Rasasi Egra belongs to the same family as Green Irish Tweed, Aspen, Cool water and Grey Flannel. To say it is a clone of Green Irish Tweed in my opinion sets up the wrong kind of expectations and also does a disservice to how Egra manages to put its own twist to the formula.
Egra still smells really familiar. Out of the four fragrances I mentioned I think Aspen is the closest in comparison but Egra doesn’t smell as barren as its modern reformulation. It is a smoother fragrance than the latest Cool Water but doesn’t manage to replicate the softness and freshness of Green Irish Tweed. The quality is still pretty amazing for something that costs so little.
The twist that sets Egra apart is the green vibe that takes me to the pine forests of my childhood more than any scent in the Cool water like genre. The overall smell is nice. It is a scent that is rugged enough but civilized, a bit old fashioned, smooth and abstract.
It is a good cheapie to add to your collection if you want to explore the idea of something like Green Irish Tweed and Cool Water, more so than the modern Aspen. Egra is also a good purchase if you know you like the style in general. In a way it is still a very conservative version of a familiar idea so if you are looking for something surprising there isn’t much to find here. For me that doesn’t factor in too much. It is the scent itself that matters.
Disclosure: This review was written while simultaneously wearing Grey Flannel, Aspen and Egra. No other person was nasally harmed during the experiment. I would characterize the combination as a perfect melange for taking out the trash at 2 am. Make of that what you will.

I’ve never smelled Creed Green Irish Tweed but I love Armaf Tres Nuit. I wish it projected longer on my skin.
Same thing here: Rasasi Egra for men gives me a moderate projection for one hour and after that stays near my skin.
The smell is absolutely lovely. I love it. Simply put it smells like coniferous forest. I can’t decide which one is better, Tres Nuit or this. Egra for men is dryer, more serious in a way, there’s no lavender. I feel like I can layer some sweet fruit scents with Tres Nuit easily but with Egra for men I just don’t want to even try. It’s like Tres Nuit is an evening version of Egra. 😀 Apply Egra in the morning and over-apply Tres Nuit in the evening with for example some pear. 😀
Spruce/fir is a nice touch! After an hour I stick my nose to my arm, exhale to warm up the scent on my skin and then inhale the firry goodness. Smells quite natural. If you have ever drawn a needle out of fir, chewed it and experienced that acidy taste and smell, Egra for men gives you that.
One youtube reviewer who’s opinion I appreciate said this is on par with Davidoff Cool Water. I’ve never smelled Cool Water but if Cool Water’s quality is this good I need to get myself a bottle!
I’ll edit this later if I find the longevity better. It just might be that this eau de parfum causes olfactory fatigue in me. At this point I’m not even sure if it’s possible, since some of my senses are “slow”.
It’s winter time now. Snow and dirt outside. I’m gonna spray myself good with Egra and go out. Who said fresh fragrances can’t be used in cold weather? 🙂

For the price, this has to be one of the best GIT-like fragrances on the market. The projection and silage are great and the longevity is absolutely amazing, 8-10 hours longevity even in the summer.

Very fresh, mild, manly, green and noble. Good longevity and silage. My wife’s favorite man perfume 🙂 The bottle design is elegant, stylish and pleasant. One of my great appreciated favorit! Excellent job from Rasasi house.
    10/10

I would have to say that Aamir Ahmed’s review below coincides with my impressions after Wearing Egra a couple times.
It’s a milder less synthetic version of Aspen (which I also like but gets a bit chemical if oversprayed) and therefore a bit more versatile.
It’s a good fresh green scent. Performance and longevity is moderate, a safe scent for the workplace and good for spring/summer months.
For people comparing to Cool Water and GIT, I can say Egra is only similar in the fresh green impressions, Cool Water is one of my favourite fragrances so I can tell the differences between these scents quickly. Egra is somewhat linear whereas Cool Water has a great dark tobacco drydown. GIT is obviously a whole different animal, I have had a few 5ml decants of it through the years and it IS beautiful but in my mind just too high a price, you could buy 5-6 fragrances (including Cool Water) which is essentially a yearly fragrance wardrobe for the same price as one bottle of GIT.
Anyway Egra for Men is a safe bet for fans of Green scents
    Nice!

