If you came to this page you’ve probably smelled a scent like this before. However, what I like about this one is that it doesn’t have a “chemical” quality, like some of these oud/rose scents do, and it gets dried and smoothed out by a decent sandalwood note, which generates enough complexity for me. Now if you haven’t smelled an “oud scent” in the past, then yes, you might say this smells like chemicals, a fire, etc., so if you can find Jovan’s Intense Oud for $10 or so (90 ml) that is likely the best place to start. If you don’t like it first you can come back to it every month or so and see if you start to appreciate it. Note that this has perhaps the slightest touch of sweetness to it, and I’d say it’s definitely more “masculine.” I’d have to say that this is one of, if not my favorite oud now! Ferrari’s Essence Oud isn’t bad for when I want a milder one, but this one is good for when I want something stronger.

Lovely Oud and Rose fragrance!

Similar to Montale’s Black Aoud.

i have this and it is a beautiful oud and rose combination. the vanilla is rather prominent and the rose is not overpowering. it has a very eastern feel to it, and has gone onto my list of favourite oud perfumes. it starts of with strong almost citrus notes which then fade into the heady mix of vanilla oud and patchouli. Its not a lightweight fragrance so be warned.

Be carful
This perfume is very heavy and may not suit everybody. I am familiar with fine oud and oud fragrances.
I sprayed this on my wrist. I couldn’t like it. Washed it with soap, and I could still smell it.
I know this is a good bonus if you like the scent, sadly , I don’t.

You’ve heard the phrase, “Be careful what you wish for because you might get it”?
Prior to this fragrance, and coming off the heels of Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud that was “too light” and “too Western” to me, I wanted a REAL OUD. I wanted something that the people walking around in Oman and Dubai would wear. I wanted to smell like the women behind the black veils that smell of smoldering roses and exotic oud.
So, even though I swore I’d do no more blind buys, when I read that the guy selling this bought it in the airport in Dubai, I jumped at it.
My first mistake was wearing this in this cold weather. Hot weather is the way to go with this. The rose needs time to bloom and the oud needs the heat to make it glow.
Wearing this today, I wish this bottle had a warning label, “Have a person experienced in CPR on hand when applying” Wow, this is powerful powerful POW-ER-FUL, serious as a heart attack oud. Oud and rose and nothing else. Period. This is the medicinal band-aid oud and pure rose oil – two of the most potent ingredients in one bottle like fire and ice. I absolutely love it as much as I am afraid of it. It is exceptionally gorgeous, but not everyone’s taste. It makes me want to wear a lace burqa and line my eyes with kohl.

Oh My. Lovely Oud fragrance. The rose and oud combo is magnificent and so original. A true Holy fragrance , you might often feel in Holy Shrines and Mosques and that’s why i am lovin it.
opening is harsh but dry down is so mellow and soft. Very long lasting. This is an EDP that’s an other edge.

a strong arabic night by fire in the desert, it is your shadow as you walk and make everyone asks what perfume you are wearing today, but not a choice at all for summer time or hot days or everyday wearing, it should be typically for the long winter evenings when you step out the house heading your favorite restaurant walking under your umbrella and hearing rain drops!!!
