I really like this scent. It opens with a lot of citrus; not a specific citrus note, just very citrus-y. I often struggle with citrus becoming sour or sharp and dominating a fragrance. However, the citrus here dries down very quickly into the soft, sweet labdanum. The citrus dissolves into the scent but doesn’t quite disappear. The blending is beautiful and the citrus imparts an edible quality to the labdanum. And the overall feeling is, to me, of a gourmand. I find it a little strange that this feels so gourmand to me; I’m not really a gourmand aficionado. It does have a bit of sweetness, yes; but much more is simply “edible.” I find it to be absolutely gorgeous. I can still smell it on skin after 6 hours; but it’s definitely only at the skin at that point. Sillage is pretty much at skin scent for the duration; the only disappointment.
