either my nose is going or my fragrance is; on initial wearing of my new bottle, this smells like violets and iris to me, powdery, with a little sharpness of orchid. I will have to go fragranceless for a few days in case of olfactory fatigue and try again

ATTN: This review is for Radiant, not yet cataloged. It has purple flowers on bottle and smells slightly like Alien with some effervesence.

ATTN:This review is for Ellen Tracy Confident, not yet cataloged. It’s a bracing, masculine lemon with maybe some lily of the valley. At least that’s what I get. Sort of like a dollar store dupe of Light Blue. I hope to help out those making blind purchases. I hope others do so with the others in this line coming out to the discount stores.
Update: Ellen Tracy Courageous (not yet catalogued) seems like an average, simple floral, from what I could get from squeezing the box set.

Wore this for the first time today, and am truly surprised! ; Elegant’ is my first impression. It’s deep, rose filled, woody, and the oakmoss gives it a vibe I cannot describe – but I attribute it because I’ve noticed it in other perfumes I’ve enjoyed wearing over the years. At this price I could literally bathe in this juice! Do not let the low price fool you into thinking this is not top quality. Very classy and understated, which I like!

What a surprise. I blind bought this one at marshalls for $7.99 and did not expect much .
Well, his fragrance smells delicious. It’s somehow sharp, but it has some warm undertone. I smell literally champaigne. So refined and delicious! Safe and elegant, you can wear this anytime without getting too noticed. A keeper, for sure

I’m not sure I personally like this fragrance, but my mother complimented me on this, and she NEVER compliments perfume. She’s afraid the perfume would probably upset her sinuses, but if there’s a matching lotion set I might get that for her for her birthday or something (a bit too late now for Christmas). As for me, I think I might regift this. Too sweet-fruity-powdery-floral-something in the beginning (the peach, perhaps?) and too soapy later on. I’m holding out for the sandalwood later on though, I love sandalwood.
Update: I ADORE the drydown. Sweet, cozy, and a bit fruity in a way that doesn’t bother me (must be the raspberry). The question is, is it worth putting up with the nice-but-not-really-me opening and the weird soapy clean nothingness I encountered later on? Only time will tell, but after 13 hours of wearing this, I can’t stop smelling my wrist. I’ll have to give this another chance, or rather, many more chances.

I just got this today. I can say is it’s the ultimate fragrance. It’s unique and fabulous. Soft and ambery with a sweetness and musk. I cant believe I got this for less than 10 dollars on eBay. Out of all my perfume this is my favorite bottle. It’s classy. So wonderful to have this gem of a perfume. I don’t have any family or a boyfriend at the time so I indulge myself and treat myself to 2 perfumes a month. This purchase by far is my favorite. It is so dreamy and romantic. It actually made me cry. I think it reminds me of a perfume called Cashmere and that perfume brings back alot of memories. This is magic in a bottle. To anyone that reads this Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I almost like this perfume( I like the woody, fruity aspect) but as Sparkly Unicorn also stated, there’s some undertone that I dont like; its sandalwood perhaps. Musk is not listed but I smell something in the drydown close to Jovan Musk…and that + sandalwood make this a ” no” for me, sadly. Its too heavy. It definitely reminds me of something Ive smelled before probably one of the Celine Dions. I really like Ellen Tracy Tracy and Ellen Tracy Bronze. I have a mini if anybody wants it, send me a message.

Another truly beautiful classic whose reformulation has taken a nosedive into the ordinary. A big yawn from those of us who have ever enjoyed the original. This frustrates me! Fortunately, after I recently exhausted my original bottle dated in the early 90’s, I spotted a bottle of the original for sale on eBay and snagged it for a decent price – in fact, the buyer mentioned to me after the sale that she had accidentally mispriced it but wished me well anyway. Nice lady! Silly me though, I did invest in a bottle of the current version before scoring the original, assuming it would still at least resemble the original. Wrrrroonng!
Plain and simple, today’s ET has been watered down terribly and is an assault to my sensibilities. The lovely blend of the plum, peach, cinnamon, and cedar with the florals has been diluted considerably. It’s always been my traditional autumn scent, reminding me of those walks through the rustling leaves, enjoying autumn’s smoky scent, the vibrance of oranges, golds, and reds. The richness is lacking and uncommitted and dammit, the honey is gone and the woodsiness is gone! The poor, tweaked creature remaining is a shallow shadow of its original self. A plucked chicken comes to mind. It’s disgusting, it’s unfair. You can’t fool all of us, Ellen! No, I’m not going into a ranting diatribe and point the Finger of Shame at Ellen Tracy, although if it would do any good I would. And no, I’m not going to nitpick every single note and do a lengthy, verbose sermonette to impress everyone until the readers do respective eyeball rolls and become bored to pieces (wondering WTH they just read and then why they bothered). I will conclude by saying “Shame on you, Ellen Tracy!” Boo and hiss!

