Very impressive fragrance . Definitely for the night time. The composition is quiet surprising with sweet and bitter notes, well blended, creating a masterpiece .Sultry, animalic and commands attention!!Unforgettable and exceptional.Super strong with insane lasting power(lasts until the next day or even longer). Thierry Wasser knows how seduction smells like.
    Boner in a bottle. 10/10

I think all fragrances depend on skin chemistry. When I wear this my skin magnifies the vanilla. That’s why it works for me. I think if the sandalwood were magnified on me it wouldn’t work as well.

No, you are not the only one whom this does not work for (this is intended for Gail14 and a couple of other reviewers before me, just below).
This is not for me either. I get far too much sharp spices, sandalwood and “old roses”. Then there is almost no vanilla or anything else that would balance the dark notes sufficinetly for me. Unfortunately.
In this same kind of category I prefer Black Opium, Armani Code and Lancome Hypnose (even though the latter might be a bit more lighter than other scents mentioned) so much more over this.
But if you like your dark scents with a lot of spices and sandalwood and can also handle the rose in this one, then this might just be your scent.

Too much sandalwood…It overwhelms the whole fragrance so that you can barely detect any other notes. I usually love it but in moderation. It’s too much here. Actually, I can smell Bulgarian rose and some vanilla too, but they are hidden under the tonnes of sandalwood.Definitely a night/evening scent, more suitable for colder days.

I wanted to like this… but the sandalwood is just too overpowering and somewhat sharp on me. It smells like a very masculine perfume, – which doesn’t have to be a bad thing, however, when it’s this sharp and prominent – it’s just way too much of the good stuff. I wish it would have been softer, perhaps even drop the sandalwood, – making it more creamy and yummy.

Am I the only one this does not work for? I’ve tried this several times and just can’t stand it on my skin. It’s very, very loud and sharp.:(

I owned a bottle of Addict EDP a few years ago . It was a long lasting bomb of a scent . Today I went to Dillard’s and tested the latest version. I am in shock .
I can understand Dior taming the scent , but there is NO excuse for charging $140. For a EDP that does not last on skin more than two hours.I am so glad I sampled a waited before pulling out my checkbook . Sad, but I am learning a hard lesson : don’t assume that a bottle of EXPENSIVE perfume from a famed house will perform any better than a cheap celebrity fragrance.
I am so thankful for the reviews at fragrantica ! I have learned to read the reviews , then sample a perfume and wait several hours before buying .
It is hard to believe that Dior would make such a poor performing perfume and charge
$140 a bottle. Try before you buy is my new motto .
Worse than the loss of a great perfume is my loss of respect and confidence in the name of Dior .

I normally LOVE Dior perfumes. I blind purchased the biggest bottle of this from a dept. store and I HATE it. It is the worst perfume in my collection. Looking at the notes, I should love it. I don’t know what it is but I get nothing more than a strong smell of plastic. It is gross to my nose. I will never wear this. I see that many people love this. If anyone wants to trade for a large bottle, please let me know. Anything would work for me more so than this one.

Quick impressions from a test spray at the Dior counter: I haven’t consciously smelled the original formulation, though it smells very familiar so it’s possible I have unknowingly smelled this before. Since I am not sure, my impressions are based on the current Addict EDP on its own merit.
My, do I love this! Rich and creamy vanilla with an almond-y tonka, so delicious! Hints of sandalwood and blackberry, a touch of smokiness, when I press my nose close to my skin. I can’t stop smelling the back of my hand!
And for a reformulation, this has pretty good sillage. One spray on the back of my hand and the delightful scent wafts around me — is still wafting around me a couple of hours later. It has totally eclipsed the scent I am wearing today. For the tropical climate in my country, this formulation might be more wearable if the original is a bomb. BUT. I really, really want to try the original some day! If I find this so pleasing, what a delight the original must be!

this perfume is a huge vanilla and tonka bomb. some sandalwood hiding behind. blimey it’s potent. no surprise everyone was up in arms when it was “watered down” in a reformulation.
but today, I have been walking to the shops in a very windy storm and it was still clinging to my aura and making me self-conscious. my house smells of it. i did one teensy squirt!
it is not the same, but I must add that this reminds me of Vanille Insensee and it is the same vanilla as that in the vintage Hypnotic Poison I have.
i recommend this to vanilla lovers who like to be noticed and to smell like pudding.
it could possibly be the strongest vanilla tonka on the planet?

