Description

Dream Angels Heavenly is a very American perfume: clean and clear, with a thin bouquet which smells like clean and warm skin of a woman. It was created in 1999 and flattered by many critics (FiFi 2000).

The perfume opens with notes of quince, cardamom, ivy and mandarin. The heart includes lotus, white peony, freesia, iris and violet. The base contains white musk, sandalwood, orchid and vanilla. The perfume was created by Ilias Ermenidis.

This was a similar scent to many I like on here, but I am glad I did not blind buy. It is too masculine to me and will be passed on to my spouse’s suitcase. I will give it another chance when it gets colder.

This was my go to everyday perfume back in high school when I wasn’t into perfumes. That was almost 11 years ago. I owned less than 5 perfumes at the time and this one I wore the most. I really liked it back then. It was soft & not too over powering for daily use. I no longer own it as I like different kinds of perfumes today, but whenever I smell it again I’m hit with sweet nostalgia.

Way too floral and mature for my liking. Heavenly makes me think of a bouquet of flowers, dusted with an older lady’s tushy powder. Sorry Victoria, I don’t want any part of this secret.

I had the lotion (for some reason),
I thought it was just a boring floral powdery scent- it’s painfully faint as well. If it smells anything like its liquid counterpart I can’t say it’s good- at most I can say it’s wearable…?

I used to love it, but the kind of im getting bored of recently, I can’t deny that there is a slight powderiness starting to bother me.

I’ve worn Heavenly off and on since it came on the market in the late 90’s/early 2000. I have memories of it from high school on. The EDP version I have is really heavy on the musk – less vanillic. It’s a nice, light, inoffensive fragrance. This might make me a terrible person, but I just recently realized that I tend to wear it to weddings of people I don’t like and to funerals. I haven’t explicitly marked it for that, but I just realized the pattern the other day… It is perfect for those kinds of occasions, though…

Victoria’s Secret Heavenly was a favorite of mine when it first came out years ago. I recently sampled Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom and it reminded me of Heavenly. I decided to purchase Heavenly again so I could do a side by side comparison.
Mimosa & Cardamom and Heavenly are almost identical in my opinion. They both have a lot of spicy cardamom in the opening, although I’d say a bit stronger in the Jo Malone. Each fragrance has a floral heart with Jo Malone loaded with mimosa and Heavenly with fresh floral notes of peony, freesia, and lotus. They both have powdery notes which are probably a little more prominent in Heavenly. Heavenly has vanilla in the base and Jo Malone has tonka which can have vanilla facets.
They are both very lovely fragrances and I find the longevity and sillage to be moderate in both. I think I prefer Heavenly though, mainly because it costs less. Why pay more for the same beautiful scent?

The body mist is so strong and last as long as a parfum I love this parfum is not my favorite from Victoria’s Secret but is good for winter for the musk this is a big musk warm spicy I smell the cardamom ginger and the quince smell like pumpkin spice also has flower of freesia and iris powdery aromatic and unisex has a lot of staying power and has a confident and sexy smell good for dinner date and for wearing to special event beautiful

This is slightly spicy on my skin, stays close to my body, but does radiate a clean type of warmth. I would mix it with a vanilla to warm it up, but I can’t wear it much as it causes me sneezing fits. If Egyptian Musk body oil and Old Spice cologne had a love child, it could both be named and would surely smell like Heavenly VS.
If you like: Drew Barrymore’s Cherished, you may enjoy this.
If you like: Ghost perfume,(by Ghost, not Coty), you may enjoy this.
Thank you for taking time to read my review. xo

If you want a fresh/clean slightly spicy/powdery every day feel good scent this is it. I wore this as a young teenager and it’s wonderful. I am not at all surprised this won a fifi, its a modern classic and definitely one of VS’ best. it’s softly feminine and unique. The silage/ longevity is pretty great too, I get pretty good performance from just the fragrance mist version. I Definitely need to get a bottle of the EDP at some point.