I was standing in a long line at my local Burlington Coat Factory and I noticed there were fragrances! Well before the holiday shopper crowds arrive on Black Friday I thought I would buy some fragrances that might not be there by the end of this month! I saw many celebrity fragrances like Queen Latifah Queen and Queen of Hearts and Paris Hilton frags none of which interested me. I’m not real big on celeb scents. They had some fragrances I already have and adore such as L’air du Temps and White Shoulders. Then my eye caught sight of Ellen Tracy and I was intrigued. I’d never worn any fragrance from this line. It’s my first from Ellen Tracy.
What a beautiful perfume. This opens with fruity notes of apricot and peach, citrus such as lemon and orange and even cinnamon. So the opening is similar to sweet fruity hair shampoo which I like. Very sweet and feminine and fruity summery. The freshness of florals begin to emerge with distinctive hyacinth and orchid lily of the valley carnation jasmine and rose. This is a big floral. Big. It’s almost as big as Beautiful Estee Lauder. The iris or orris plus the aldehyde content gives this fragrance a clean soapy body. The flowers are so lovely. Smells like a luxurious bar of flowery soap. The color would be pink or beige. The prominent floral notes are definitely tuberose and rose with a trail of orchid and iris. If you’re big on florals you’ll love this.
When the flower trail ends the scent becomes green and mossy. There’s also woodsy notes. The sandalwood is quite pronounced and the amber. These notes give it a green clean soapy aroma but it’s long lasting and very smooth. This perfume reminds me of a vintage but I can’t quite put my finger on it. It has something in common with frags like Ivoire de Balmain though I find that one to be more earthy and not as floral as this one. They share similar notes including galbanum. There’s a radiance and bright cheerful quality to this perfume. I believe that without those fruity top notes this would be a dull or old lady floral powder. Instead it has a youthful and modern quality and passes for a vintage vibe fruity floral. Easy to wear and love. Good for after a shower or bath. It has great sillage and longevity and is wearable as an every day office friendly work place perfume. It’s suited to spring and summer and matches up with casual wear sundresses and blouse-skirt ensembles. Feminine to the bone.
A very lovely perfume and I couldn’t resist. I had to blind buy it because at a store such as Burlington Coat Factory one doesn’t have the luxury of testing the fragrance and trying it before deciding whether or not to buy it like at Macy’s or a perfume shop like Chanel Guerlain etc. I took out my cell phone and used the Wi fi in the store to go on Fragrantica and look at the notes to this perfume. Having experienced and enjoyed floral perfumes plus aldehydes and greens I was certain I’d love it. And I did. Not bad at all. I’ll have to check out more from the house of Ellen Tracy!

smells very simliar to Celine Dion’s -Celine Dion. Lovely woody floral, powdery , with coca cola spicey notes. Great lasting power and price.

Ellen Tracy Ellen Tracy is one of the softest, safest and prettiest scents that I’ve ever smelled. To my nose, it seems deliberately engineered for refinement and delicacy.
I bought my 3.4 EDP for less than $15 USD so this isn’t for those who must spend tons of money on a perfume to be able to enjoy it.
The quality irrefutably belies the very modest price-tag.
I get mostly soft, powdery woods with a soft sillage and decent longevity.
Safe to wear in occasions where you’re unsure about wearing any fragrance, this one would be a fantastic option. Ellen Tracy Ellen Tracy is perfect to grab when you have a hard time deciding which fragrance to choose for the day, too; it doesn’t require a lot of thought, and I find that a positive trait.
    Overall: 8/10
I gave this to my mother because she literally never buys anything for herself (but trust and believe that I also kept a 3ml decant for myself).

I just bought this one…y’all I want to love it but there is a scent that lingers at the end that does not seem to be something I enjoy. I think it’s the powderiness…not sure. I don’t think I enjoy powdery perfumes and this is why I don’t think I am digging this one. I will be giving it a fair shot, and will try again. I will update my review soon!
Update: Yup, this one was not for me 🙁 I returned it for store credit lol…not to mention the bottle was leaking and was making a mess. I could not stand that cloying, strange powderiness. I don’t enjoy those types of scents. Reminded me a bit of the things in Angel by TM that I don’t like. I just wanted it off me asap!

i am someone who usually where sugar sweet celeb perfumes that a lot of people seem to love and hate. this is different from what i normally where. Im not sure what ‘woody’ notes smell like so i dont know what to look for but i do love this perfume very much. it smells like a very expensive fresh lotion to me.