Bought a small bottle of this in 2004 after I got my first “real” grown-up job. Boy is this a powerhouse! So spicy and rich and potent. Deep thick vanilla smoke with bourbon. My bottle is now 14 years old, still 90% full, and still smells amazing. It’s just so strong and dare I say almost a touch masculine on me, and that’s why I don’t reach for it more often. But they sure don’t make ’em like this anymore! 🙁

For some reason this smell only vanilla on me… a little diappointed. Maybe a total crash with my body chemistry.

There are no words that could properly describe this timeless classic. It’s iconic, dangerous, smoky, sensual, dark…In my opinion the best ever vanilla used in a fragrance.Absolutely unforgettable, nighttime knockout.Reformulation was a big mistake, but it still has that outstanding longevity and sillage.I’m addicted to you, legendary Addict!

I adore this vanilla, orange flower, Tonka Bean creamy deliciousness. Powerful spillage and it lasts! However, I’m going to have to stop wearing it as strange men keep approaching me to ask ‘what are you wearing? You smell gooooood’ Maybe best to keep this one for those special occasions 😉

I’ll preface this by admitting that I don’t know which formulation I have because I bought a 5ml tester. The colour is deep reddish amber, if that helps.
This morning I applied one spray to the neck, one to the navel and one to the wrists, and phoowee! this mother can project. Christ on a bike, my sinuses were about blown after the first half hour.
Deep, true, culinary vanilla, like the pod was freshly scraped clean – and who doesn’t like that? But then something boozy, like spiced rum, alongside – also very pleasant. Only, what’s this head-filling, overwhelming floral something? The potency was such I washed my wrists clean so as not to slay my fellow train travellers dead on first contact. One spray, not three, would have been enough. Wowzer.
Throughout the day she has tamed a little, but the notes haven’t evolved much. Addict is monotonal, much like Alien, but with vanilla instead of jasmine. It’s a strong love for me, but not something I would wear a lot or it might become quickly dull… I will definitely use up my tester, but I can’t see myself ever buying more than the smallest bottle of this. I’d need to be in the mood, otherwise it could become quite thick, cloying and claustrophobic. On the right day, this is a warm, sultry beast of a vanilla. Addictive, indeed.
P.S. I just found out this is a Thierry Wasser, the nose behind most of my most treasured scents. Bravo, Monsieur!

For some reason this perfume did nothing for me… i tested it in the store, the lady spritzed two times on my arm. Until i got home, the scent almost faded away and left behind a hint of vanilla pudding. Seriously?

  19. :

This is a perfume which is not me. I won’t buy it, and won’t wear it except occasionally just to test it. But I admire it very much, it’s so incredibly balanced, characterful. The creaminess and spicy-ness all together, the vanilla done so so well. A classic, timeless. Not me but fantastic nonetheless. The only modern Dior I really like.

  20. :

I have been wearing this for years, and I still enjoy it as much now as when I first discovered it. There are layers to this perfume, that tells a beautiful story. The dry down is soft, sweet, and a tad sultry. Vanilla, spices, and something extra. I actually prefer this on dirty skin, I enjoy the transitions better if I haven’t just showered. Think… I am going out after work and resprayed, rather than I haven’t showered for a week. With the projection and silage of this you might be able to get away with the latter. I do rotate this quite a bit, do become nose blind to it, if worn daily. Not going to be for everyone. A coworker used to wear this as well, and I couldn’t recognize it on her. Definitely recommend trying it before buying.

