Is it out of stock? I cannot find it anywhere but on ebay and amazon where prices reach Tuscan Leather’s prices.

I quite like this but it is very sweet, more a raspberry fragrance backed up with some leather, I don’t detect any thyme or incense. It’s too fruity for me to reach for regularly and the bottle I bought five years ago is only 25% used. No complaints about the longevity though as this lasts a good eight hours on me.
The back-up bottle in my cupboard (they were very cheap) will probably never be opened.

I get a slightly different twist on the tuskan leather feel of this fragrance with a more medicinal/herbal/spice vibe which I possibley prefer to tuskan leather in all honesty.
This for me is up there with Essenza Di Aoud in the Pal Zileri line in terms of quality.
Quite good performance on my skin.
    Classic.

This is definitely a clone to Tuscan Leather. An excellent clone, which is pretty much identical (barring a discrepancy in performance). I always liked Tuscan Leather; but I didn’t like the scent for the price. I only wanted it for maybe half price. Well, this is a tenth of the price, and I love it.
It opens immediately as a fruity-leather scent. Off the bat, you already smell the woody and smoky notes. However, the raspberry seems to be the most prominent note upon a first spray. After just minutes, the strong leather begins to dominate. Sure, there are nuances and fleeting moments of all other listed notes; but leather is the star of the show here. The woody quality which emerges in the late into the dry-down gives this a forest-y type of smell. I mean that in the best way possible. Edit: The presence of thyme is also rather strong, which I had completely forgotten about.
This is an amazing fragrance, and I wouldn’t miss out on this before it gets even harder to find.
Performance is crazy with 12hr+ of longevity and 7-8 hours of strong projection.

This is a very nice scent – a real leatherly scent – unfortunately it’s hard to get and the prices are going up steadily – probably in a year or two, it will not be on the market anymore – the performance is good to very good – the dry down is very nice – unfortunately I only tested it now with the warm weather and I think this one is a real fall/winter scent -update I tested it now in the fall weather – I do see some of the comparison between Tuscan Leather and this but Pal Zileri Cuoio is more fresh leather other aspects of the smell ( fresh flowers and fruit are more pronounced ) than Tuscan leather which I always compare to the leather smell you would find in an old fashioned shoe shop of my kids days some decades ago – I like this more than Tuscan Leather – a good blind buy – the best in the last weeks – my score 8,5/10 – maybe I should buy the last couple of bottles available – I think it would be a good investment

A powerful woody, fruity leather and floral perfume. Lasts ages and projects excellently well. The silage is lovely and I have had complements. This was a blind buy and, for me it’s one of my best. A fantastic juice with tons of character – love this to bits!

As a man, you can not go wrong with this one. First time I got a sniff, I thought “what a strange scent”. It’s a leather, but not the one where you seek first help afterwards. Smooth, non-invasive, distinctly masculine, yet a little sweet and yes, I get a bit of jasmine from that. If you tell me that I smell like a raspberry, I’ll say it’s a bit concealed, but definitely there and well-combined with the Woody notes and leather. I’ll gladly say, that I love it and will buy more of it, and I’m not the guy that usually sticks to couple of my old favorites. This one got noticed.

Loving this right now, I bought it in the summer and tried it out on a few evenings out and it was lovely then, but now Autumn is here, it’s really coming into its own.
I shall be wearing this more often over the autumn and winter as it suits it well. Not having tried TFTL I can’t compare it but it is a nice clean and classy smell and such a bargain to boot at £20
A nice safe blind buy if you like leather fragrances.

For all practical purposes, this is very close to TF Tuscan leather. Beautiful leather with a hint of raspberry. Good performance too. Will definitely buy again!
Update. I love this so much, that I’ve guzzled half a bottle and have bought another, so I don’t run out!
    P.s.
Fragrantica. We could do with a page to review Pal Zileri Privata Essenza di Aoud EDT please.

    Edit:
Not as sure about this as I was before, now I have had it a while and it has matured in the bottle it seems to become farther and farther removed from TL.
Now the opening seems to really screech at me, it is extremely strong and almost off-putting. It actually smells a bit like soup for some reason (and not a nice soup).
I still lasts a long time, but now that I pretty much cannot stand it, that’s no longer a good thing to me.
This one is going on sale and I will be buying a bottle of the real thing I think. Or perhaps even try La Yuqawam.