This reminds me of something my favorite Uncle wore back in the 70’s. It had to be something from Avon because my Aunt sold Avon, and he had the whole decorator bottles of just about every scent Avon made for men back in that decade. This is a very comforting scent for me…He passed away 10 years ago and I still miss him terribly.
So to the review. This is an earthy, spicy but warm scent on my skin. I get the same cola, soapy vibe that others have mentioned. To me this leans more masculine than what I normally wear, but completely wearable for both women and men. It’s classy and cozy. It’s great in the fall when your not ready for heavy scents yet, but still want something warming.
    I really like this.

i bought this on ebay recently-and i love it-the woody notes with tuberose and jasmine-i really enjoy white florals-and this one hits just at the right spot-it is floral without being sweet-woody without being dark and heavy…the perfect balance for a daytime scent….
this is work/church appropriate-but you can wear it dressed up without a second’s hesitation…i get hints of citrus-but not much cinnamon, or cedar for that matter…the fruits are very well blended-and i have a hard time distinguishing them.
i sprayed 4 sprays and it lasted 6-7 hours, becoming a skin scent after that-even of it didn’ last that long-for the money-i would still buy it and respray without a bit of guilt..
**note-i decided to buy this after i tried a perfume oil of it from a company in the united states-it was spot on perfect. i made a perfume lotion out of it by mixing it with eucerin-and i use that as a base before i spray the perfume on-it is wonderful! (as i am unsure if i am able to give out the name of the company-if you want info on it-just pm me!)

Very nice, elegant, classy fragrance. It’s not overpowering and seems well blended. It’s not exactly my cup of tea, but I would recommend it. I’m surprised how inexpensive Ellen Tracy is!!! The quality of this perfume is top-shelf.

I love this! It is simply perfect! I sense The Body Shop style musk, but then something happens and more notes start revealing themselves. It is soft, soapy, musky. Yum!

This has become one of my absolute favourites!!!! I’m reaching for it every day since I bought it! It is just so easy to wear and even after 6 hours I am still catching a bit of it, perhaps closer to the skin, but really wonderful!

ELLEN TRACY is a very pretty, wear-it-anywhere type of fragrance that can be dressed up or down. I find it to be very smooth and it’s difficult for me to pick out individual notes, but the sandalwood does become more noticeable after a few hours. As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a clean fragrance with something of a soapy vibe to it, but it’s a pleasant soapiness that isn’t sharp or irritating. On me, sillage is on the softer side and longevity is good. This isn’t sweet, fruity, or overtly floral. There’s no vanilla or patchouli. It may not be ground-breaking or edgy, but not everything has to be.
This is one of the bottles that’s at the front of the shelf because I often reach for it when I don’t want to spend a lot of time thinking about which perfume to wear. ELLEN TRACY is like that basic pair of black pants that you can build an outfit around and it always works.

This was a blind buy and I accidentally ordered two big bottles instead of one. I decided it give it a try before I returned the extra bottle and I’m keeping both. This is very well done and worthy of keeping a backup.
This is not “old-lady” but it is adult. I mean that in the best way possible. It’s not trendy or sweet. This fragrance says, “Yes, I know how a refined, high-quality perfume smells.” It’s about takin’ care of business and smelling great while doing it.
While it smells wonderful, it’s not overpowering or trying to steal the spotlight. That spotlight is for you dahling!

This fragrance definitely gets better as it wears and mellows. The initial spritz hinted at being head-achey but it transformed into something very pleasant. Stronger than my everyday perfume (Marchesa Parfum D’extase) so I’d advise a light hand. Evokes pink, purple, and gold. Reminds me of lush products. I got a big bottle though, and probably won’t repurchase if it ever runs out.
I am not a fan of the bottle. Half the joy in perfumes for me is the lovely glass bottles, but this is clunky and kind of pointy, with a cheap plastic lid.
EDIT: i changed my mind. This one quickly becomes unbearable.

