Description

After the success of apple-shaped fragrances Be Delicious from 2004 and Red Delicious of 2006, in 2007 Dona Karan has presented Delicious Night in the purple design, which matches the new collection of clothes. It was designed by IFF perfumers and composed as floral-oriental fragrance.

It opens with notes of frosted pomelo, ginger, blackberry, pink freesia and martini. The middle notes bring in night orchid, jasmine and pink iris, while the base reveals amber, frankincense, myrrh extract, patchouli and vetiver.

The bottle is a creation of the Laird&Partners house creators. The fragrance comes as 50ml and 100ml EDP, with matching body care products.

DKNY Delicious Night was launched in 2008. The nose behind this fragrance is Jean-Marc Chaillan.

Wow. Full on blueberry blast with spicy smokiness and incense. Or is it plum? Lovely. Maybe both? I have never smelled anything like this. I bought it based on reviews here. I am loving it. Perfume normally fades fast on me but this has staying power. I got the 100 ml bottle and am so glad I did. This is my new winter scent (and I live in a place with 6 months of cold). My best buy in awhile, perfume-wise.

Oh I like this, but it is intense. I always think of Spencer’s when wearing this. Strong blackberry fruit, then incense, and I think the myrrh is what makes this so interesting. Below all of that is gritty, dirty, sexy scent. I had a ex that just loved this. Jeans and heels kinda scent. I still have original bottle from when in launched and it hasn’t turned yet. A smattering of compliments, others are confused as it’s so different from my normal. Cold weather scent for sure.

This one is a beautiful dark, tart berry. It reminds me a lot of the blueberry jam my mum used to make so this is basically a dark, smoky blueberry to me. It has a fair amount of sweetness to it but it is not one of those easy sickly sweet ones. I decided to wear it on a night out this weekend and got plenty of compliments – bear in mind that this was in a rock/metal venue, which should tell you everything you need to know about the character of this fragrance. 😉

After the initial berry top notes wear off, this becomes primarily a dry incense/patchouli fragrance with a masculine vibe. It’s marketed as kind of a girl’s night out, sparkling scent, but don’t be fooled. It’s more suited for an edgy night in the city when you’re feeling fierce, wearing a leather jacket and dark lipstick. There’s nothing sweet, soft, or cozy about this one.
I like it a lot when I’m ‘in the mood’.
Similar to Midnight Poison by Dior, but MP is a tad sweeter and more traditionally feminine. Both are dry, gothic, dark fragrances.

Hi to all perfume lovers, Could anyone advise something similar, evening scent with dark fruit, ginger and incense, but without the patchouli? I seem to be allergic to it 🙁

One of my more disappointing fragrance experiences, since it started out so promising and ended as a tenacious scrubber.
Initially it’s intriguing and delectable. Blackberry, ginger and incense all make their appearance, and iris softens the edges nicely. There’s the merest hint of the patchouli monster lurking in the background, and the amber is nowhere to be found – for a while.
Within twenty minutes all this changes. An increasingly strident, acrid and masculine patch/amber combo muscles its way to the front, trampling all the other notes in its path. And there it stays, for hours and hours AND HOURS. I’m amazed that some people have longevity problems with this fragrance. Maybe I had an early bottle and the formula was weakened later on?
It’s a cheap perfume and I’m always willing to take a chance with those, since there are gems to be found. For me though this is not one of them, sadly.

