This has a very nice & realistic dry cedar with a slightly warm musky amber base and a shadowy oud lurking around in the background; definitely one of my top 3 from Smell Bent!

I’m a fan of Smell Bent and the notes listed here are some of my favorite – guaiac wood, vetiver, amber, incense. So I had high expectations that Dr. Dreidel 3000 would become a favorite of mine. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen. It’s very woody, but comes closer to smelling like house cleaner than cologne.

Hey, this is very interesting too me. Who knew that you could get an interesting woody scent from an amber sandalwood base similar to the one in Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. Remove the flowers, keep a part of the sweetness, and a moderate oud aroma and a grassy woody vetiver and you have Dr Dreidel 3000. The woods seems to have different development evaporations, so they kind of work as top and heart notes instead of all being basenotes. Simple but effective.

Woody, deliciously woody. It smells like an intricately carved wooden jewelry box hidden away in a bottom drawer and only taken out for very special occasions. Vetiver is prominent in the opening as well, but the dry down is soft musk, sandalwood, and smoky sweet incense.
Dr. Dreidel 3000 is part of the ‘Winterific!’ line, but it’s more of a Fall scent to me, something I’d wear on a cool autumn night in late September.

I was very lucky to win a full bottle of this from the cafleurebon website, just when I was on a vetiver kick. While this opens full on woods and vetiver, moving to a soft skin scent on me; never gets too masculine. Highly recommended for vetiver fans.

Wood. Soft sweet beautiful wood. Chased by Amber and musk. A beautiful scent for wood lovers. One of the best I’ve tried from smell bent. Two thumbs up.