Ellen Tracy is just like your best gal friend. Reliable, friendly and always ‘there’ when u need her. The opening is bright, take charge and awakens with balanced fruits. The lime, lemon, plum and peach all ‘curtsy’ together and lead you to the inner room where there are comfy sofas and a relaxed but elegant feeling. The dry down is a bit fresh and clean but stays properly balanced between the musk and sandalwood. This one never disapoints and does noy leave you feeling $robbed. Just like a good friend.

After all the lovely reviews, I picked it up. I have Bronze and love it – so I thought: why not? Alas, it looks as though I just cannot wear anything that has musk in it. I sprayed it on a piece of tp first, since that is what I had handy, and hated it. Musk overload. But I decided to be brave and try it on my skin. The opening was so pretty. Soft and peachy fruity, and dusty sandalwood was there with some pretty florals. And then the musk showed up and totally ruined the party. Apparently my skin amplifies musk. That’s all I could smell. It’s awful on me. Like a bad bottle of Babe. Bet it’s pretty on someone else!

Oh gosh! How to start? From the opening to drying down, this scent is a pure delight. It’s a very non offensive scent. Can wear it anywhere, anytime. It’s fresh, it’s clean, it’s warm, it’s feminine, sophisticated, and romantic. It’s everything bottled up into one perfect scent. I think it’s a VERY under rated scent. I think it can compete with the best. Very timeless!

I have decided that Ellen Tracy is one of my wear to work fragrances. I love it enough for it to me with me all day. It’s sweetly uplifting, sophisticated, clean and soapy, sunshiney, and not over the top in your face in any way. It’s sort of an addictive smell- my nose interpreted as lemony-soapy at first, but after wearing it a few more times and getting to know it better, I think it’s just an overall impression that I’m getting from cinnamon, peach, and galbanum or the green notes.
My son smelled it and said, ” mmmm, smells like soap!” Confirming my thoughts about it being a clean, freshly showered smell, but to me, it’s so much more.
I love the spice, earthiness, woods, and soft warmth in the dry down. Longetivity very good, 5-6 hrs.
    P. S. I totally get the Coca Cola impression- I get it too about 5 minutes in, sometimes, but it doesn’t make me dislike it…:) in fact, mine is definitely Coke with a lemon squeeze.

You know what Ellen Tracy is? Rochas Femme Lite. Rochas Femme, but workplace-appropriate. I get a lovely lightly-spiced fruity and woody scent, more sophisticated than overtly sexy the way that Femme is, and a bit more modern. I’d eyeballed Ellen Tracy fragrances at T.J. Maxx several times, but always wound up taking home something else, but this time, there wasn’t anything else (this particular store had a piss-poor perfume section) and I’m so glad (I picked up Bronze as well). It costs next to nothing, so if you see it, it’s more than worth grabbing. It’s not the strongest nor the longest lasting (though it does beat out the much pricier D&G Pour Femme in that arena), but no one will ever believe the pricetag. A lovely all-purpose perfume on the down-and-dirty cheap.

Was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I do. Got it in a blind swap and figured what the heck, but I actually love this scent. It’s a great cold weather scent because of fresh spicy element, but is very day-to-evening–you won’t overwhelm people at the office with this, but it still rocks for a night out. Very warm, sweet and low key glamorous. Almost a cheapie version of My Burberry or Chanel Beige, at least that’s how it reads on me. Def smells more expensive than it is.

    This is my second review.
I’ve just discovered a fun layering experiment that went so successfully this week that I must share it with all my fellow Ellen Tracy lovers.
Avon’s Imari Seduction shares several notes in common with Ellen Tracy: Plum, Orchid, Amber. I really like how they smell combined. Wore the mix 4 times since Tuesday and really made a wonderful statement. If you try this, don’t wear it in Thousand Isands NY area because it’s my secret up here ok?

  32. :

Sadly enough I get ZERO sandalwood and ALL hyacinth which is the worst case scenario for me with this perfume since hyacinth gives me headaches. My skin amplifies the hyacinth note like crazy as if this was a soliflore. Oh well.

This was a blind buy and I am happy 🙂 I am wearing it for the first time today. The first spray made me very nostalgic. I can’t place it but definitely a ‘familiar’ smell, likely something to do with children (maybe a shampoo I used on my children years ago? Or similar to the batch of cinnamon play-doh I made with my daughter once before?) I would say this is a light, feminine scent. I get hints of cinnamon, very slight floral and “clean” soap type scent. This sits close to the skin, so it is great for easy going situations. Highly recommend 🙂
EDIT: This smells exactly like a Lush brand bath bomb I have used in the past. I can’t remember which one but definitely exact same scent!