My aunt used to wear it when I was really young and I still remember the way it made me feel. I was so in love with the smell that I promised myself I would buy it the moment I could afford it.And I did. Have owned it ever since . Addict the original version is the one that stands out in the pool of so many fragrances by so many designers. It smells fresh and magical and it could be won day and night all year around.
    for me 10/10

Well damn! This is a silage bomb! and i mean that in the BEST way
I won a 50ml bottle of this on ebay, with about 20ml missing. The seller tried her hardest to pack it well but it still leaked everywhere and i could smell it before i even opened the parcel.
I sprayed the TINIEST little bit on the back of my handand the liquid was dark red in color and once dry, left an oily residue because rhe perfume oil concentrate is that high.
Its the same IMO as the 2014 version, just more intense and with more spice; theres cinnamon and maybe..nutmeg? to my nose.
That sweet nutty tonka bean that i loveso much is there in force. I’ve only just received it so i cant speak for longevity yet but it seems like one of those heavy oily fragrances that sticks to skin and fabric for ages and ages.
This is really the only way that i like my vanilla, hypnotic poison and kenzo Amour are lighter and fresher but still quite natural i hate sugary synthetic vanilla in perfume. Addict is thick, heavy and strong with a projection that puts most modern scents to shame.
My only concern is that i won this by sheer luck on ebay, but i dont know how im gping to find a replacement once i run out; luckily such a small amount is needed so i cant see it running out anytime soon lol.
The notes listed for 2014 version are so different but given that i now own both i can attest to the belief that they’re pretty much the same. I’ll say the same thing here that i said about P&G’s version of Dolce and Gabbana red cap: If you have the re released version and have never smelled the original than your fine, its great. But if you dare to try the original than you can never un-know how much better it is.
Oh Dior, why do you hurt us so with your constant reformulating?

  23. :

I wanted to like Dior Addict and I tried so hard to do so. I gave it three chances on my skin and I just can’t. I like the warmth of this fragrance, but it’s those darn heady florals that keep pushing it into old lady territory for me. I’m not a floral hater, I just prefer the subtle, light, sweet kind. If I could personally change the floral notes in this fragrance, I would, and I’d probably then love the scent. It’s not an awful fragrance and I can see why so many people like it, it’s just not for me.

All I could smell is powdery jasmine, the vanilla was very faint. I expected something with a stronger vanilla based on the notes votes here. I like it but not enough to buy a full bottle or large decant.

Mine Is a 2009 bottle and to me this has a striking similarity to Musc Ravageur. I would love to know if I’m not alone with this comparison. Very heavy cinnamon note. I love it and my 2014 formula bottle is on its way, so I’ll store this older one.

I was not crazy about it. Tried several times and the powder and something else was too much for me. But this time I sprayed it in my hair and it stayed there until I washed my hair 2 days later, and I think I can still smell it. Absolutely lovely, soft, sweet vanilla. I love the dry-down! But I don’t like the opening 🙁

If I could get my hands on an older version I would love to try -but I cannot find one. Feeling like I’ve missed out on a “better” version of the current formulation makes me sad – I feel if you are going to make a fragrance a signature – and wear it many years, it should be something you can buy another bottle of when you run out. Just my two cents – and the newer formulation- the one I’ve got- is absolutely incredible

    New Formulation :
I was interested in sampling this since many reviews say it is unisex. I don’t know about the vintage version but the current DA to me smells like vanilla, over powered by a dirty make-up bag and noticeable eyeliner shavings.
I wear many perfumes marketed to females with ease but this was a total scrubber for me.
    Good Luck 🙂
    Update :
5 hours later there is a much different dry down, a nice sweet vanilla but not worth going through the make up bag phase for me.

