Description

The freshness of citruses (bergamot, lemon and orange) forms a contrasts to flowers (rose oil, jasmine, yellow freesia, powdery iris and lily of the valley). Warm woody notes of cedar and sandal mix with white musk, whilst Javan patchouli and amber radiate underline the long-lasting, timeless elegance. The nose behind this fragrance is Egon Oelkers.

The bottle’s design is minimalistic, with the use of the finest French glass, decorated with three elegant black black bands, the spaces between which are inlaid with a precious 22 carat gold plating. The wooden stopper is oversized and it can also be seated under the bottle to create an unusual visual effect. The package is luxurious with a mystical black gloss and 2 gold-colored bands that replicate the design of the flacon. It was designed by Rainer Diersche.

The fragrance is available as 100 ml Eau de Parfum. It is made in France.
Eleganza Luminosa was launched in 2008.

An extremely balanced, polished to pure perfection, mainstream, “trendy” perfume. Well, it starts a bit 10-years-ago trendy, when rose patch with fuzzy synth musks and silky background was the thing.
However, in a way, it was/is futuristic and innovative – remember the white Narciso Rodriguez cube? A great abstract milky clean “nothing”, smelling crazily good, like the perfect you, but better? Eleganza Luminosa apparently was the first to introduce this concept.
This perfume simply smells good. Reminds me of the first and the latest Narciso Rodrigues perfumes (that are all very good) and, yeah, of the glorious Midnight Poison (nowhere to be seen nowadays) with its camphorous note.
The “bad” and the good of this perfume are almost the same thing. It reminds of way too many perfumes, but – it is probably the best of them. Perfect balance, clear cut edges, nothing stands out too much, no disturbing undertones. Good longevity and sillage.

I am so upset this was a blind buy for me and while its quite lovely its also a bit boring snd had extremely poor longevity. Im sorry but I feel like this was such a waste of my good hard earned money.

The opening reminds me of Narciso Rodriguez: beautiful radiant woody floral. The name really says it all. Sadly, this luminous elegant aura vanishes completely after 3 hours. If I press my nose to my skin, the most gorgeous edible musky vanilla skin scent remains until the end of the day. This perfume is an elegant lady with kinky secrets:) Those who sniff you from the distance during the day will get very different idea of you than the person who will get to the sniffing distance later on.
I would recommend this to those who are searching for elegant perfume with a twist and do not have perfume-eating skin. My review is based on wearing a sample on a couple of days.

I REALLY like this, it is a very likable, elegant and feminine fresh floral perfume, with loads of freesia and citruses on the top, followed by smooth and sweetened rose and musk. Dries down to a very pretty musky base.
Even though this is not unique, it is very much worth a try. It has a very good silage. I would really justify buying a FB of this pretty floral, but I have a certain “5 hour rule”. Eleganza Luminosa dissapears from my skin within 3 hours. On clothes though it lingered for around 10 hours.

Linari ELEGANZA LUMINOSA seems like a pretty plain Jane floriental to me. This is a yellowish perfume, with a creamy feeling, slightly sweet sandalwood–nothing like this house’s Mark Buxton caramel perfume, thankfully–with a smooth mix of florals which give something of a mimosa feeling, although mimosa is apparently not present here. Perhaps yellow freesia plus x, y, and z creates a quasi-mimosa effect to my nose? Who knows?
The drydown of ELEGANZA LUMINOSA is, once again, a smooth sandalwood vanilla scent, and it smells perfectly fine, but I think that this same effect has been achieved by dozens of other perfumes at a fraction of the price. I’m not saying that every perfume has to be radically unique, but this one is not distinct enough to stand out from the crowd, so, all other things being equal, it seems rational to seek out a less expensive member of the same class, if a creamy yellow floriental is what you’re after…
This seems more feminine than unisex to me. Something about the sweet florals, perhaps?

    ***UPDATE***
Dries down to a VERY subtle vanilla base.

I have to agree with alfarom here – much as I enjoy this scent, I can’t help but feel that it’s been done before and a similar fragrance can be found for a much lower price.
Scents such as this remind me of champagne – sparkling, light, golden yellow in colour, fruits blending with florals. Very wearable, very pretty, superbly feminine.
Projection is minimal on me and longevity isn’t great at only 4 hours or so.
I often think that the benefit of having so many similar fragrances is that we can each choose the one which leans towards our particular preference, so that we may wear variations on a theme. The question then is whether you want to pay £145 for this variation or hold out for one that may only cost you £50.

A well executed floral-woody-citrus. Almost perfect in its balance and progression from the citrus opening to the woody drydown via the flowery middle phase, unfortunately it’s not particularly original (Chloè EDP, Flowerbomb, Narciso Rodriguez for Her…too many to mention). Ridicolously overpriced.

Another wonderful creation by Egon Oelkers. The same as eo02 by biehl.pw that I’m in love with, this is very special and impressive for me. Complicated and divine. For very special occasions. Distinctive, creamy with unbelievably wonderfully balanced woody notes. In my opinion much better than “Amouages” but the style is a little bit similar.

This is absolutely divine. I dont normally like anything too citrusy or anything with too much floral and I would never buy a FB of this based on the description and notes because it just doesnt sound like something i would love, but wow this is so pretty yet timelessly sophisticated at the same time. The fruits and flowers are so seamlessly blended into one another, my nose is having an orgasm every time i breathe in. Im not sure how to actually describe to you how this smells, but it first and foremost reminded me of Coco mademoiselle, which i like, but this a softer version with maybe a touch more sweetness. Get a sample if you can and try this, I was really pleasantly surprised and I will now have to buy a bottle 🙂