Used it when I was in high school, I was 15 years old, now I´m 24 and still love it, specially for the memories I have with it… I certainly will give it to my little sister one day 🙂

I blind bought. Mistake. Flowers and powder on me. I don’t like either of those. I could not detect wood or spice on my skin. Wish I could have. I simply could not tolerate this one.

This perfume reminds me of the “heavens”. After the initial aldehydes wear off, it’s airy, bright, sunny clean scented frag without citrus.
    It isn’t long lasting, though.
    Great as casual wear,
Dry down is powdery and has a “fleshy’ scent, Idk how else to describe it..
A real perfume with no fruity sweet scent.
    I like it.

Soo not my style. Too baby powdery and herbal where’s the sweetnes? idk.I was so geeked to try this vanilla classic.I’m glad I have it but… I’ve tried several VS perfumes at this point well three, Beach Angels, Dream and this one and I’ve yet to be impressed but you know something, I refuse to believe I can’t find something good especially now that we have the new coconut line in the 2016 “Trend” collection. The search continues.

I bought it mainly because it reminded me of Emporio Armani She. But Heavenly is a bit harsher and soapy in base notes, while She is smooth and creamy. A nice day scent.

    My teen daughter wears this
One day when she was off at school and I was still in the house and I was looking through her things – yes mother do that – I found a miniature travel size spray bottle of this scent among the items in her room.
I thought what the hell, I’ll sample it and see what it smells like. I was taken aback. With a name like Dream Angels Heavenly, and knowing what I knew about the type of Victoria Secret frags – that they’re usually light body mists, fruity, sweet scents that are not my bag – I was quite impressed with this one. This is spicier, muskier, more unisex. It’s a complex scent.
A reviewer mentioned that this smells like a guy’s cologne, I.e. Armani Code, and I can see that, but it’s powdery and musky, not masculine. Perhaps some gals associate musk scents with manliness but a woman can have musk in her perfume and as long as it doesn’t clash with her chemistry she should be able to pull it off. As it is, it’s a very light white musk and very pretty.
The opening notes include a big ivy scent, very outdoorsy and natural. There’s also a violet and iris floral note that dominate the florals. In fact these notes in the heart reminded me of Vera Wang’s Periwinkle & Iris. The peony is also quite strong.
The powdery florals turn into a vanilla scent in the dry down. The musk is there but like I said it’s a very well composed musk and probably one of the best musk scents in a Victoria Secret perfume.
Dream Angels Heavenly is not the powdery sweet ephemeral scent I was expecting. It’s long lasting, spicy, floral and musky, confident, bold and womanly, mature even. I doubt the teen girls who go into the VS boutiques even care for this scent. It’s as mature as NIGHT and RAPTURE which is my absolute favorite.
I would like to know who creates these VS fragrances. The noses are never mentioned so it’s a bit of a mystery. I get the feeling that some of the same noses work on the fruity florals or the gourmands- i.e. Coconut Passion, Island, Very Sexy, Eau So Sexy, Scandalous, Amber Romance, Love Spell, etc. But there are some frags like this one that are far more sophisticated and engaging. I believe the noses behind frags like this one and Night/Rapture have more experience.
So yeah I liked it and went out to buy one for myself. I wanted my husband to like it but he too thought it was a bit too musky. I wear this mainly for myself when I want to put a warm blanket over me and curl up on the sofa reading a book on rainy afternoons or lazy Sunday mornings.
This is a cozy, comforting powdery scent with musk and florals to die for.
    Beautiful.
    Beautiful fragrance.

This was the perfume every girl in middle school and high school was obsessed with seriously for like 8/10 years straight! Of coarse someone gifted me this in that time frame maybe 2005? It was a nice clean perfume if I remember correctly but then I wasn’t impressed enough to fall in love with it… I couldn’t really tell you anything else because I regifted it to my little sister as I was more into D&G light blue and JPG at the time I felt like this was a nice safe scent and that was something that I wasn’t really aiming for at the time 😉 I liked to stand out then. Now I’m a hot mom lol I’ll give this a try now that I’m older and wiser maybe I’ll like it maybe I was right who knows.