I’ve managed to get this old formulation by accident as a blidbuy on ebay and it is a revelation!
I’ve finally found an ultimate perfume that will become my signature.
I’m wearing it at the moment in an office but it’s very hot and dry outside. I will also wear it on a hot evening date.
Projection is great, two sprays will be just enough.
Longevity is fab, stays on clothes forever and whole day on skin.
It’s very sexy, dark and sweet but not cloying. Like a cloud of sensual vanilla with flowers mixed up with incense (not listed!)
I adore it and have just purchased another bottle of this everlasting beauty.

A perfume simply intoxicating! Smells of white flowers, vanilla and tonka beans. It can be suffocating if you spray a lot. But in the right quantity it is superb!
Recommended for those who love sweet perfumes and vanilla. Definitely a winter and autumn fragrance.

Okay so I finally found myself a 50ml (made in 2004 according to batch code) version of this and wanted to do a side by side comparison with my (made in 2012) 2012 version. I will call my 2004 bottle “the 2002 version” as I continue below to make things less confusing.
This made-in 2004 bottle was slightly wider and shorter than the 50ml 2010 bottle of 2002 that was also available for purchase. I decided to go with the older bottle but from sniffing the two bottles they both smelled the same.
in the made-in 2004 bottle, the batch code was stamped on the side rim of the bottom. The bottom did not have a sticker but instead had the Dior info stamped on in matte gold foil (unlike 2010 and 2012 version which both had stickers with batch code stamped in a designated spot on the sticker.) Also the 2004 and 2010 bottles did not have the gold rim around the neck whereas the 2012 did, which differentiates them as the oldest versions and the newer version (not counting the latest 2014 offering.)
That’s it for the outside bottle differences, onto the scent itself. Upon smelling the nozzle hole of 2002 juice vs. 2012, the 2002 definitely smells sweeter and my pick for favorite. However beyond the extra sweetness, these scents feel 95% the same.
Then I sprayed 2 sprays each on my hands and wrists, Left hand 2002, right hand 2012. I’ll be honest, they both smell bad right now. A bit too camphor-ish with 2012 being the slightly less camphorish (and slightly more pleasant) of the two.
But I know with some perfumes, you have to let them settle before you can really judge (and having worn 2012 before, I know for a fact it gets muuuch better) so now I’m going to pause my review, wait for it to settle, and then come back to continue. I also want to note that the “unpleasant camphor smell” is ONLY when I shove my nose up into my skin to smell. With my hands away from my face, typing away from the keyboard, I am getting a lovely, not quite boozy, vanilla (from the vanilla extract bottle) kind of smell wafting up at me and it’s beautiful!

According to the notes the similarities between these two are:
Orange blossom, Night blooming cereus, rose, sandalwood, tonka, vanilla
You can make your own judgment call about (2002) Mandarin leaf vs (2012) Mandarin.
    The remaining differences are:
    (2002) Mulberry flowers
(I have no idea why Fragrantica lists this as “Blackberry” but even on the Fragrantica page text it says Mulberry flowers, not blackberry.)
And Jasmine is listed in the notes but also not in the text, I think Fragrantica tried to make the connection of “Night queen flower” which can mean Cereus or Night blooming jasmine, so I think that’s where the discrepancy is coming from.
(2012) Silkwood blossom (a mimosa-like yellow flower scent)
So to me, this boils down to a difference between Mulberry blossoms and Silkwood blossoms as far as the notes are concerned. Of course, chemically speaking, who knows what they really did to satisfy IFRA?
HOWEVER – I detect (and other reviewers have also noted) that there’s a chai or spice mix sort of smell in here. Cinnamon or cassia, cloves, cardamom, tea. The 2002 has a heavier mix of this and 2012 lighter, but they both have it. The 2002 especially, I would give as a recommendation for someone who is looking for a vanilla chai latte scent.

