Description
Lacoste presents Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 Pour Elle, a new collection of feminine fragrances that match the men’s L.12.12 collection. The collection is inspired by Lacoste pleated tennis skirts and consists of three fragrances: Elegant, Sparkling and Natural. Each edition represents a different mood of the Lacoste woman.
Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 Pour Elle Elegant is announced as a classic scent for a self-confident woman, always fresh and relevant. Citrus oils, cassis bud and pink pepper start the composition brightly; Elegant is toned-down by the heart of mimosa which provides softness and femininity together with violet and lily of the valley. Vetiver in the base creates a warm sensuality and an edgy signature that is complemented by notes of vanilla and heliotrope.
The fragrances are available as 90 ml Eaux de Toilette. Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 Pour Elle Elegant was launched in 2015.

This is on clearance right now at Khols so I sprayed a test on my arm thinking I might purchase it, and I’m happy I did not blind buy because it reminds me of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Mimosa, which I already have a 3.4oz and only paid $10 for. This may perform better, so if you love that fragrance, or want a Citrus top/Mimosa heart/Heliotrope base than this is for you! Would be a redundant buy for me.

This starts off on me as reminding me a whole lot of an Issey Miyake fragrance, Issey L’eau, I think is the one..? His original one, anyway. Very crisp and a little ‘manufactured smelling’ to me. But for some reason, Lacoste fragrances always end up smelling either very synthetic on me after about half an hour, or like body odor. Unfortunately, this one smells like both..not good. 🙁
UPDATE: While this does have a drydown period that does not smell pleasant to me/on my skin, I was outside on a windy Spring day with this, and this is actually lovely. Still not a fan of this indoors on my skin, but outside, this smells lovely!! Strange!! I could see this being lovely for an outdoor picnic, outdoor concert, outdoor festival, that sort of thing. But indoors, for some reason, this does not smell pleasant to my nose. Debating a bottle of this. But how many outdoor things do I go to..? Ahh, if only I was more of an outdoorsy gal!! But the “Elegant” name is odd to me, too. I do not find this ‘elegant’ at all. At best this is fresh and very crisp and clean. *shrug* As always, YMMV. Have a nice day. 🙂

Fresh and floral with a good longevity. Not so very special but good value for money and likeable for most people I think. If you love lily of the valley this is the perfume you´ve been looking for.

Fresh! Fresh! Fresh! Tart and floral and smells soooo good! This is well blended fruity floral! I don’t think this smells very “elegant”, mostly it just smells so fun and flirty!
To me this smells a lot like DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom, which I love, but after Donna Karan’s recent callous and idiotic comments I have kinda soured on anything with your her name attached.
So glad to find something that (to me) smells so similar.

My sister wanted this for her bday. I am pleasantly surprised by this.
It is light, fresh, sparkling, clean, crisp. Slightly floral, feminine and over all very very pleasant. Suitable for any occasion. Two spritz is enough.
It really is elegant n just very nice.
SeseVottNonna – :
It’s a nice, safe scent, it smells very clean. I mostly get some delicate citruses and leaves from it, with a little bit of red pepper. Maybe also some very delicate flowers in the background. All in all, it smells like an inexpensive liquid soap. I appreciate the value of such scents – they’re indispensable for certain working environments where strong scents are not welcome, for days when everything gives you headache or for outdoor trips when you only want to smell fresh and clean and enjoy the aromas of the nature, not necessarily your own perfume.

It’s… Nice. It’s not elegant, it’s not sexy or particularly unique, it’s very boring. It’s utterly forgettable as a fragrance. It’s, I suppose, a safe choice, but if I hadn’t received 90ml of it as a gift, I likely would have never bought it. Boring white florals with a boring citrus punch. It smells nice, but that’s all. Just nice. Like shampoo. Or a flower.
Sillage is moderate. People who are nearby will be able to smell it.
Longevity is weak to moderate. 3-4 hours on me. Maybe 5 if I didn’t live in hot weather.
There are better white florals out there, and certainly fresher, more unique fragrances of this type. I wouldn’t buy it for myself, but I suppose it’s a safe buy to get blindly.