Do you like fragrances that take you on a ride? Do like scavenger hunts? Do like to read thrilling novels? Do you like to sit and watch the sun come up? Do you like feeling feminine and confident? Do you like longevity, quality AND low prices?
Well it’s time to scrape together $8 and own Ellen Tracy’s “Ellen Tracy”!
Every time I wear this, I detect something else! This is such a fun experience! I’m constantly asking myself “oh what’s that over there?” And “Did I see something there behind that flower?” And “I wonder what will happen next…” Ellen Tracy is *very* interesting. It engages my senses and my imagination!
I’m a huge fan of fragrances that have nuance. I love to wear anything that gives new impressions every five minutes. I also appreciate when a perfume house (no matter how big or small) shows care to the blending. I respect any scent that strives for harmony in the ingredients.
This is not a masterpiece, not a classic. But the construction offers the same level of interest as any award winning fragrance. What I mean is, Ellen Tracy provides a fulfilling *experience* to the wearer. Ellen Tracy is fun for the nose to unravel. I really like paying attention to the phases of this fragrance as it dries down.
I get more than 12 hours wear and I only paid $8 at TJMaxx. (Plus, I suppose I should mention it smells great on me! Tons of compliments!)
Every time I see any fragrance made by this label, I buy it. I must have at least 16 bottles of various Ellen Tracy scents. I find each to long lasting and great for everyday use. As with many of the other fragrances from Ellen Tracy, I adore the base the most.

WOW! My first review here. I purchased this blind buy based on reviews and notes here being similar to one of the types of fragrances that I like (I have 80+ bottles) and I am NOT sorry at all! I always spray first on paper and every inch I am smelling now has a different scent. I have been bombarded in a good way! Happy Purchase here! I don’t know what I would do without Fragrantica! I am pretty much a good judge, my skin doesn’t do funny things so what I smell on paper is what I get.

Just tested this at CVS. It’s very pretty (extremely light though) I have to have my nose pressed against my skin to even smell it. Something about it reminds me a bit of Jennifer Aniston’s Lolavie. I get very faint floral notes and just a hint of powder. I really love it, but it’s so weak. I don’t know if the $15 gift set is worth it. (3.4 oz with shower gel and matching lotion)Bagain price. I want it, but do I really need it?

I have been following the reviews on this frag for a while now and have been hesitant because of the long list of notes. For some reason long note lists scare me. Lol But the top notes according to reviewers looked perfect to me. I love peach, sandalwood, cedar and musk so I thought what the heck and bought it at marshalls for $8. I sprayed it on as soon as I got out of the store and it’s nothing like I expected. Its very strong to me and all woody. Everyone keeps talking about peach and I’m so disappointed I can’t smell it or any fruits for that matter. Lots and lots of sandalwood. I keep trying it because there is something that keeps pulling me back in. I have to say longevity is amazing though! I put 2 sprays on before with and still smell it 8 hours later.
If you’re on the fence about it I say try it. Its so cheap so it can’t hurt! 🙂

This is what you would wear to an interview or a sophisticated date. It reminds me of a woman wearing a business suit…hair up in a bun and glasses…but…this woman is sexy and classy too. Like a Victoria Secret model wearing a suit fit for a CEO. Heavy sandalwood, so go lightly upon application. Not an everyday scent, but wouldn’t kick it out of bed for eatin’ crackers! 🙂

It is my second bottle of this fragrance and I’m sure I’ll buy it again. Love the scent from the top notes to the base. It is very elegant and sophisticated, not a “girly” fragrance. It is appropriate to office and to evening out as well, could be worn with suite and with summer dress. And always makes me happy.

One of the most overlooked sandalwood frags out there! I picked this up at a great deal and for all that it offers you can’t beat it. All of the “Main Notes According To Your Votes” fits to a “T”, which is how I arrived at choosing this alluring gem on a blind buy, couldn’t be more happier! Thank you, fellow Fragranticans!

I purchased a boxed set at TJ Maxx for a great deal. My first impression of this fragrance is of Coca Cola but dried down to a lovely scent. I also purchased a boxed set of Ellen Tracy Bronze. I prefer Bronze since it lacked that initial cola smell.

  48. :

    3 out of 5

Ok, I really like this. Upon first sniff, I was afraid I would not. Believe it or not the note I smell that is stronger than the peach is the orris root! This is a frag that you can’t overuse, though. Spray lightly. I 100% agree with the previous review that this is not so much a perfume scent, but a skin scent. I see this frag as an extension of my natural fragrance. No one would automatically think it was a perfume, they would just think it was you!