Okay 15 minutes has passed now while I was killing time micro-analyzing all that, and during that time the vanilla wafting up at me was getting sweeter and more complex and it’s just heavenly.
Smelling both my hands and wrists now, either the unpleasant camphor smells is completely gone, or my nose has gotten used to it. The scents are still about 90-95% the same. They both have an underlying bitteress with 2002 being cooler and 2012 being warmer.
The 2002 hand is more powdery and cooler. Vanilla, sandalwood, tonka are the most prominent along with a mystery scent that I’m going to guess must be the mulberry blossom note. The smell gives sweet purple and white bursts of pleasant tingles on my tongue, like tiny fireworks bursting in the sky, if I inhale too deeply.
The 2012 hand and wrist is also powdery but lighter and creamier and warmer and there’s also a “yellow flowers” vibe to it as well, on my tongue it’s a more cushiony pale yellow and white bursts of honeyed flower nectar kind of feeling. (I have synesthesia when I inhale perfume scent very deeply. My brain starts to interpret things as if they were taste as well as smell.)
So in conclusion, these scents are 95% the same. If you are a collector but your sense of smell isn’t that keen you might not need both in your collection at all. (I’ll admit, mine isn’t, though I can smell the difference, it’s VERY slight and I do use my synesthesia as a cheat.)
To me 2002 is brighter, stronger, and sharper, (but only slightly) and 2012 is thicker & creamier and more yellow-flowers-y (this has to be the silkwood blossom.)
I actually prefer the 2012 version today, but I think it’s just because I’m in a “Yellow flowers” kind of mood, but I think there will be many days where I will prefer the cooler more vanilla-tonka-y 2002 version without the silkwood blossom as well, especially as the summer heats up, so I don’t regret acquiring both, since they are both discontinued and at least I’ll feel less bad about using them up since I now have two bottles. (Though I think adding 2014, which I’ve only nozzle sniffed – and liked, to my collection will be a waste right now.)
Okay I can’t stop sniffing my arms now. I hope this comparison can help those of you who missed out on 2002 and 2012 and are trying to figure out which one to hunt down and buy.
ETA – 4 hours later the 2002 arm smells sweeter than the 2012 arm.

The scent reminds me of minty herbalish talcum powder my late mother used to use for my back when I had an allergy.
This is strong balsamic oriental scent. to my nose the tonka bean & sandalwood are very dominant here, too oriental for my taste.

    Addict 2002 version.
At the time of addicts release I found the vanilla much too cloying for my taste and never resonated with it. 2002 addict is a rich overdose of vanilla and florals much ahead of the trend of vanilla being so dominant in perfumary than it had been at any other time but it was right on the heels of the gourmand revolution ushered in by Angel in 1994. Now you can only experience addicts origional design in niche or independent perfumary as its been so tragically neutered beyond its origional intent. But for what its worth it is definately worth seeking out a vintage bottle. I think its a sign of the turn of the millenia..a young Thierry Wasser asserting his influence in the fragrance landscape and a wonderful walk back in time.

I haven’t had good experiences with Dior perfumes, but I’ve been looking for an opportunity to try this one. I finally got the chance this morning in the airport.
If you’re unsure about it, please please PLEASE don’t judge just by the scent of the nozzle or immediately after spraying on your skin or a test strip.
In the first moments, there’s a sweetness that’s rather off-putting, and I almost didn’t spray it on my skin.
I’m glad I did, though. The sweetness faded almost immediately, and left a gorgeous powdery, floral vanilla. I love vanilla perfumes that aren’t sweet, and this is absolutely beautiful.
Powerful, too. I was wearing Black Orchid, and while I don’t have much of either on (I think it’s rude to douse yourself in fragrance before getting on a plane), the Addict can compete just fine with the Black Orchid. It seems to have some good lasting power, too.
The only thing that might possibly make this better would be if the rose note was a little more noticeable. But really, that’s such a minor thing. This is absolutely amazing.