I’m trying out my mini of this fragrance today.
The ginger in DKNY Delicious Night truly stands out on my skin, or at least it stands out to my nose. So much so that it immediately reminded me of Versace Crystal Noir, whose ginger zing delights me no end. I’m not sure if the ginger is simply prominent in both fragrances, or if it just stands out to me or on my skin in particular. I’m really loving it in both fragrances. It makes them both wearable even in the daytime for me. It also makes them bright perfumes for a lively evening.
To my nose the two fragrances smell very similar, except that in Delicious Night, the ginger rests on a bed of fruity blackberry instead of the toasted coconut note I get from Crystal Noir. It makes Delicious Night a little juicier and perhaps a tad lighter.
I was disappointed that I could hardly detect the incense, however, which was one of the things that really drew me to try this perfume. I was expecting for it to stand out, especially seeing it so high in the prominent notes list and seeing it mentioned a lot in the earlier reviews. I don’t know if I used too little or if the ginger just really overwhelms everything else for me. I’m still trying to inhale the fragrance right now, but I still couldn’t find the incense, or even the patchouli.
Nevertheless, I’m liking Delicious Night very much, and it may even turn out to be a love. Crystal Noir is among my favorite perfumes, so it’s no surprise that I’m enjoying this one too. Out of the few Delicious flankers I’ve tried, this is by far my favorite.

Delicious Night is a truly surprising perfume! The first few seconds are tart and a bit sharp due to the pomelo up top, but it morphs almost immediately into a genuine balsamic that reminds me of Elizabeth Taylor’s Passion, if lighter and more wearable, eventually gaining a touch of sweetness, equal parts ripe blackberry and smoky incense. I find it very sexy, and definitely unexpectedly chic. Wonderful find!

This is a big yes from me. DKNY created lighter version of a message CH Good Girl wants to send out.
The opening is very fruity and smoky thanks to prominent blackberry and incense. And I appreciate a lot that the sweetness is moderate.
The drydown gets softer and allows floral notes say ‘hello’ as well, but when you would consider to start thinking this can be described as soft and gentle, the vetiver would show you wrong.
I see this perfume suitable for most occasions, even for office. But it would still say “yes, let’s do the formal business, but if you sniff closer, you get the idea what I’m capable of besides work.”
    Warmer, sensual, playful scent.

This is quite sexy and unique. I recently started loving incense in perfumes. However, it’s hard to find something that doesn’t smell too aged or isn’t niche/expensive.
I think the blackberry and incense balance well. The fruity-ness adds youth and wearability. There is definitely a witchy, mystical aura. This is for someone who wants to stand out. At the same time, it’s not obnoxious enough for people to be offended.
The projection and longevity is good. It wears down to something more subtle and closer to the skin after about an hour or two. That’s when it’s most charming and classy. Right now I have a purse spray but it’s a pretty good price so I’m thinking about buying a full-size.

A pleasant surprise blind-buy. I do get the fruity..then smokiness/incense vibe…with the patchouli adding some zing. Short review, and I must say this is “different” and in a good way. I like the tanginess of the dry-down.
7.5/10 rating as of first test. Will be doing a full-wear to further decide on projection/longevity issues.

If you are going to be a witch for Halloween, here is your potion.
I think this and Fancy Nights are my best witch scents.
Dark, smoky, patchouli-resinous and BIG. Like wearing a skin tight black evening gown with big aggressive ruffles and tons of smoky eyeliner. No smiling allowed. You will glower.
But seriously this is really nice. I just think as it is so named this definitely reads ‘night’ at least to me. Smells sort of sexy.
I get a sense of blackberry smothered in resins and smoke. Patchouli is earthy.
If you are looking for a good bold Halloween scent, give Delicious Night a shot.

It is the first night of Spring and while it is still cold, it is slightly warmer than it has been. I hardly reach for this one and on the very rare occasion I do, it is only for a very light spritz during the day time. So I have been wearing it wrong. This scent isn’t called Delicious Night for no reason at all. It is specifically for night use and suited for cooler periods when the climate is not too cold but not too warm. I usually turn my nose as I find it too musky, too spicy, too incensy (if such a word) and while I usually like the dry down phase when it has settled, tonight I found myself inhaling deeply to sniff the initial opening notes. I make out notes that I’ve never picked up before, maybe because I’ve been wearing it at the wrong time. I detect somewhat of a citrus/gingery note, gently rising from beneath the musky, spicy berries that helps to balance it out so it doesn’t become headache inducing. My untrained nose seems to place a slight similarity to Jimmy Choo but it is a lot more intense, more potent. Definitely needs to be applied with a light hand as it can become very overpowering.

