Isabelle Michaud has impeccable taste, and a knack of imbuing her scents with an indefinable chic. Her Dupont Circle is a refined rose. The one to wear with silk . . . whether the silk is a dressing gown or a ballgown. DC projects taste and elegance with a finely blended accord perfectly coiffured. No note is out of place. The rose and floral notes work harmoniously, accented by a sunny bergamont, flawless woods, and a sprinkling of other notes to create a charming, light bright scent.
I am in the middle of trying all the Monsillage perfumes, and have found they are all highly wearable. They have a rare quality that lets you wear the scent, without getting tired of it, or having it be too noticeable. You wear the scent, it doesn’t wear you. They act as enhancements, not statements. It’s like meeting a striking person, dressed to impress. You get a little close, and smell a wonderful aroma that instead of distracting you from the person, elevates their effect even more. A characteristic I wish all perfumes had!

I believe that Isabelle Michaud is an extremely talented artisan and her perfumes are proof of her highly honed skills.
Dupont Circle is an exquisite rose chypre that somehow manages to be sophisticated and modern yet chic and vintage all at the same time.
While is appears to be soft and demure, every movement brings a waft of rose and green and wood and loveliness!
No note stands alone, rather it is a fragrance that is so well crafted that much like a fine tapestry, it is hard to distinguish where one fiber begins and another ends.
Beautiful and easily and gracefully worn by a man or woman!

I like this one and would buy a full bottle. When I first put it on it reminded me of Paloma Piccaso and I was like whaaat. So I compared the notes and they do share that rose, patch, oakmoss thing. This is lighter but so well made. I love vintage perfumes from the 80’s and 90’s and get excited when I find a current frag that harkens back those days. Updated and fresh of course.

Very dry light colored wood. Flat, a bit scratchy. Surprised it is listed as a fragrance for women, as my test wear left me expecting the opposite marketing.
