valfEdiva – :
I have been testing Eau du Matin side by side with Gianfranco Ferre edt in the identical bottle, only with black plastic (apparently they were launched the same year, 1984). They are basically the same scent, just that Eau du Matin is a lighter/brighter version – as might be expected, since matin means morning. Eau du Matin has less spice and more sunshine in its flowers, but there’s definitely a strong resemblance. And I love them both!
I’m surprised that tuberose is not listed above, because it feels like one of the main notes, just like in the edt. I can also smell narcissus (which is stronger in the edt).
I found this list of notes:
Top notes: hyacinth, bergamot, fruit, vegetables, coriander, orange blossom.
Heart notes: tuberose, jasmine, rose, honeysuckle, narcissus, lily of the valley, orchid
Base Notes: musk, spices.
