Description

With the newest fragrance, DKNY Be Tempted launching in September 2016, Donna Karan continues the theme of the DKNY Be Delicious collection. The original from 2004 is fresh and energetic, DKNY Be Desired from 2015 is brash and modern, while the new DKNY Be Tempted promises to be seductive and sexy.

DKNY Be Tempted represents a juicy and tempting red apple. It is conceived as a luminous, exciting and alluring evening fragrance of oriental – gourmand character. It opens with juicy and intoxicating notes of black currant bud, lemon, devil licorice accord and red fruit. The heart represents femininity and passion captured by rose essential oil, violet and orange blossom. Exotic Indonesian patchouli oil in the base blends with vanilla cream and oriental myrrh resin.

The glass bottle is oval, colored in red. The upper metal part is also red, decorated with a relief of a snake that winds around the stopper. The fragrance is available as a 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

It’s finally cooling down here, and I find myself reaching for the sweeter, heavier perfumes in my collection–and Be Tempted definitely fits the bill. While it’s definitely sweet, it’s not candy-apple sweet; it’s a little deeper than that, a little more interesting. That said, it’s not a true “apple” perfume. Red berries all the way, but I’m happy about that. There is a little apple that comes through on me, perhaps after a hour or two of wear, that tempers the sweetness a bit. Longevity isn’t fab. I get approx. 4-6 hours out of four sprays. I wasn’t really expecting more than that, though, so I’m not terribly disappointed.
    Overall: light, unintimidating, approachable, sweet.

This is not like any other of the apples that I have tried! It’s gorgeous! Yum! Sweet, and a bit
    Mysterious from Myrrh!❤️
    Red apple goodness!

Powdery, heavy, it doesnt calm down, its too much. But if you like the smell it has a good lasting power.

Lovely top notes of red apples. However, they quickly fade into musk. I know musk isn’t listed as a note in this, but trust me, it gets musky. This would be an appropriate scent for a sultry date, but wouldn’t get much wear from me at any other time. It’s too strong and gives me a headache.

Ooooh I am liking this one so far.
It’s not any kind of revelation, mind you, but still.
First spritz is mainly red berries, though to me it smells just like German sour cherry cake… tart berry filling with lots of vanilla crumbles on top.
Once the berries calm down a bit on me it becomes such a nice soft concoction myrrh, rose, patchouli, vanilla, green apple and berries, appropriate for everyday wear.
If i hadn’t read here that licorice is one of the notes I most likely wouldn’t have guessed it. Same goes for the citrus and floral notes.
It lasts decently enough on me, but despite it being among the stronger ones of the DKNY be delicious perfumes, I still fear it’s most likely too weak to make itself known once I return from moderate German weather to the humid and hot extreme weather of Mumbai.
Anyway, for now I really enjoy it from first spritz all the way to how it develops on me over the day.
    Nice one.

A hidden treasure. Very well balanced! The opening smells like those strawberry shaped lipsticks from the 80’s! After a little while, you can smell the nice base of myrrh-vanilla-patchouli mixed with orange flower and the top is all about synthetic red fruit notes. Very good job!

At the moment I’m often sniffing and testing fruity scents in stores. While I love to wear my warm winter perfumes, I miss summer, and smelling fruity fragrances can help me to escape the winter gloom for a moment.
Be Tempted is one of those fruity fragrances. It smells like an intense cocktail of berries, mainly raspberry, red apple and a splash of citrus. So summery and uplifting. The floral notes are very restrained, but I think I get a tiny hint of rose. Overall, this smells very red to me, so the bottle color fits the scent perfectly.
The scent is anchored with sweet vanilla and the patchouli and licorice notes give it a darker, heavier background note. I think this is balanced nicely, with exactly the right amount of these notes: Be Tempted has a stronger and denser base than a typical light summer fragrance (and most scents from the DKNY apple line), but does not enter fruitchouli or vanilla gourmand territory. It just stays intensely fruity for a long time.
I’m usually not a huge fan of the DKNY apples, I find many of them a bit boring and redundant, but this is a good one.