Love this scent so much, I have an unopend bottle waiting for when I run out…it’s a very warm, musky, berry, sensual scent in my opinion and very longlasting without being overwhelming for others. My husband doesn’t want me to ever wear anything else. Unfortunately, it is discontinued.

Got this cheap from Chemist warehouse for the 100ml EDP which I think is an awesome buy. If you love your Opium, you are going to most probably like this one. Goes on myself knowing it’s going to turn into something decent by it’s compostition. Forget the big blackberry start (even though i love it in a perfume) but the ginger and amber are very much present and the dry down is gorgeous (it’s autumn here and it’s worked so well on my skin ie irish/english skin) I would say the drydown is a cross between balsamic and incense, with balsamic been the victor. if you love your big perfumes you will love this

I just bought a blind partial of this and I’m fairly happy. I’ll begin though by saying it lasts a very short while, so if you don’t like to reapply through the day, look elsewhere.
Both my OH and I tested this. I knew he wanted it as soon as he smelled it, as he told me it was definitely more a mans scent..
On me: a pleasingly sharp blast of fruit, namely the blackberry and grapefruit, followed by what I could only think of as Agent Provocateur or L’Agent. It does have a dark feel and it smells to me of Rose although it isn’t mentioned and also a hint of cumin.
On him: the sharp top notes seen absent a the mysterious cumin note and the vetiver come to the fore, fairy sweet musk behind.
It doesn’t last on him either but we both enjoyed it.
    I love the bottle.

I’m not a perfume expert. I got a sample of it and I agree with some reviews that it smells so bloody slutty. So filthy almost like a nightclub toilet. I prayed very lightly once but I could still smell it all day! So I’d say it has amazing sillage and lasting power. Not for me though I’m the kind of person who don’t go partying, it just smells so wrong on me.

Mmmmm…yes. Berries and flowers drenched in incense. Ginger adds a sparkly zing. Not too sweet. Only negative is that is doesn’t hang around very long.

Absolutely gorgeous – deep, dark, mysterious blackberry liqueur, with ‘frozen pomelo’ – yum! Seductive and sensual. Very feminine and luxurious. I loooove it!!! Strong and lasts forever! It’s divine!!! And the fantastic bottle! Stunning, the most stunning, mysterious lush vibrant purple!!!! Wow!!!!

I thank my partner as I get out of the car having just sprayed this to freshen up and make my way towards the entrance of the train station where a group of young people stood outside. They looked like they too were getting ready to go somewhere to celebrate the weekend but were not certain if they wanted the next train or the one after.
I was off into London to a rave and was dressed in all black, black skinny jeans, punk leather boots and leather jacket. Almost feeling like Neo’s sidekick in the Matrix movies. I walk past the group of people and walk up to a line which clearly had a sign saying ‘wait behind the line until called forward’ when I noticed this group of young people were now stood close behind me! I could not move further forward until I was called! I threw them a smile as I left them in line once it was my turn and went up to the ticket counter asking politely ‘May I please get a return to London Waterloo’ when the portly gentleman gave me a puzzled look and replied ‘For how many?’
When I turned around they were within inches from my neck quite literally sniffing me and I laughed as I realized they could not even wait in line…. they laughed….
It really was like a scene from a commercial and I have never had more compliments and beautiful experiences with another fragrance.

Really nice blackberry and wine , with mysterious smoke and lightly spiced oriental vibe.