I got a sample of this one from Sephora. To me it’s a very spicy floral at first, and then becomes a soft powdery vanilla that lasts and lasts and lasts!! I could smell it the next day on my forearm. I think it’s way overpriced for what you get, and my preference would be for something like Kenzo Amour which has a very pretty vanilla drydown that stays close to the skin.

Wearing a sample I received awhile back and accidentally sprayed on myself this morning. Was going to try to cover it up with a layering scent because I wasn’t sure if I liked it, and changed my mind…glad I did. This is such a strong scent…not necessarily unpleasant, but very potent and “stand alone”. I love the sweetness of the vanilla and I also love that there is some sort of smoky balance to it but I don’t really think it’s office friendly LOL It definitely projects well. Very sexy, very confident scent.

    UPDATE.
Recently, after 15 years of Dior ADDICT being my signature/only fragrance, I began a search for a new signature. The closest thing I liked was Mon Guerlain….whose perfumer, Thierry Wasser also created Dior ADDICT. I made a blind purchase of Mon Guerlain, and had hopes my love would grow.
My 30yo daughter, who is of all things classy, recently experienced Mon Guerlain. And, even though she stated that her Mom still has very high standards for fragrance, she still feels that Dior ADDICT fits my personality best.
ADDICT is bold, yet soft. It will get in your face, but be polite about it. It will “work” all day, but still be a comforting companion at night.
Dior ADDICT is warm, powdery, floral, gourmand…..it’s the 1-in-a-million, unusual friend you will meet, be hypnotized by their Charm, and forever be drawn to this gem. This will continue to represent me….by way of the olfactory senses.

I’ve been wearing Addict ever since it came out, but I never really came around to review it. I guess I took it for granted.
My review is for the 2002 original of which I’ve been lucky (and wise) enough to backup 2 100ml bottles as soon as I got my first and long gone one (September 2002) and for the extrait which I bought the same year for Xmas. As of now, it’s still found on Ebay, though getting harder to.
Addict embodies all that was happening in the turn of the Millenium. In a sense, it’s a scent capsule. While mainstream had a few good years left, Dior didn’t, and luckily Galliano had the opportunity to envision this and Dior Homme as his exit opus. Kind of vulgar, at times trashy, but always addictive, Addict is logomania, glossy bronzed skin, lots of naked skin actually, gloss, neon colored huge sunglasses and electronic music. Everything that was in and cool at the time, and part of what catapulted Dior to 21st century stardom.
Created by a younger Thierry Wasser, this is a vanilla rush; smoky, leathery, sexy vanilla.
The original opening (and this has been lost in subsequent reformulations) is a slightly bitter and green mandarin leaf (all the rage as a note back then) that avoids turning Addict into a gourmand as they are known today. Addict is a full fledged sweet floriental; rose, jasmine, night blooming cereus or night jasmine or queen of the night (take your pick!) that move in and out and all around the vanilla, which is beautifully dark like the Mexican variety, and is surrounded by a smoky veil that leads to adult creaminess. The sandalwood, which was always stated as Mysore is not; it would have been extremely expensive to use, not to mention almost impossible to obtain by then, but it isn’t screechy or sour; it’s creamy, buttery, boozy and it shows how it can feel like phantom Mysore when mixed with care and talent. I never got the oakmoss, but I did get the most creamy florals, in a most addictive way, which every once in a blue moon take a slightly plasticky feel. Weird, but it’s part of the magic that makes Addict a friend of Shalimar, Habanita and Lou Lou, each showcasing the dirtier side of vanilla.
Addict is a beautiful scent. It followed the success of Hypnotic, which took me longer to appreciate, and showed a somewhat younger and more energizing facet; it came at the right time, at the right place, and with the right name. Hypnotic was almond liqueur Femme Fatale while Addict was an intoxicating vanilla elixir, felt like a drug, and had a naughty first add which got banned months after its release in favor of a censored one. In a subliminal way, Addict was Opium for the new Millenium!
The forgotten extrait feels like the heart and base of the edp from the start, has a bit of powder in the middle, and lacks the sense of rush that the edp has. It’s deeper, very oily on skin with a deep amber color that stains, and lasts until you wash it of. Total powerhouse power for both!
As for current Addict, which I tried just for the sake of it, well it does smell like Addict (still) but it’s basically orange blossom and vanilla. The green opening tinge is gone, as is the smoke that surrounds the vanilla, and the sandalwood feels very ‘Le Labo Santal’. Not the worst reformulation out there, but it’s definitely not Addict(ive). It would have worked better as a flanker.

