Wow im suprised that no one has reviewed this yet. I received a nice sized sample in a swap (thank you mapache;) I love iris and violet. This starts with a blast of powdery violet and smells like a baby sister to L’ Heure Bleue. It’s very much a chypre style but within seconds the violet is pushed to the back ground and a deep cold rooty iris imerges along with fresh cut grass. Soon it takes on a soapy smell and is basically an iris and lily scent. This perfume progresses quicky, all of these changes happen within the span of 5 minutes. It fades quicky too. Fading into a skin scent of iris and sandlewood and what smells like aldehydes. Powdery , soapy and oh so beautiful. Longevity is 45 minutes and sillage is huge the first 5 minutes and then is a skin scent for the last 40 minutes. It’s an absolutely georgeous perfume but performance is so dissapointing:( if this lasted hours longer and had a even a little more intensity it would be one of my favorite iris perfumes. Sadly because of poor performance i won’t buy it. I will save the rest of my sample and retest in the spring/summer. Maybe it will be great then.