  49. :

I luved it when I first sniffed it… bought it right away… realized later a synthetic note in it is irritating me… I think the woody note didn’t gel with me… So, I gave it away 🙁

In general, I like this fragrance. It reminds me very strongly of David Yurman’s Exotic Essence, which makes sense, as they both share dominant notes of peach, sandalwood, and musk. This perfume is comforting and pleasant, and it’s good for easy wearing. I like to wear it when I’m not in the mood to make a statement, but still want to smell sweet and feminine. At first, I smell the syrupy-sweet peach a lot, as well as the sandalwood. Together, they make a kind of fruity vanilla impression. As the fragrance winds down, I get a lot more of the musk.

This seriously smells like Coca cola on my skin, with notes of cinnamon, sweet fruits and citrus… It’s not very natural smelling in my opinion but I wouldn’t say it’s a bad smell. Also the longevity is really good.
Lovers of complex scents should try this.

I cannot wear this. I bought a few years ago based on notes alone but this is very chemical and sneeze inducing on me with no real transition between the notes very linear and headache inducing uncomfortable feeling without being strong at all somehow. It is very similar in some aspects to Arden’s 5th Avenue after 5 which I like much better.

Sadly this scent has something in it that aggravates my allergies, and I noticed a lot of people sneezing around me today, which could be coincidence, but maybe not. It doesn’t smell bad, but there’s nothing special about it either. On me, it’s got a generic soapy smell that just doesn’t thrill me. Inoffensive but not for me.

Ellen by Ellen Tracy has a soapy yet sweet sophistication about it. Clean musk and sandalwood have a calming and mature presence. When I say mature I’m not talking so much about age as I am about the way a woman carries herself, to have an air of maturity about her. A sweet ripe peach and a lush young rose keep this fragrance very feminine as you get more of the woody cedar and powdery-sweet osmanthus in the dry down. I get a hint of orris root and can definitely detect the plum and cinnamon in the dry down. This is a beautiful fragrance, I think it’s very classy and office appropriate. Decently priced and I would highly recommend Ellen by Ellen Tracy! Love it!

I bought this one years ago and really liked it. I assume I used the whole bottle as I don’t recall what happened to it. I ran into the fragrance at TJ’s for cheap so I grabbed it and remembered why I liked it. Very simple, stylish, affordable and fresh. Definitely a nice one to add to your collection if your ok with something that is not hugely overpowering or overly interesting. Not that Ellen is boring however it’s not Flowerbomb! I am glad I found this again.

This by far the best perfume I’ve ever smelled! So sophisticated and elegant, youcan wear this everyday at anytime. It smells very similar to Chanel #22 at a much affordable price. It’s soft sexy and last a long time. I hope this perfume is never discontinued. I could bath in this stuff! It’s what a perfume should be. Not bubble gum overly sweet cotton candy type scents of today that when they dry down all but dissapear. I get allot of compliments on Ellen Tracy perfume and will never get tierd of this absolutly beautiful well balanced scent. Mmmmm heavenly!

Ellen Tracy is quite a creamy, clean scent. I am glad to have tried this, as I find it rather comforting and suitable for casual wear.
It meshes well with my chemistry, and at certain stages in the composition it can be very soft, almost like a skinscent. Sandalwood, peach, aldehydes, lily of the valley, musk and galbanum appear to be the most dominant accords to my nose.
The opening blend of peach and aldehydes is quite fresh and sparkling, however as the fragrance continues to develop it becomes smoother and creamier, with lots of sandalwood, white floral notes and green nuances.
Ellen Tracy is not a known brand in Australia, however I have heard that it’s a rather inexpensive brand overseas. That’s great to know. It means that you get a decent quality fragrance for a small price.
I must admit that Ellen Tracy does have a slightly more mature approach, however that’s not to say that it can’t be worn by younger women. Ellen Tracy would more than likely appeal to those that like soft, clean and soapy scents.
The only disappointing factor I found whilst wearing this fragrance was its lack of longevity. I had to re-apply once every three hours.

I LOVE the bottle and wanted to love the scent. Unfortunately, I did not. On my skin, it’s a cinnabar scented peach tea. This would be lovely and cozy for autumn on the right person. My glamorous grandmother wore cinnabar and opium and they were brilliant on her…I just wish she could have experienced this because she would have loved it.

I wore Ellen Tracy about 11 years ago when it was fairly new. I liked it, but for whatever reason moved on to something else. I
