Ugh, I’m so disappointed in this. I bought the super cheap 7.75 oz bottle from Fragrancenet, and the situation isn’t their fault…
They have it advertised as Houbigant EDT, but what I got was DEFINITELY Dana. There is a raised word HOUBIGANT on the bottom of the bottle, but ON TOP of that lettering, is the Dana sticker and although Eau de Toilette is PREPRINTED on the bottle… the Dana sticker says Eau de Cologne.
And this is pretty much lightly (LIGHTLY!) scented cologne water. On skin, you get a nice pleasant aroma, but on cloth– it’s pure alcohol/nail polish remover. And so light. Def just a fruity floral water.
So, on ebay, I bought ANOTHER 7.75 EDT that the seller shows the bottom of the bottle and it says HOUBIGANT, so I thought I was getting vintage EDT (same bottle) but now I can see– it’s prob this shitty EDC with the Dana sticker REMOVED to show the Houbigant lettering, and without the Dana sticker- you wouldn’t know it’s EDC and not EDT. And you don’t know it’s Dana. Crap.
Kinda a lotion/shampoo smell. Disappointed to say the least.

It’s a sweet floral. What kind of floral… I don’t know/ I can barely smell it. It just seems sweet and floral to me. The bottle reflects how cheap it was.
I didn’t take note of it being an Eau De cologne when I blind bought it. I imagine at edp strength it might be interesting but it’s barely there. I’m tempted to decant into a spray and just use on laundry before storing.

Oh dear, this is way too sweet for me. Sugary sweet floral, and pretty cheap smelling, so a disappointment.

Fragrance Review For Demi Jour Dana
Top Notes aldehydes, violet bergamot
Middle Notes iris, jasmine, heliotrope, ylang-ylang, lily-of-the-valley rose
Base Notes sandalwood, musk, oakmoss cedar
This beauty is the L’Heure Bleu of Dana perfumes. This is not a dupe but it’s reminiscent of L’Heure Bleu so if you like L’Heure you’ll love this. It opens with classic aldehydes fresh and radiant, very old timey. Then it turns into a slight citric scent that dissipates and becomes floral. The flowers in this fragrance are purple and blue. My favorite flower is in it heliotrope and it is the one flower that most stands out. It becomes powder because it has iris and orris root just a lovely iris and heliotrope. Delicate and powdery. The other flowers are jasmine ylang ylang rose and lily of the valley. It’s very floral. These flowers rest on woods and are covered in oak moss. There’s a magnificent sandalwood too and it becomes an Oriental fragrance. This is just lovely. It has so many notes I love. It smells very floral and powdery and feminine. It also has that make up scent but I like that. Not bad. Yes it’s affordable but it has a luxurious vintage quality and I love the bottle. It has the same kind of elegance as L’Heure Bleu and it smells more luxurious. I haven’t explored too many Dana perfumes but I’ve ordered a couple. I love Dana Ambush. Dana perfume noses must have liked heliotrope because each time I have worn Dana perfumes I smell heliotrope. Love it.

This was a surprise. I bought it labelled Houbigant. They sent me the Dana version.
This is a good version for spring and summer for people that like heavier scents in winter. Its a light version of a musky iris floral. It has body but isnt heavy at all.
You get a huge 7.75 splash bottle so it can be used liberally without being too much. I think it would be great mixed into a moisturizer.
Its not going to change your world but it is a pretty super affordable feminine musky skin scent.