I love this but it just doesn’t last on me. I can hardly smell it after half an hour. It smells like lychee and red berries. Would be one of my favourites if it lasted longer but I won’t buy it again because of this.

I like the bottle, it’s very Jeff Koons, and I like the opening for about thirty seconds, it’s very sweet and sticky, almost toffee-like but then it becomes very synthetic. It turns into a fruity berry fake apple miasma. The notes sound really good but it turns nasty, like cheap kiddies chewy sweets or picknmix. I have yet to find a DKNY I like :/

I just randomly tried this in a store, I liked the opening of it, very sweet and fruity. However I ended up really disliking the drydown, on me all I could smell was rose and patchouli, with licorice in the background. These are unfortunately 3 of my least favourite scents, so obviously this perfume wasn’t really going to work for me! If those notes are your thing, definitely give this a go, the sillage was really good on me and I could smell it for hours.

I like this perfume. The opening is fruity, sweet and warm but light. This is a nice combination. The red berries, apple and vanilla notes go well together. The licorice is not too strong and the patchouli is subtile. It does become a little flat after it dries down. This happens with many DKNY fragrances when I wear them. They often remind me of body splashes. This would be a very wearable perfume during a casual fall day.

Es muy similar a muchos perfumes … nada del otro mundo … frutal veraniego

This is LVEB minus the sticky sweet praline note and I so appreciate it! A nice addition to the fruitchouli family that someone like me who can’t stand patchouli can actually wear and enjoy!

I don’t understand why the negative reviews!!
this is by far one of the very few “well done” DKNY apple perfumes!!
the bright red color of the bottle is amazing & it does have red apple notes in it ,,NOT green as listed
Berries are introduced in the first spray then settles down
there is a very faaaaaaaaaar away echo of black opium & la vie est belle in it , probably the patchouli
overall its nice fruity scent, kindda like a body mist
    9/10

“DKNY Be Tempted promises to be seductive and sexy”: yeah… no. No seductive, no alluring, no tempting. Maybe luminous and exciting. Flirty and exciting most definitely, as all Donna Karan apple-perfumes.
“oriental – gourmand character”: gourmand non gourmand as I call such perfumes. Sweet with a boozy drydown. Not really oriental.
There is some darkness and depth to it, mainly because of the patchouli and myrrh. But we are not talking about any serious patch in here or myrrh, so they who hate a realistic patch, but like sort of a deeper fruity scent, this will do. Do not rely on the floral heart of the perfume; not prominent enough and doesn’t really add any floral twist.
Raspberry-ish, grapey berries. Fruity indeed, close relative to Mon Paris Yves Saint Laurent. Linear and candyish; caramely in fact, it could be the licorice. Quite dense which is surprising, could be the myrrh Gets softer and softer until total disappearance from the skin.
It reminds me of La vie EST belle quite a lot. It is one of the scents that I would call mish mash gourmand, like: “there, we’ve thrown some fruity notes here and there with a safe base and so we created a modern gourmand, just how you like it, right? You should like it girly girl customer, just how you liked Si by Armani and LVEB by Lancome”, well they are the ones who might like it.
Maybe I’ll layer it. But for now it’s a no.

Tried it on my way out the store, and honestly it isn’t bad, it is simply very fruity, so youngish in a way,..the base seems to be more grown up, but this isn’t anything I need for myself..but to gift someone who loves fruity perfumes, with an apple undertone, why not!! At least it isn’t synthetic smelling..i see nothing wrong with it, it smells nice.

Generally not offensive, really light teenage type fragrance. For some reason it made me a little nauseous. I’ve been generally dissapointed with the entire DKNY be delicious line, and it was such a great idea in theory. All the DKNY be delicious fragrances are made from lab produced synthetics, like the kind that makes gain mango tango laundry detergent smell so fruity.

I’ve been waiting to be able to try this, the notes are right up my alley, I am so disappointed!I sprayed a pretty good amount (I even thought I may have over sprayed) and I got a bit of lemon and nothing else. I kept sniffing my wrist and there was nothing. What I was able to smell lasted about five minutes, literally. Glad I tested first because I can’t see wasting money on it. Very very sad.

