanilla.
The hyper-Quality grade of the notes means this is 1 Neroli top that gets away from me with it clean. It lends the scent the ability to be ‘that reach for’ designer but with true Niche products.
Then, as the boozy vanilla rolls in the scent morphs into the ‘1 fits all’ tool. Casual jeans n’ flat pumps, dressed up or down, suit/tie, Office or a club, this does it all with a gold hand of assurance – it’s really like a Regal figure going to the club; fantastic!
It is just balanced so well and all the ingredients are bold and rounded out smooth, yet totally safe but on occasion downright blissfully sinful excess.
It’s more like slightly peppered lime-cola up top but in all honesty, it has to be tried on, it pretty much too good for words, however hard I’m trying or failing(!)
So, the fresh top is then all smothered over by lovely waves of the mentioned creamy, Ambrosial vanilla that even peak at the top but steadily grows thicker within the