A mysterious, sexy, purple perfume. Evidently the fallout from what appears to be a nuclear explosion of dark and intoxicating berries. Delicious Night almost feels like an oriental but it’s more blackberry wine and smoke; I bought this on a whim and am delighted by how safe and innocuous it smells, it’s certainly “dark” and alluring but not menacing in any way.
DN’s notes are straightforward and simple; this is a fragrance with all its features laid bare and palpable. The opening is rich with blackberries and ginger; it would have been very sweet if not for the advent of heavy incense that anchors these notes together. Patchouli and myrrh are slowly phased in but their presence is very subtle, I can smell orchids in the background and a little amber for warmth. I could definitely pick up vetivers in the dry down; it conjures feelings of dark and mysterious woods, almost like a magical forest. I absolutely love how balanced everything is, the incense and berries are almost intoxicating on my skin.
For some reason Delicious Night would be a great initiative into the world of orientals, it certainly veers into the mainstream but still retains enough individuality to feel unique. This fragrance smells private and enigmatic, like a dirty secret or naughty thought.
Overall I can easily say that Night is my favorite of the DKNY Delicious line, it’s incredibly purple and incredibly smoking hot.

I just bought this as a blind buy and I’m glad to say that it was a good one this time. The first thought I had when I sprayed it was Midnight Poison. It’s not the same but similar. MP is a bit sweeter this is dark and smokey. But it did remind me of MP. You don’t need to use much either. I sprayed my wrist …just a little squirt and you could smell it about a foot away. Although it does calm down quickly. Anyway, I’m glad I got it. Thanks for all the reviews that helped bring us together.

This scent is deep, dark and mysterious, there are so many layers of depth here, it is very unlike the other Dkny flankers. This smells like blackberry wine and church incense. Very resinous. Beautiful!

  25. :

    3 out of 5

It’s odd that there are no wood notes in the pyramid for this because it really does open with smoky woods. But it’s not bonfire smoky, it’s resinous incense, myrrh and amber. The blackberry note is a thick liqueur, the sort you need only sniff to feel tipsy. It’s a swooning wash of fragrance as it opens and envelops you. As it wears, it lightens, the smoke thins and the ginger and patchouli become more noticeable. The flowers start to become more noticeable, the iris cuts through more brightly, the Jasmine is quite creamy. The pomelo has been there in brief flashes before but now it is clearer, although I think it has actually been added for the bright boost it gives to the flowers.
I think the packaging for this is wrong. It shouldn’t be a city skyline, this is a deep forest, where you’ve woken from a dream. There’s a bottle in your hand, the last drops of some mysterious potion and you are surrounded by the trees and dense, swirling fog. The emergence of other notes is like the wind stirring away the mists, letting you slowly find your way back home. It’s a perfect fairy tale scent but for the traditional Dark tales, not the modern, Disneyfied versions.

I haven’t tried any of the other DKNY “apples”. The marketing appears to be targeted at a younger consumer, for which reason they simply haven’t appealed to me.
Having read Delicious Night’s notes, I decided to blind buy based on reviews – and won a 100ml partially used bottle on eBay for just under £18 GBP (including P&P) from a private seller. To me, that’s not a lot of money to lose if it’s a disaster.
I have no idea how old this bottle is, but I can guarantee it hasn’t turned; the fragrance is gorgeous. To describe it as a “fruitchouli” would be doing it the gravest disservice.
I am not sure why blackberry has been voted as the most dominant note; it certainly isn’t in the bottle I have. Every year, my husband picks pounds and pounds of wild blackberries (we call them brambles in the UK) and makes the best bramble jam I have ever tasted. I know what blackberries smell like, both fresh and cooked – and they are NOT the most prominent smell in DN; there is the slightest hint of natural sweetness to the fragrance.
Edit: The first time I tested this was in the summer when it was hot and humid; I couldn’t get the smell of blackberries lots of people had highlighted as being the most intensive note. It’s now November and it has become very chilly very quickly in the south-east of England and I have the window open and the radiator off overnight in my bedroom. I sprayed this fragrance on the dress I was intending to wear the next day. Weirdly, I COULD smell blackberries very strongly when I smelled my clothing in the morning, before getting dressed. Very odd – as a top note I would have expected it to fade a lot some eight hours or so after spraying. The other thing is that a colleague commented on how lovely the scent was – she thought it smelled quite masculine on me – so maybe this could be worn by a man. I still love it.
The prominent notes on my skin are rich woody/floral – warm, woody spices from the ginger, myrrh, amber, vetiver and incense. These are intermingled with freesia and creamy jasmine (one of my favourites) and slightly powdery notes from the iris. The patchouli is not a “hippy” one, but soft and subtle.
This is definitely not a young girl’s scent (in my opinion) and smells nothing like the currently fashionable perfumes. This is a beautifully blended, timeless, expensive-smelling and classy fragrance. I love it, despite the ugly bottle with its nasty plastic top. It is definitely a dark, “purple” scent.
The sillage is initially heavy, but moderates within 30 minutes. I’ll update on the longevity later, but I suspect it’s going to be very long on clothing.
Edit: I have Donna Karan’s Black Cashmere which is sadly discontinued, now expensive and hard to source (in the UK, at least), which has base notes of patchouli and amber – I have just tried layering this with DN and the two together take the fragrance into the sublime.
Update: Longevity is very good – easily 12+ hours on clothing and 7 hours on skin (although it is very much a skin scent by then).

