aleksandabramo – :
Proraso has entered the cologne market and this is one of the of the three releases in the Proraso Single Blade Line. The other two are Wood & Spice and Azur Lime.
A hallmark of the Proraso fragrance lines is that they all have the traits of smelling clean and fresh. Cypress & Vetyver is no exception.
Wearing this does have a reminiscent effect, like you’ve just showered and shaved or walked out of a high end barbershop. The nice blend of green woods works quite well and I see this having “mass appeal”.
When I refer to this as having mass appeal, I’m not referring to it in the sense that it’s so common that everyone seems to be wearing it, like a Bleu de Chanel, Dior Sauvage or Gio, I say it the sense that it’s extremely versatile and would seem to be at least an overall “like” to a wide range of people.
This is an excellent fragrance for a casual outing with friends or as an office fragrance, however, if you’re wearing it to the office, go light. Two sprays max should do it for that location. A third spray really seems to amp this fragrance up.
Projection is average to maybe slightly above average and longevity, for me, is at least 6 hours with two sprays, although I get whiffs of it for at least 2-3 hours afterward.
In terms of strength and projection for the Proraso Single Blade Line, I’d rank them in this order: 1) Wood & Spice 2) Cypress & Vetyver and 3) Azur Lime.