What a unique scent. It lasted about 6 hours on my wrist. Smells like delicious summer getaway. Will purchase once I run out of my Juicy <3

Very sweet, juicy and delicious. Flirty and girly, however the longevity is really dreadful.

Nothing like Lolita Lempicka thank goodness, as I couldn’t stand that- way too green for my taste. But this… wow!
It’s not a love, but it is a massive like. It’s all red berries and patchouli on me, with a hint of apple and liquorice in the background.
It’s sharp but soft at the same time, which confuses me slightly… how can it be both? I can barely smell the rose or violet, which for me is great as i’m not really that much of a violet fan.
If you’ve been put off in the past by all the apple smelling flankers, this one will surprise you, it’s all berry, berry, berry! Not sure I like it enough to buy a fb as I have a few scents that smell fairly similar. It’s not groundbreaking, but very pleasant, nothing to really dislike about it.

  22. :

boring, too light, chesp smelling, nothing. longevity 10min, really. this is the worst DKNY apple ever. time to stop with DKNY apples!!!

  23. :

Smells of sweets to me. Of sweet fruity syrupy sweets. I’m not really impressed by this I get no patchouli or vanilla or any other complexity of notes. The scent is really weak and smells of red fruity sweets. It is balmy scent on my skin and lasts approximately 20 minutes before vanishing. I don’t really like it, it’s not bad just boring and uninspiring smells like a bad celebrity fragrance flanker.
    Packaging-5/10
    Scent-4/10 (generous)
    Lasting power-3/10
    Projection-3/10

I think it’s not candy or girly but somehow suitable for all woman who want to feel attractive. ( even my 4 year old loves this one, and on her skin very different development than on mine 😉 on her it’s more rosy and vanilla..)
I tested it myself and it’s a patchoulli scent on my skin. Very noticable and a bit seductive ( I think) as the red colour also presents.
On me the opening is very lemon, red berries, patchoulli
Middle: a bit rose, orange blossom, patchoulli
    End: patchoulli, vanilla
8/10 , stays very long on my skin. Even next day still noticable.

Great scent, romantic, bitter-sweet, with some Laura Biagiotti vibe! First so sophisticated DKNY “Apple” scent I’ve smelled, non-banal, deep, long-lasting, amazing surprise in this range AT LAST!!!

  26. :

    Honestly, this is horrific!
My first impression was OMG What is this???
So synthetic smelling overly sweet, over-done scent.
All together at once: rose, patchouli, synthetic vanilla and berry notes and licorice.
This is by far the worst of Donna Karan’s scents.

  27. :

Very sweet apple. If you like a big dose of licorice, try it. Otherwise you might find it too sugary.

I sampled this today at Ulta. It is exactly the type of fragrance I’ve been looking for. It smells so deliciously sweet and fruity when you first spray it. Later it dies down to a warm, vanilla gourmand scent that smells amazing. It’s not overbearing nor sickeningly sweet.

  29. :

    4 out of 5

It smells beautiful for the first few minutes but now I cannot smell the sweet opening, just the woody leftovers. It is a bit like those Juicy Fruit chewing gums we all used to love and then spit out after 15 minutes when the taste had gone.

I’m really excited for this one! I’m. hoping it will be like Lolita, but without that first blast of green bitterness. I love the dry down on Lolita, the violets are lovely.

It sounds interesting to me but also like it could be similar to lolita. I do love my licorice fragrances. Licorice, patch, vanilla, roses….. it looks completely different than dkny other scents. Has anyone tried this yet?

  33. :

Please don’t let it be like Lolita, 🙁
Nothing is wrong with the snake!!!!
It’s not like an ugly anaconda is dropping saliva on the bottle.
It just faintly SYMBOLIZES a snake, AND the bottle is simply COOL.
    My god, RELAX!

  34. :

Best bottle yet I think, beautiful red with the snake, I didn’t notice at first until I read it that it was a snake. Very pretty indeed. I hope Roberto Cavalli doesn’t want to sue them like they did with Trouble by Boucheron for using the snake motif.

Another flanker of Be Delicious! How many are there them already? I summarized once that there are over 50. It is so boring. Why don’t they make completely new releases? This madness has to stop!