I don’t get it. Everyone loves this perfume and all the reviewers praise this to the high heavens (no pun intended, Dream Angels Heavenly lol). I don’t think this is an angelic sweet or heavenly. I wanted to smell the flowers: violet, peony, freesia, lotus, iris. Usually iris and violet are very pronounced in other florals but they are dead in this fragrance for me. All I get is musk and spices. I can detect the quince cardamom and ivy but it doesn’t smell good. And it smells like a guys’ cologne. In fact it reminds me of Armani Code for Men. It’s powdery but like baby powder powdery and that’s not attractive to me. Why does everyone like this? Why are they smelling something I don’t smell? This is a musk based fragrance for guys on earth, not angels sitting on clouds. I have a miniature bottle which I sampled and used up. Not going to buy a bottle of this ever.

I’m totally obsessed with this perfume. It’s my January scent, when the weather is colder (~15 Celsius degrees) and this time of the year I’m usually in Vegas because of business. So this is my “Vegas Scent”, and it makes me cry every time I spray it on me during the year. I don’t know why, but I love that place, and this perfume makes me feel confident and sexy (I’m not at all :D). I don’t really get the vanilla note, but the cardamom. It’s strange, because I don’t really like powdery/musky/spicy perfumes. Sometimes I get that WD40 smell, I agree, this is real 😀 But for me it was just one day, and it vanished quite quickly. I think it depends on the weather and especially on the mood. It’s not a cheap one, but it lasts all night, and I think it’s special in it’s own way. I’ve never tried Armani She, but I ordered a sample to try it if it maybe resembles.

I absolutely love Heavenly! I suffer from chronic migraines and I’m so very sensitive to smells. Almost any smell can trigger a migraine, even the best things in life. But when I put on my Heavenly perfume it doesn’t bother me one bit! I’m so happy I found it! My husband Loves it too! After all these years together her hugs me and says “Man you smell good! I never get tired of how you smell!” Needless to say, I’ve been wearing it a really long time! I’ve used the lotions, the oil, the sparkle lotion, the body spray. Basically everything they have in that scent! It’s the only thing I can wear!!

I love this scent! I had emptied two bottles of this baby already! The first one was given to me on my 18th birthday by a family friend and I used it then. It was an edt. The 2nd bottle was even better. It was an edp and had more pronounced notes that I can’t get enough of. Unfortunately, the scent does not last long on me (both). This should’ve been my signature scent but because of the longevity, I’ll pass.

Smells like powdery soap and nothing else. No development and gone in a flash. Fine if you fancy that, I guess, but for me this is extremely boring.

A friend really likes this fragrance, so I decided to try it. Heavenly is a powdery, sandalwood scent that just doesn’t appeal to me. Actually, I’m turned off by it and don’t really understand why so many like it.

A sweet soft fragrance of flowers ginger and vanilla. Very light so even if I put too much on it never does smell too strong to others. It’s perfect like others have suggested as lingerie perfume or to wear to bed. Cozy, comfortable, relaxing. The opening is a tad spicy with cardamom which is ginger and quince a tad aromatic but never too much. The second stage of the fragrance, the heart, is like angels playing harp music on clouds. Ah just smells so divine so good. I smell soft flowers of violet, iris freesia orchid and lotus. Peony is probably the strongest scent but even peonies are soft. The final stage is vanilla heaven. I love wearing this for myself more so than for others although I’ve received compliments when I have worn this out in the day time. Highly recommended. Very inoffensive so it’s good for office wear too. But I see it as more of a soft boudoir scent. Love it.