Bought this one hoping i could cheap out of buying GIT. This is not a bad green fresh frag, it’s worth it for the price, but it is no GIT. I can’t really put my finger on the specific differences, all i can say is that GIT has a cool crisp snap to it that by comparison this smells just a bit wilted. that probably won’t make sense, but thats the best i can do.

Bought a decant of this. Well, first, I have to say I am not a big fan of green fragrances. I can, however, objectively say this is a very good one, the juniper, violet and fir are well blended and it somehow makes sense to me. At the ridiculous price tag, I will probably buy it some time and use it occasionally as I sometimes get fatigue from the usual olfactory groups of fragrances I enjoy.
Even the performance is very solid, again, well done, Rasasi!

First I must say I’m not a big fan of Creed’s Green Irish Tweed, and totally hate Davidoff’s Cool Water, so if you’re big fan of either one you may as well stop reading now.
…or maybe not, so you won’t be disappointed if buy it as more economical replacement to either of them.
When it comes to house of Rasasi it is either total hit or complete miss for me. This is one of those misses. The best way to describe how I feel about it would be: if Cool Water is kind of cheap sibling of GIT, Egra is cheap sibling of Cool Water. And this is true to everything from scent itself to performance and presentation/bottle. While most of Rasasi perfumes are at minimum long lasting and have good sillage and projection, Egra barely reach moderate mark in each category.
Even I pay only $17 for it, I feel like I’ve overpaid $10.
Final score 3 out of 10 in each category.

Guys stop saying how surprised you are with the similarities to GIT…it makes no sense to compare a niche all time bestseller to a piece of generic and dated smelling stuff like this…who says this is 90% GIT must have been under the influence when he smelled this….
BTW…the egra for women is much much better…

This scent is definitely in the same area as Green Irish Tweed (GIT). Doing a left hand/right hand comparison with Geoffrey Beene Grey Flannel, the top notes are very similar but Egra has less wood and moss. So it’s a lighter fragrance with less ‘skank’.
Longevity is very good – well over 12 hours on my skin. As an ‘homage’ to GIT it’s pretty good value as it delivers 90% of GIT for around 10% of the asking price.

Is this very close to Tres Nuit? Top comments in both compare them to a higher quality Aspen.

Better & creamier version of coty aspen.i love it.

It’s like a higher quality COTY ASPEN mixed with GIT, and moderate strength although the top really does pop out at you for a good hour or so. It’s great juice. I love this for the price. Think GIT with an added pine vibe going on from the fir needle oil note. Great bright juice from Rasasi.

this probably was inspired by GIT and CW and the similarity is to be found as well as the similarity with Aspen. Good longevity (app. 6hrs), decent projection, nice bottle, great price = no reason to complain – 7.5/10

ok, it’s difficult not to compare this to coolwater or GIT but it’s kinda stuck between them. it isn’t as sharp or dry as cool water nor as fresh and green as GIT. but what it does it does it well.. it has a sweeter more subtle refreshing clean version of them both combined… so yes it smells like them both but it is just different enough not to be a clone of either.
it will remind you of both, yet i find this charming light hearted way about egra. i have now tried all three and have tried chez bond and also kiton.
they all have a similar vibe but do it their own way.
if you are looking for something similar and want a long lasting toned down version (not as sharp) then take a look at rasasi’s egra. i don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

being from an arab country that one is different to what we think as typical arab gulf countries perfums, quite a gentle smell,in the current vibe, very westernized and fresh, cannot think on any similar one, pity longevity isnt that great, but smells ok for medium hot weather places
