this is one of the most beautiful wearable ouds i have encountered in the past ten years it does not smell synthetic in any way it smells so natural deep resinous woody earthy mellow velvety its like the consistency of molasses or maple syrup the good Canadian stuff ..
sometimes oud may have a strange after smell some ppl cal it fecal others cal it barn yard this oud dosnt have neither smells its aged well its extracted and purified in a refined conservative manner that to my nose does not involve water, which tends to degrade the quality of oud to my nose i think this might be co extraction or some other old method used without the addition of solvents or water.. i smell the oaky smokey deep dark mysterious vibe that oud lovers know the type of oud that literally transcends you from one place to another ..i can get headaches easily from ouds or indolic jasmine but this has been great with me it actually uplifts my mood and i feel its like a blessing just wearing it i enjoy oud in cooler weather of temperatures of 12 to 22 degrees celcious ..but its an oud that everyone can wear any time of year day or night but i personally prefare my ouds at cold nights where it tends to stay closer to you i mix my ouds with lighter sprays but i use it directly on my hair or behind the ears ..some ouds i turn red if i use on my skin this one didn’t do that it was very soft on my skin didnt burn and keeps developing and turning with my heat with my chemistry as if it becomes one with my skin as if it makes an aura around me as if it creates a 6 the invisible energy or magnetic field that just excludes me inside this heavenly bliss of an unexplaineable experience almost divine no wonder why so many religions and cultures use this for meditation and prayer for it really does seem to have the power to connect soles or beings with higher realms..as if it adds a protective aurora around you protecting you from al negative vibes and energies as if it encapsulate you in a vail of mellow resinous bliss..its also used in wedding ceremonies and it festivities to bring god luck and blessings and oud means to return so they greet and say by to visitors with both the incense or the oud perfume or both as a sing to have your loved ones return safely ..so oud has so many cultural aspects related to it depending on where its being used in the far east for meditation and prayers in temples and in the mid east for celebrations and perfuming ones body and hair and homes and it is an integral part of the entire culture oud is considered a prized possession its even part of the dowry or the gifts that are exchanged between the bride and the groom and is a must in all celebrations..so people in those regions have conotated happy times with the smell of oud and are so used to it that it became a daily everyday ritual and practice to wear oud based or pure oud fragrances leaving the best for the special occasions of course some of the best ones go for tens of thousands of dolars depending on how long they have been aged and how old some of the trees were and the extraction methods and types..
and i have smelled oud for over 30 years using them from the most rare to the simplest ones and to my nose hekay is a real story hekaya means story and this is the name of this oud..and it does have a story of its own it smells like some of the rarest and most expensive refined ouds i ve smelled in the past ten years and i so happy i got it because of a dear member who asked me to check it out for her
a beautiful velvety smokey resinous deep dark mysterious blissful accord those are the words that keep coming to me over and over again …you cant compare it to any of the mainstream oud once oud touches alcohol or water it turns acidic unles you play with synthetics and thats another issue i dont want to ruine that beautiful moment of wearing this precious oud with
this is as natural as natural can still be ..i am sure the batch will eventually finish and there wont be the exact same hekaya but there will be a similar hekaya or story to tell..
this oud reminds me alot of saif alhind by ajaml which is another amazing oud depending on batches
