This is a preliminary review, as I was wearing too much of my perfume to want to test this on my skin. So, it was a paper test and oh my, but it smelled so much like I remember YSL Paris from the 80s! And, this is a good thing to me, as the current version seems to have lost its beauty and freshness and perhaps the violet?. I am concerned, however, about several comments that this parfume goes bad so quickly. I may try this again on my skin, but will proceed with caution.

The first time I tested this, I knew I had to have it. It was very sophisticated, pretty, and feminine, lots of florals, woods and powder with just a little bit of sweetness, the light pink liquid so befitting of this cooler airy fragrance.
However, I no longer have it and can’t do a proper review because within a year of purchase I got rid of it, after discovering that it was no longer soft and pretty. It turned sharper, and became way too strong the way many honey perfumes are though I did not think there was a trace of honey before…it basically turned into a floral bug spray. Some fragrances are wearable even after they have changed over time, (and time meaning 10 years or more) but this one was not, as it had changed the positive characteristics too much.
All this happened about 10 years ago, when the product was relatively new on the market, so it’s not like I purchased one sitting on a shelf for a long time and got stale. It’s just a very unstable formula that doesn’t keep, I guess. By the way, the cap was really weighty solid metal…kind of unusual.

I now have a bottle of this from a swap. Mine is the pale yellow, not pink colour. I keep asking my Mum, ‘does this smell off to you’ and she keeps saying an emphatic ‘NO! Not at all, it’s very flowery.’
It is indeed but a strong ‘honeyed’ base comes through quite quickly for me. It reminds me of a L’Occitane – Immortelle de Corse – I tried and didn’t like but also very strongly reminds me of violet leaf – not the Devon/parma violets sweets type violet, but actual violet leaf essential oil.
I’ve applied it to the back of my hand tonight and in the lamplight, I can see that the juice is actually glittery! Tiny glitters throughout.
Not decided on whether I will keep this one, I’m not generally a flowery perfume person… this one may be ‘a grower’ though, I’ll keep trying it. Lovely bottle.

This has long been a favorite of mine and I just got a second bottle after finally running out. It is not a perfume I that I wear very often, as I frequently found myself not in the mood to wear this beauty. I find it very reminiscent of Guerlain Apres L’Ondee. While not identical, they have the same olfactory feel, and for some reason I do not truly understand; both can make me feel a little blue. Although there are several notes listed hear, the overriding one on my skin is a fresh realistic violet, warmed by ylang ylang and rose; it evokes a feeling of a walk in an English garden after the rain. That is probably where the “sadness” comes from, I used to do that in my father’s garden that took up the whole yard…sometimes nostalgia feels like sadness.
Nevertheless, this is beautiful perfume possessing moderate sillage and good longevity.

I loved La Lune. It is a very soft floral with a bit of sweetness. It is a comforting and calming scent. Alas, the bottle turned on me within a month, and I bought another bottle, which turned within a few months. Pity.

A nice scent. Smells like a beautiful, expensive French soap. And sometimes it’s great to smell that way! It’s not an obvious soap smell at all-not one of those soapy fragrances, but it does remind me of very expensive french soap.
I really appreciate that this fragrance does not use the over used Gardenia. I will try again in the summer. And I love getting the violet & frangipani in the back ground.

This is a very nice scent. It is not heavy, but the scent lasts for an extended amount of time. For me, it is a daytime scent and can be worn from the Spring through the Fall. It is light and not overpowering, especially if you suffer from allergies. For a floral, it is allergy friendly. A little on the powdery side, but again, it is light. It is perfect for the work place and I also received a lot of complements when I wore this fragrance.

Eau de Lune is a beautiful soft floral which is simplistic but never boring.
The scent itself is generally fresh and clean with a glorious musky drydown. The notes have been blended well with the violet, white peach, rose and hibiscus giving this fragrance both character and style.
It’s a relatively safe scent, something that would suit all seasons and occasions and would suit the workplace nicely as it is very inoffensive and subtle.
The lasting strength is great and the overall composition, in my opinion, heavenly. I highly recommend.