Smells like any drugstore shampoo. The name is misleading as this fragrance is not elegant whatsoever.
PleXtron – :
Smells fruity and just normal at first, I love the bottle but the fragrance is so-so. It’s very likeable especially when the base notes emerged. I like the sweet fresh base notes, but not enough to buy it. I classify this as a young fragrance.
ssvfgt – :
This edt is so synthetic, it gives me an instant headache. Way overpriced too.
ADIOBEST – :
this is so faint, its just a tiny whisper of powder and then its gone.

I don’t think this one (of the three new Lacoste scents) is particularly well named (it’s a little too fruity to be truly elegant), but it is much nicer than the previous reviews led me to expect. Not only does it last a lot longer than many scents do (over 3 hours and I could still smell it clearly on my wrists), but it is a fresh and very pleasant scent. Fruity floral, yes, but not overly sweet – and that takes it out of the “young” category for sure. Older women should not be afraid to wear this.
For me, the dominant notes are citrusy mimosa with a tiny hint of violet to keep it interesting. I can sort of feel cassis and pink pepper lurking in the background, but cannot clearly distinguish their notes. After about 4 hours the scent is still pretty much the same, but much weaker and more clearly floral than fruity.
Diversant – :
The notes presuppose a revived Inspiration. I hate the bottle, presentation, advertisement and even the name is so uninspired. Nevertheless, I might just go and try this. Mimosa, vetiver, LOTV, pink pepper, it looks like a beautiful combination.
Could anyone be so kind and tell how this one compares to Inspiration? I really liked that fragrance.

Elegant in so far as it’s a generic and so bland it’s a safe gift or blind buy for a young person who doesn’t yet know what they want in a scent. Fruity floral at it’s most innocuous. It reminds me of Hugo Boss Nuit without the character, and that’s saying something. It’s ever so slightly harsher at first, but it fades very quickly. “Inspired by a tennis skirt”. Big lolz for that little gem. There is a quote from Rene Lacoste on the card with my sample, which says “Ultimate femininity is natural and effortless.” I really hate this kind of nonsense. Femininity is a long labour intensive hard slog of shaving, waxing, lasering, dieting, exercising, hair-dying, outfit choosing exercise in fakery and camouflage for most. Ulimate femininity is the most work ever. Nil points Rene, for this, and your pointless new offering. Sorry. (Not sorry)
The name sucks as well.
suselxxx – :
This somehow reads musky to my nose. Floral and musky. Certainly an interesting combination, since I don’t find it to be a clean musk – more of a sweaty musk. It contains four of my least favorite notes, and considering this fact, it is amazing that I don’t outright hate it.
AnnyInhingeunwike – :
Very fruity and harsh. Green, also.
Somewhat reminiscent of J’adore but with an overdose of blackcurrant (it’s Cassis, by the way, not Cassia)
leosko – :
my fav flower heliotrope as a base note? – gotta test this!
gruzbaron – :
I was unimpressed with it, clean, floral, nothing outstanding. I sent it to my mom, she loves those types of light florals. So many fragrances like that!? The wood and the vanilla are invisible.
. Expensive for an ordinary scent hat has poor longevity…typical Lacoste.
Weellotusem – :
Elegant, cool scent indeed.
I like it, but I don’t find it exceptional. I think it can be a good choice for summer. Citruses always give some refreshment 🙂
метролог – :
Lily of the valley, citrus notes and yellow florals don’t go well together.
I think so, because, they create this weird scent, like cheap deodorant and sweat would be mixed together.
I liked Natural, the green one better, even if it was barely there.
batvans – :
It started so good that I almost run through munchen duty free to buy it.mimosa, delightful white flowers, tea and some notes of dior “j’adore ”
And it was amazing.but after very short time on my wrist all this beauty turned to some wet everything but fresh notes.
Still -very good smell but not for everyone.:)
VekEtense – :
Love all three if these new ones. I actually thought that I would like green most the pink second place and this third and funny enough this one is the best. Its VERY expensive though
владислав1 – :
tested it today. at first i thought this perfume is very unique given the opening with cassis, but later on it turned out to be a ordinary white floral with a punch of citrus notes. nothing striking or original.