This is just lovely and timeless. I’m sensitive to strong scents, but to me this one has a bit of the sultry appeal of heavier fragrances while still being very soft and intimate. I definitely get some spice from the cardamon, maybe I’m hypersensitive to it because I normally stick to white musk and soft vanilla type scents with no spice at all. Quite woody on me as well; I think my chemistry mutes the florals and emphasizes the warmer notes instead. I love it! Ideal for any occasion, especially those involving snuggling up (whether alone or with a companion is entirely up to you…) Comfy and sexy in an understated, classic way. Heavenly will always be a favorite of mine.

Dec. 2015: I own the white capped version, purchased when it launched. Yep, my bottle is THAT old. She’s an oldie, but a goodie. I primarily use this for after shower – get into bed time. It’s soft, clean, crisp and clear. White! To me it’s not sexy, but it can be sensuous. I wear it all year, day or night. My bottle is still in use only because I have so many perfumes, I may get bored and have no need to come back to one for awhile.
I see from previous reviews, she now might be altered. Haven’t sniffed a bottle in the store in forever, so I don’t know how mine compares. But I’m VERY pleased with what I have. I would think this would appeal to a woman of any age. I’m also pleased with silage and longevity. Put it on after shower and go to bed, I can smell it well into next morning.

I used to wear this perfume before I went to sleep during my freshman and sophomore years. It came off as very musky, orchidy, and sandlewoody ro me. I wore it, since it made me feel sexy and confident. I haven’t really touched the stuff for two years, but that’s only because I forgot that I still have a tiny bit left. This is more of a night perfume. It’ll be great for girls nights out, dates, and even formal events. I plan on finishing the bottle soon so I can rebuy a new bottle.

    Smell Like An Angel
Notes In Victoria Secret’s Dream Angels Heavenly
Head Notes: Quince Cardamom, Ivy Mandarin
Heart Notes: Lotus White Peony Freesia, Iris Violet
Base Notes: Musk Sandalwood Orchid Vanilla
Good enough to scent my Victoria’s Secret lingerie? Yes. I prefer L’Agent Provocateur but Victoria’s Secret has become such an old fashioned lady like lingerie and it suits the personality I’ve developed: sweet and sexy as opposed to tigress. This is a very sweet perfume. It opens with some unusual notes of quince and cardamom which give it some foody flavor but it never takes over the fragrance. The mandarin is the only fruit note. This is mainly a floral vanilla scent. The flowers are soft, heady and sweet, but not cloying nor too heavy. They’re very powdery. Lotus is very noticeable as is the white peony, freesia and violet. In the base note there is one more flower; a pink orchid which gives it a slightly exotic flair. The base notes contain white musk, sandalwood and vanilla. The difference between white musk and regular deer musk is that it’s much softer. I could barely feel it. I felt more of the vanilla. This is such a sweet, sweet dessert of a fragrance, like a floral scented dessert. It’s creamy, powdery and delicious. I enjoyed this scent and never wanted it to end, but it did end. It doesn’t appear to have a long life but I can always reapply with another spray. I take this one to bed with my robes, nighties, nightgowns and pajamas. I love it.

This really is a beautiful fragrance. There really isnt anything else like it, its very unique and comforting!
However, I can never wear this because everyone and their mom wore this while I was in high school (including my mom haha), it is/was just way too popular! Still lovely though…

I love it. Very flowery and musky, very clean and pure feeling of the angel, flying in the bright skies on her white wings. Tender and innocent, perfectly balanced: just creamy notes and flowers, musk and sandalwood. Perfect from the morning to the deep night, especially if you use layers of the products with similar fragrance on your skin: cream, body spray, perfume. All-purpose fragrance: for the dates, dance parties, office, loneliness… Love it again and again!