I receive many compliments when I wear this. Sultry blackberry wine with spicy oriental notes. Great for evening. And what’s not to love about the dark amethyst glass bottle?

I used to wear Yves Rocher Yria in high school for some reason and this took me RIGHT back. Very unexpected. This is however younger and fruitier than I remember Yria being. It reminds me of some other Yves Rocher scent as well, probably from the Ode series. I don’t care for the other DKNY apples at all, but this is awesome. Fruity yet smoky, slightly sweet, sensual, dark. I certainly approve.

I blind bought this for a steal, and it’s okay.
I’m into sweet over-the-top foodie gourmands, but I like spicy dark sweeties too… and I was def curious about this dark Delicious scent… being that DKNY Delicious perfumes are average at best. (and are never sweet enough for me)
This is exactly what I expected, for the most part. It smells like dark berries and church. And lasts a long time, but has this musky dark kinda-generic smell. Def for night, colder weather, etc… It’s unique to my collection, but also lacks real pizazz/character.
I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it. I’m still glad to have it for when the mood strikes me to wear something dark, kinda juicy, and full of frankincense/myrrh. I prefer the Lolita Lempicka Midnights for those notes, however.
A safe blind buy IF you know what you are going to smell, meaning you LOVE those notes. It is a tiny bit masculine, but not MANLY… just not girlie.

Love at first smell. I would describe DKNY Night as sexy and sultry. I can definitely smell the patchouli mixed with some smoky sweetness. Great silage and longevity. I would characterize this perfume in the same style as Gucci Guilty.

Delicious Night was a hit for me the second I sniffed it a few years ago. I finally bought it online this month and it does not disappoint.
Why? Because its juicy, earthy, sexiness isn’t something that should be reserved for evenings, fall, and winter. It’s nearly 80 degrees and late April and still begs to be worn. Sprayed lightly for day, it’s divine. At night, it blooms and lures all. It can’t wait for June and July when it will spill its luscious pickings and waft through the heated air like it should.
Edit: It’s mid-November 2017. Yesterday I noted this scent lasted all day, with soft to moderate sillage and the drydown was purely deep and sultry base notes, mainly vetiver and incense, like the scent of a man’s dress shirt—the one I might wear to the bathroom early in the morning…

This deeply, fruity juice is nothing less than the heady scent of my favorite blackberry Manischewitz wine with a hint of smoky myrrh. I’ve never been overly impressed by any of the DKNY apples. However, this is absolutely delicious and incredibly sexy! Sillage is very strong at first but softens to a smoky skinscent. Longevity is minimal; no more than 4 hours at most but that’s just fine with me.
This is the perfect scent to wear to an anniversary dinner at a fancy restaurant or to a Passover seder. (Again with the Manischewitz reference. How fitting that I’m wearing this beauty while watching Cecil B. deMille’s Ten Commandments)! My heartfelt thanks to Bloodlust for a gorgeous swap!

