I wore this when I was 9 or 10 years old. My mum used to buy it for me at a local drugstore that had the whole Eau de Varens line. My mum has always been a fan of citrusy fragrances (being Acqua di Gio her signature) so I wanted something citrus and sharp as well.
Eau de Varens Nº3 is a very sharp citrus and aromatic fragrance. The lime is really strong, almost overpowering all the other notes but there’s something green and woody (seeing the notes, verbena and palsander rosewood I suposse). I noticed a similarity with Issey Miyake A Scent when I first smelled it, but A Scent is more complex, jasmine and cedarwood take it to a whole new level. Eau de Varens Nº3 is a lemon-lime classical eau de cologne with a nice twist.
The lasting power is horrible and after a strong start, is sits close to the skin. I wouldn’t compare it to another fragrance because it was sold as a body spray and that’s what I think it is.
I think this was discontinued. After going through 2 or 3 bottles quite quickly as a child, I never saw it again.