I have the original bottle purchased during the initial release. It has the white heart cap. I have had it a very long time. It was a gift from my husband. It is a really nice perfume, I enjoy wearing it. I am a newbie at discerning individual notes, so all I can tell you is it is a nice floral that smells good through all the stages. Does not smell trashy, or “sweaty”, or too sweet and cloying.
Its a pretty, simple composition, not complex, and wearable for many situations. I don’t reach for this often, but it’s a good everyday type of thing.
I have not smelled the new formulations so I can’t tell if it is different, but there are so many flankers that it is easy to get them mixed up.
Its a good buy, but similar to many others, so don’t spend a lot on it.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

After really thinking about it, smelling my different Heavenly bottles over time, and buying a “white heart cap” version (original made in 1999 and the early 2000s), I think GeorgiaMoxie may be right. I think she could be correct about a reformulation – which is only slight (to my nose, anyway). A consumer who hasn’t worn this scent for years may not notice a difference, especially if they’re going on memory – as opposed to a side-by-side comparison.
A few weeks ago, prices for the older versions of Heavenly started to skyrocket on eBay and I started to give this matter some thought. So I found a partial white heart cap Heavenly for a good price.
I agree that the original Heavenly seems to have more spice, more cardamom, and less “sweetness” (vanilla/sandalwood). The overall effect is more soapy, astringent, and a tiniest bit green (ivy?). This juce is weaker than the newer versions, probably because it has aged considerably and was exposed to Las Vegas temperatures (where the seller lives). That may also contribute to some difference in scent.
If you are a Heavenly fanatic like me, or if this is a staple in your wardrobe, I recommend at least getting samples of different versions to decide for yourself. Obviously, the white heart capped bottles have aged somewhat, so if you have your heart set on buying one, search for the fullest bottle available.

This perfume is my “go to” for a neutral base. It’s a musky inoffensive smell, which can be worn to work or anywhere else without causing any range of reactions. It’s close to the skin. I don’t consider it a perfume for any special occasions or nights out.

  38. :

    4 out of 5

This perfume is true to its name: “Heavenly.” It displays a light, floral scent coupled with a powdery, lightly sweet scent. With all the floral notes in this, it surprises me that the floral scent isn’t overpowering. While I don’t find this long lasting or having strong sillage, I still enjoy wearing this, and don’t mind reapplying. I receive many compliments every time I wear this.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

The only puzzling thing to me is how all these reviewers could dislike Heavenly. It makes me wonder if there actually IS a slight reformulation. Heavenly is one of those scents that’s completely inoffensive, light, known for being easy on the sinuses. I’m sitting here a little stunned, coming across adjectives such as “sour”, “pungent”, “plasticky”, “rancid”, even a “man’s armpit”!
    WHAAAAAT….
Get yourself on eBay and buy the hour-glass bottle if you’ve had a bad experience with the new one.
Every man I have worn this around has actually come out and complimented me. They love the vanilla, I think. I have been with my son’s dad for 4 years and this is his favorite. There’s something about this particular scent that is hypnotic to men.
I really enjoy the depth of Heavenly. I love powder, I love vanilla, I love musk, and I definitely appreciate the cardamom here. Cardamom in the our spice cabinet smells powerful and strange, but it contributes a lot to the balance of this fragrance.
EDIT: I did end up trying the new one launched in 2014… man, oh man… they have ruined a legend. If you’re curious, read my full review on the page for the new Heavenly EDP.

ETA: I think a majority of these reviews are about the new formulation, the original isn’t sold at the store anymore from what I’m aware of and never smells like alcohol on first spritz. They shouldn’t have put the same name on THREE different versions. And if you can’t find the original white cap version on Ebay anymore it’s probably my fault.

Nooooope. Way too powdery for my liking. A few months ago I remembered thinking I had really liked this scent from a few years back when my mom had a set of the Dream Angels, I think 2 of the others being Divine and Halo. I don’t know if I remembered incorrectly or my preferences have changed, but now after getting it again (blindly from eBay) I find it really unpleasant. I just wanted to buy something cheaper that I could use on days where I still want to smell good but not waste my more expensive perfumes, but unfortunately I think I’ll be throwing it out since I can’t stand it. It’s a lot less warm and feminine than I like my fragrances to be, which is weird since that’s exactly how I’d imagine a Victoria Secret Angel/Model to smell. It’s definitely “clean and fresh” if that’s what you like, which is what I like a lot of the times too, just with a little bit more warmth to it (and less powder).

