I recently won a rollerball of Electron in a Fragrantican’s giveaway.
This is an unusual rose perfume. It is light yet lasts fairly long (about 6 hours), with slight projection (almost a skin scent). Many rose scents are heavy, more suitable for evening, but Electron has a freshness which makes it ideal for daytime, and it is OK for the office. It seems to have better longevity and sillage in more humid weather.
The rose is sweet but not cloying, and is very realistic, while the tea adds a brisk note. Another reviewer compared the violet leaf accord to watermelons, and indeed I do detect a fresh, fruity aroma in this perfume. The drydown is slightly musky, with a hint of a creamy powdery note (I guess that’s the orchid).
My only problem with Electron is the rollerball itself, which does not apply much perfume. You really have to get rough with it!
Electron is a delightful addition to my perfume collection.

I remember when people swapped these A Dozen Roses as niche perfumes and very expensive ones. And they still are, 125$ in Nieman Marcus still. But I am very happy to pick them up at 9.99 at TJMaxx. I don’t know what the real value will be but at 9.99 there’s nothing to discuss, just buy them all (which I did).
I think I am getting into roses which I used to hate. At least with these ones I enjoy roses now. But I think the one word that I can use for all six of them is “juicy”.
There is succulence and juiciness in all of them. Reminds me of this Trident gum which had juice/syrup inside, I don’t know if they still make it. Just like you are in a greenhouse filled with fruits and flowers and heady humidity – juicy! All-enveloping juiciness, succulence and sucking-you-in deep humidity, gorgeous!

I love ALL roses! And this perfume smells like none of the other dozen rose/Rose mix fragrances I have…and that’s SUCH a good thing! Taking a little snuff at this makes you go, “Ahhhhhhh!” – it’s that lovely. No, it’s not a dirty rose like Calligraphy Rose and David Yurman, but it is a beautiful variation to a crisp, clean and very fresh rose! LOVE IT!
And yes, it’s a little similar to Stella 2014, but NOT an exact dupe.

I like roses and I like sour, but this doesn’t hold up.

I like it. True, it is not the truest or the most complex rose ever. It is really more aquatic than anything, as the violet leaf is loud and proud from the start.
I have to disagree with the “dryer sheet” comments… I wish I could find a dryer sheet that smelled like this! Maybe it could be a fantasy dryer sheet, if there is such a thing?
There is a blast of rose at first, and then much more watermelon-like violet leaf. I would like more rose to be present throughout. The tea is mellow, not sharp or too green, as I find EA’s Green Teas to be.
The musk doesn’t show its face until the very end, which does take its time to arrive. …And, orchid? I wish. That would have added a nice creamy, powdery facet that could have grown the thing up a bit.
So, a nice office fragrance. That’s pretty much. Hell no, I wouldn’t even pay the discounted $30 for the full bottle at T.J. Maxx… but I am happy to own my $2 rollerball. It’s something I might reach for when I’m not in the mood for any of my grown-up lady stuff.

I have to say, I don’t understand all the negative reviews. Ever since I smelled and fell in LOVE with Stella McCartney (which I still need to buy) I have been hunting for more rose fragrances. I found a wonderful warm rose in Vera Wang’s Rose & Vanilla and have been searching for a nice fresh rose. Electron is the lovely fresh rose fragrance I have been searching for! I love the tea note combined with the rose. It’s a bit soapy almost, and I can understand the comparison to dryer sheets. I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s definitely mine. I love clean, unobtrusive fragrances that I can wear comfortably and that suit almost any occasion. I don’t find Electron boring at all. I am slightly disappointed that it doesn’t smell like Stella AT ALL, but I am happy to have another gorgeous perfume to add to my collection!

Agreed with the dryer sheets reference, although decidedly greener. The rose in this one smells kind of fruity and is quickly overpowered by the green tea, violet leaves, and musk. It smells clean and light; fans of Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea line will definitely enjoy this scent. It’s pleasant enough, but it definitely isn’t a love for me. Luckily I only bought a rollerball (for $1.99 at TJ Maxx, I might add!!!) so no harm, no foul. I’ll probably give this one away. Excited to explore the other scents in the line though, I LOVE Angel Face!

I have to go against the stream here and say that this fragrance is not so “blah” as everyone here puts it.
This is a fresh, modern, clean, great smelling rose/tea scent. It doesn’t smell like a perfume to me, but more like you just got out of the shower. Surprisingly, on me this has an extremely long staying power, even Montales fly off my skin in about an hour, but this one holds for hours, literally all day.
I do understand, that snobby Niche only perfume fanatics will say, ohh this is so boring and nothing special, but I have to disagree. What you get here is an everyday non offensive, just got out of the shower, simple perfume. Because SOMETIMES YOU JUST WANT TO SMELL GOOD, fresh and clean, and not like some kind of spice, aoud/morgue, incense, blood, raccoon musk etc.
Because these might be a favorite notes in perfume expert circles, but to regular people in public these notes smells awful, nobody appreciates it but you, so leave those “real art perfumes” at home for your self, but for daily wear in public, wear something like Electron, something that doesn’t smell like you haven’t showers for days, or just came out of the hospital.
Another great thing about this perfume is the Bottle design! WOW what a pleasure to have a simple everyday perfume in such a gorgeous unique and nothing similar to it bottle. To me it’s a pleasure to hold it in my hands, this is another huge plus.
Lately, you can also find this brand in your local Marshals, Tj Max for such a ridiculously funny price ( I got mine for 30 dollars on sale ), in comparison to it’s original price of 125, this is an amazing deal!

Light rosy perfume, very delicate, soft and feminine, no musky scary smells, just pure rose.
Longevity and silage are very poor, 20 min and smell is gone.

This is the smell of synthetic freshness. It’s instructive but neither beautiful nor interesting.

Nothing too special. Af first, it smells like rosy cucumber water, then it smells like roses and tea. This perfume is too sweet and watery, for someone like me who is not a big fan of sweet florals, it’s a definate scrubber.

I get alot of perfume samples but I usually throw them in my ever growing sample collection (im not a big perfume person). But I was bored so I put some of this (electron sample) on and I LOVED IT. I immediately went online and ordered some!