Ladies and gentlemen, I have been looking for this perfume for years! Never once did I suspect it might be lurking amongst the DKNY Apples! To be honest, I haven’t tried any of them, because, hell, where do you even start?
This is the type of opulent, sultry incense I love. Reviewers who said they got a sense of red or mulled wine are absolutely spot on. Juicy blackberries, a little tickle of ginger, and a smooth rich patch and amber combo make this a heady, intoxicating brew. I personally don’t find it particularly masculine, though DAMN, I’d like to smell it on a man! This is a very sexy, come hither fume and I LOVE it. Holy smoke indeed.

Got as a blind buy, and so happy i did! For once, blind buying worked in my favour! It’s amazing!! It’s fruity but dark and deep, not your average scent. Even my daughter loved it, and she’s only ever liked one other perfume in her life, so this must be good if it has her approval, believe me!!
It’s a very sexy perfume imo, definitely best for night time, i find it so hard to describe as it’s one of those scents that seems to hit you with all the notes at once, though it does dry down to an intoxicating smooth sandalwood type blend eventually, even though it’s not listed… think that must be the myrhh and amber combo.
Sillage is great, i sprayed some on daughter and i could smell it so strongly on her from a few feet away, and longevity isn’t too bad, it’s still going strong around five hours later, though the fruitiness has disappeared now.
Fast becoming a favourite of mine, i love it so, so much, and my only complaint is i wish i could smell the blackberry to the very end… other than that, it’s heaven!!

I’m wearing Delicious Night today for the first time in quite a while. It really is absolutely fantastic! It’s got amazing potency as well. I smell SO CHRISTMASSY! Be Delicious, an extremely popular perfume which spawned what seems to be a million flankers since the original, is a chemical cucumber and apple mess and so are it’s flankers. Delicious Night is one of the only of many flankers that I actually like from this line. I feel it should have never been released under the “Be Delicious” line because it resembles absolutely none of the others. I think if it was released as it’s own stand alone fragrance with no affiliation to Be Delicious it would have seen better sales and popularity. But no, it’s discontinued instead.
Delicious Night is a sexy dark oriental with blackberry as it’s central theme. It is the antithesis of Be Delicious & Friends apple fresh sweetness. For that reason I suspect Be Delicious lovers were disappointed with Delicious Night because they would have been expecting DKNY’s usual Febreeze-on-steroids BS but got an actual perfume instead. Am I bitter much? Yes. Perfume brands shouldn’t release perfumes as flankers if they don’t resemble in any way the original fragrance.
Anyways, Delicious Night is spicy, dry, and reminds me for some reason of red wine. Heavy on incense and resins, cuts through the tart sweetness of the blackberry note. There is also sharp citrus & ginger to lighten it somewhat. Great nighttime going out scent. The biggest problem of it is that the lasting power is about 2-3 hours. Very short despite it’s big loud opening. Seriously, where does it go?

I got this in a blind swap, and I’m really glad I did!
At first, the opening was very dark-berries-and-mulled-wine. Someone mentioned mulberry wine, which I am not familiar with, but maybe this is what I’m trying to describe? Anyway, berries steeping in what feels like lightly spiced red wine.
Later on I get jasmine and incense, frankincense and spicy vanilla. Yes, the vanilla is prominent to me, even though it’s not listed as a note. There’s also a very light berry undertone.
The drydown is fruity yet spicy vanilla and ligt berries, and incense. The incense in Delicious night is polite. Discernible as such, but still not too smoky or dark. Frankincense is really closer to the smell I get. There’s sweetness in this scent, not overpowering mind you.
Longevity is not good. I sprayed my arm at 3 and now, at 7, I can only smell it if I put my nose on my skin. So, not good.
DKNY Delivious night bears some resemblance to the original Dior Addict, and I can see I am not the only one to catch on this. It’s the boozy spicy vanilla cum jasmine that does it, I think. Only, compared to the sexy vavavoom of Dior Addict, Delcious night is but a kitten!
I think this would great not only in the winter, but also as an evening scent in the summer.