  43. :

    4 out of 5

I’m compiling a short list of my favorite ‘cheap and cheerful’ floral fragrances available in the US and Dream Angels Heavenly by Victoria’s Secret is a solid contender. Let’s put this into perspective: DAH is full of the clean, yet salty white musk found in Eau des Merveilles by Hermes. In fact, one could easily mistake DAH for an EdM flanker. Just turn down the woods and salt and add some floral notes—and voila—a well-executed, all-purpose fragrance that transitions from office to evening. Another appealing aspect is that although I wouldn’t call DAH a unisex fragrance, it cautiously leans toward the feminine side, exposing a level of self-awareness not always associated with the brand (i.e., not boobs and candy, boobs and candy).

    You really like this?
    Heavy, sour, vinegar.
    Maybe Angels fart.

  45. :

    4 out of 5

The original Dream Angels Heavenly (the white cap version) is my favorite out of all the Angel versions. It smells very unique with its distinct cardamom note along with the soft woodland musk with a hint of an almost mossy ivy and powdery vanilla. It’s one of those rare concoctions that doesn’t smell like anything else I know of which is quite an accomplishment for a white musk. Another impressive quality is that it doesn’t smell like cotton candy, Vanilla Fields, soap, old lady, rubbing alcohol or bug spray like too many of the other white musks I’ve tried and been disappointed with so I always run back to my Heavenly.
When I had it I wore it a lot at first for about a year or two when it first came out but over the years the last bottle I had lasted forever because it was so popular that I can easily smell it on other people. A coworker from 10 years ago wore what I think was Halo and was very heavy handed with it so it was weird smelling her wearing a flanker of my Heavenly. That’s really when I stopped wearing it every day.
A a few years ago I found a little travel Heavenly and fell in love all over again. When I ran out of that one I had to have another bottle because I weirdly have to have this in my collection now or else I’m not happy. My guess is I’ll probably keep doing that until I can’t find it anymore. I’m committed for the long haul, till death do us part! This beauty definitely deserved its Fifi.

Heavenly is my go-to favorite fragrance for those mid-week days of work, gym and errands. Perfect for the office or luncheons. It’s a lovely blend of flowers, musk and sandalwood that never fails to smell fresh, clean and slightly sexy. Just enough so that is draws attention but never overwhelms. I’ve literally had people stop me in the grocery to ask what I’m wearing! That said I do believe that this scent smells different on many people. I’ve had some friends love it on me, but are disappointed when I tell them what it is since it did not smell the same on them. Heavenly usually lasts about three hours after first spray, so I usually do reapply (there are purse rollers and small sprays to carry). Also really love that there is an entire line of bath products in Dream Angels Heavenly–even a candle! LOVE the lotion (better than the cream in TX heat!)…it’s sheer & lovely. Great year-round scent and a lot of product for the price point!

Nice, light scent. Accept this perfume at face value- powdery and floral with a pinch of sweetness, this perfume is great for the office. It’s conservative. It’s not a complex scent, yet very simple- the powder undertones stay consistent. The dry down is still powder, but with hints of a light musk.
Longevity for me is short, roughly 2 hours. I carry the purse rollerball as a result.

I am getting very angry with this perfume. I have a small sample spray and one day it smells Heavenly (pun intended), another day I smell like I rubbed myself with baby wipes. Some days I smell like a mans armpit! I might buy it if I can get it cheap enough just cause I like it those few days it smells good lol

Ok, some how I ended up with two bottles of this stuff and I hate it. Smells very old to me. Too musky and powdery. It’s floral, after about 2 hours during wear it starts to smell like hairspray. My boyfriend says he likes it and sometimes I end up wearing it but….yuck!