    No.
    It’s too intense for me.
    Definitely for nightwear only.
It has that same nose-pinching and balsamic powdery suffocating effect as Guerlain’s Samsara does.
I need to scrub this test spray off my wrist.
The ingredients sounded exotic, and had the potential to impress, but maybe it’s the Mulberry that gets cloying??

Not a fragrane I would wear, but I can appreciate the combination of notes.

I spelled this once at Ulta and i fell in love!! I wish i had this in my collection, as it would probably be my signature. It’s sexy and bold but not overbearing. The scent lasts quite a while too.

I suppose leaving a review for some scents is like visiting famous landmarks while travelling: you have to pay your respects, you know.
Great scent with great performance, even after reformulation.

I imagine this is what Snow White’s stepmother would have worn. It’s mysterious, a bit dark, powerful, and very seductive. It’s like the Demon part in Givenchy’s Ange ou Démon: well-balanced tonka, sandalwood and white flowers. It goes softer and gentler with time, and after 4 or 5 hours the vanilla stands out. I was about to buy it, but I don’t feel myself prepared for something that mature and impressive.

I’m reviewing the original 2002 original.
I had never smelled the original but sprayed the 2012 or 2014 on me in Ulta and fell in love. So I ordered a few decants of that one.
Recently I saw the older version for sale and wanted it to try it. This is so much richer, deeper and nuanced than the newer versions (but I DO love the newer versions too!)
The original isn’t so “in your face”. It seems to be lacking the, for lack of better word, punch, I get when I spray on the newer one. It’s more subtle than the newer one.
I’m actually not sure which one I love more now. I suppose it will take more testing but I see the greatness in both.

Not a review so much as a serving suggestion: Try layering Dior Addict with Marc Jacobs Decadence for a luxurious gourmand treat experience. You’re welcome.

Where do I start? 2003…and I’m wandering Macys. An invisible force pulled me to this bottle, and I sprayed a test strip, slipped it in a book, and forgot about it. Then I began to read, and this heavenly scent emanated from the pages days later. From the moment I apply it, until I bathe, I feel wrapped in a cashmere hug. Mildly spicy at first…then the magic happens!
Fast forward to February 2018. Some major life changes. I begin to search for a NEW signature fragrance. After almost a month of being showered by “spritzers” with many opinions, I realize the magic is in the Tonka Bean and Vanilla! I was drawn to Alien, Coach Floral, and La Vie Est Belle. All are absolutely lovely scents, but I still return to Addict. It’s an eternal love story for me.

This is my second review. Recently i tried this again and i wasnt impressed by the opening. It starts with florals that have been copied by many others over and over again. However i believe after jadore this is the best mature fragrance. It dries down to a creamy luxurious floral with a touch of greenness. Over time my taste of fragrance has changed and evolved. Addict has no surprise element for me but i finall came to a place where i understand and appreciate its beauty. Addict is a true classic.

Can someone PLEASE direct me to where I can purchase the original formulation from 2002? I would love a big 3.4oz/100ml bottle!
    Thanks in advance!

I just picked this up via a swap with an awesome Fragrantican, and it is glorious. It’s the original 2002 EDP, and I am swooning. It is so much richer and denser than the current formulation (whi