This is one of the few blackberry fruity perfumes that i like. It’s not at all cough syrupy. The only berry or black current frags that i like i own because i really like them or else i’ve tried them and they are on my hate list. This is a near love.
The incense in here makes me feel like crisp fall leaves are burning in the bonfire circled by friends and loved ones late at night. Ginger is another note i usually have a hard time with but it goes well with the berry, amber, myrrh, vanilla, resins and smoke. A tiny touch of powder rounds it out. It’s exciting but i find it suitable wearing to outside occasions on autumn evenings.
This is the first Be Delicious scent that i have ever sprayed on myself because i know it’s one of the few that do not accentuate apple. I ended up owning a large bottle. I never had interest smelling like apple because it seemed too familiar smelling the Be Delicious line on everyone around me in the early 2000’s. This one impresses me,especially for this season.
I first sample sprayed a sheet of paper and left it in the garage in the humid midst of summer and the garage smelled intensely wonderful for 8 days. Although it seems strong, the longevity on my skin is around four hours and it’s completely gone. That’s fine with me because for the late late evening softer scents usually appeal to me when it’s time to get some shut eye.

Oh my gosh, this one works really! I think it’s best of course for the night and in the autumn time. It is a bit mysterious perfume.

This fruit compote teeters on the edge of being too sweet for me but it never tips over as the base notes keep it tethered. It is great to find a grown up, sultry, night time, berry scent.
    Edit: 8/10/15 ..Eeww fruitchouli-chouli bomb tonight and I don’t understand why !?

Opens very “cold” and woody, but quickly warms up to reveal the ginger, berries, and florals. Incense is present, but doesn’t overwhelm. Never gets too sweet, which was a nice surprise. Although I enjoy it, I find myself wishing it had something more to round it out and give it even more punch. Overall feeling is like a cross between the original Poison and Midnight Poison, but much more subtle. While it’s not a total love for me, it has some black magic qualities that keeps me coming back for more…

Strong and masculine perfume. It reminds me of an old perfume one of my uncles used to wear…

When I bought it back in 2009 i liked it very much but soon i got tired of it. Deffinitely not a day scent, neither for the spring/summer nights. I think that after some time what bothered me was the very strong presence of the incense (at least on me,although i really like it on perfumes). I still have some left but i use it as air-freshener!

Very simply a delight to the senses … too strong for day but great for night.

It is quite sweet and a night time perfume. I loved it in the department store and it was on my wish list for Christmas many years ago. But once I had it, I got tired of it. I think that DKNY did better in other delicious versions.

This is one of the better dark, smoky berry scents I’ve tried, surprisingly. The patchouli/fruit combo doesn’t turn cloying like it does in so many other scents, but it’s still deep and warm, with a bit of the headiness lifted thanks to the incense and ginger. It’s dangerously close to “jammy” territory, which is something I don’t enjoy, but it does seem to avoid that on the whole. This is what I was hoping Kat Von D’s Sinner and Poetica would be like. I don’t like this enough for a full bottle, as I have yet to find the perfect dark and smoky fruit/berry scent, and the longevity and sillage on this one are only okay. Still, if you’re in the search for your dark fruity smell, definitely try this, and try it more than once. I was put off by it the first time because of its nearly-jammy nature, but wearing it a few times has made me like it more.

Cough, cough, this is very powerful. Oops!
Spicy, fruity citrus gives way to sweet, flowery insence. Deep, dark amber notes are topped with the sharp, smoky blackberry. This is a very dense fragrance with huge projection and strength. I am enjoying it now it has calmed down (not calmed down massively mind you) This is definitely a sultry night perfume.

So excited … Sixteen days till Santa Claus brings me this! A rediscovered gem.
Got it. Love it. It’s a rich, dark, plummy jam with liquorice. Spicey and warm. quite a unique scent.
    …..
It’s now a month since I got this perfume, and I just have to say how gorgeous it is. I