  50. :

It smells nice in the store but after it is applied I smell bug spray or WD40. I thought I had a bad bottle the first time but I’ve tried it again and its just as disgusting.
It is definitely one of those try before you buy scents. Or maybe it only smells good in the store because of all the other perfumes around (?). The fragrance notes in this sound like the type of thing I usually like but for some reason it fails. After all these years I still can’t figure this one out.

Heavenly has changed for me recently and it kind of sucks. The sweetness has sharpened- I suspect from the citrus- and it’s no longer the creamy, vanilla-powder blanket of fluffiness I’m accustomed to obsessing over. Now, for me, it borders on that burnt sugar garbage exemplified a la Pink Sugar. It’s so bizarre how fragrance can change like that. I just want to extract the mandarin and the quince so that maybe it will once again be the perfume I know and love.

This perfume screams utter femininity. It’s lightly powdery without being suffocating, and softly musky without being stuffy. There’s the perfect pinch of sweetness (think powdered sugar) that keeps the scent airy, bright and uplifting. Heavenly indeed.
Perfect for every day wear, especially if you work in close contact with others. Very inoffensive, yet it received lovely compliments when people come close. It’s very sweet-shy-girl-next-door. Longevity is moderate and projection is soft on me, but I can easily reapply this multiple times at work without it being overwhelming.
I used to own this when it first came out and I used it until it was gone. Now I’m a bit disappointed in myself for waiting so long to own this again.
(Huge thanks to 614kristaaa for this one!)
Edit: my review is for the original version. Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but all of these bad reviews are somewhat surprising for scent that is so calm, soft and faint, really. It make me wonder if some of these reviews are for the newer version, or bad old bottles.

I love this perfume, I love the bottle I love everything about this perfume, I agree with people who say it smells “clean” , I think it smells the way a woman should smell like, it smells really feminine and delicate and I love it!This is not overpowering this is just so clean and soft and it kind of reminds me of baby powder in a good way

My cousin use to wear this fragrance, so i ask her “what are you wearing” and she gave me a tiny little sample, very cute by the way, looks like the big bottle with the spray and everything but in a 7.5ml sample. this is sweet and calm! nothing scandalous!

This is kind of a strange one… I definitely didn’t like it at first – it smelt like a bunch of household cleaners to me. Now I like it more, but I definitely DO still get the household-cleanser vibe from it. When it has dried down (Before it dries down it smells like a lemon-plant) it smells a bit like a cotton shirt, washed with perfume-free detergent to me, plus a tiny bit of flowers + something earthy… I think this might be the ivy. I like this mainly because it’s clean and weird to me. It doesn’t make you smell like perfume, just nice and clean.

I wore occasionally this about 5 years back and have about 1/4 left in my bottle so I thought I’d give it a try today.
The opening is too strong, too alcohol. Not that pretty. Within an hour it is light, fresh, simple. Like a nice soft musky cloud hovering around me. A lot of people say it’s powdery – yes, I see that. But not a strong powdery perfume (Kenzo Flower – i’m looking at you!) It’s like a cloud of powder you step into after its mostly disappeared. Let it be know, I LOVE powdery perfumes. A couple of hours later, the vanilla started to show but very very subtely. I think I’ve been wearing such powerhouse vanillas lately that this one is so faint in comparison.
I think I would wear this to bed or to a hospital or around someone who is “sensitive” to perfumes or anyplace where perfumes aren’t allowed! It’s the smell of skin only better which definitely has its place. I like it, but won’t repurchase when its done.

This is kind of your stereotypical “American” perfume (you know, Like Ralph Lauren Romance, Tommy Girl, etc.) in that it’s super clean smelling (kind of like fresh laundry) and vanilla. It’s not incredibly unique or groundbreaking but it is nice all the same. My Mom used to wear this and it smelled wonderful on her. I’d say that this is a nice everyday perfume and a great bedtime one as well. It’s comforting and clean like a soft blanket. It also lasts a long time, even the body mist. One of VS’s best, imo (along with Angel and perhaps Noir.)

This took me some time to like. I didn’t like it at first and it seemed so generic, but I smelled it again recently and