So, you want a cheap Tuscan Leather clone.
Out of the three most popular options, La Yuqawam, Charriol Royal Leather and Cuoio, I have tried Royal Leather and own Cuoio.
Royal Leather is more mature, and focuses on the leather part of Tuscan Leather. Very nice, and smells more gentleman-ly so to speak.
Cuoio is closer to Tuscan Leather, as it has the raspberry note, but where as TL is quite serious and grownup, Cuoio is more youthful and playful.
The overall vibe is quite TL-like, and it could be described as “Tuscan Leather-lite”. It’s slightly sweeter than TL, but overall does the trick nicely.
Of course, the complexity and texture of the fragrance is different. It isn’t as thick smelling, nor as high quality as TL.
At the price, it’s a cheap thrill that satisfied my need for a nice leather scent.
Longevity is decent – 5-7 hours with ok projection. This isn’t a beast like TL, which can be quite nice for work situations.
Overall I rate this 8/10. TL is better, but as a cheap substitute, this one is good enough for me.

This is a very good and decent leather, with fruity and slightly spicy/balsamic notes. I have Tuscan Leather and it has a vibe similar to Tuscan Leather. This is an EDT so longevity is never going to match Tuscan Leather which is a potent EDP.
Still for an EDT it is quite a long lasting fragrance with about six to seven hours on me with the same amount of time in terms of sillage and projection which tones down a little after five hours.
Quality is excellent and price is a no brainer even if its a blind buy.
Mature fragrance so not to be worn by younger folks. Suits people with a strong and mature personality whom has the charisma and confidence to carry it just like Tuscan Leather.
Cuoio has a vibe similar to another very good Italian perfume by the house of Monotheme Leather. This perfume can be worn all year round with a slight variation of the time of the day.
Try before you buy as it is an animalic fragrance. Very highly recommended given the price and the fact that it is an EDT with good longevity and projection.
It is an 8 out of 10.

  14. :

I sold my Monotheme Leather and bought this to replace it as my “copy of Tuscan Leather”.
I own 30 ml of Tuscan Leather and it is basically Monothem Leather without a slightly offputting note i cant place (maybe saffron), and added a not so sweet raspberry note. TL is pretty good. (Smell 4/5)
Cuoio has a sweeter raspberry note than the one in Tuscan Leather, and a weaker leather note. In fact, I dont get much leather. Most of what I get saffron or thyme. Not a big fan of this scent.
I actually prefer Monotheme Leather to this. (smell 3/5)
If only monotheme leather had Cuoio’s raspberry note…
    Smell 2/5
    I wouldn’t buy this again

I was hurrying through the duty free at the airport the other week when I caught a whiff of something really rather pleasant. Sadly, as usual, I had left getting there to the last kick but planned to investigate on my return journey (in my experience all European airports sell pretty much the same products).
I pretty much forgot about it until I wandered into a small(ish) perfumery in Barcelona when I again caught a whiff of (what to my nose) was the same thing. I asked the young lady behind the counter what I was smelling and she returned with a bottle of Pal Zileri Cuoio. Had another sniff and thought “that’s the fellow”. Bought the juice (for a reasonable price (40 euros)) and wandered happily out thinking that I would now have more time to browse the spirits in the DF on my return leg.
Back at the airport a few days later with booze bought and still some time to kill, I wandered over to the scent section to see if I had got a bargain…but couldn’t find it anywhere. Slightly dejected that I wasn’t going to confirm my bargain hunting prowess I turned to walk away when I was approached by a SA whose English made my Spanish appear good. After a couple of minutes I offered my arm for her to sniff and was surprised that there was a look of recognition as she motioned for me to follow her. All the way to the Tom Ford section, where a tester for Tuscan Leather was thrust under my nose.
I’m not going to say they smell exactly the same but testing TL on paper against Cuoio on skin there are distinct similarities. Not much point going into particular notes, they both smell great…leather and raspberry. However bang for your buck I would have to go for Cuoio! I have no issues spending money but TL was 5-6 times the price (240 euros)!
TFTL is flawlessly fantastic…where as Cuoio has the occasional rough spot here and there but really it’s like comparing a Ferrari with a Maserati. One has no flaws (and maybe) seems a tiny bit sterile for it whereas the other has flaws which add to its character, but both are great.
I would happily wear Cuoio every day (if that was all I had).
    Anyhoo…
    Scent – 9.999/10
    Sillage – 8/10
    Longevity – 8/10
Conclusion – Great value and great scent…definitely worth a punt.

wow! Am I happy i bought this scent, definitely yes!
I find this directly after applying a very heavy and powerfull scent, one that’s almost crosses the line of turning nauseating. So luckily I can fully enjoy this scent.
I think this scent is a bit screaming maybe a bit cheeky even for demanding attention especially untill the drydown by it’s projection power and very uncommon appearance. I never smelled a scent like this before I bought it.
After the drydown I get a leather and sweet raspberry smell with smokey/incense blending in nicely that’s in a pleasant way quite sweet and still destinctive muscular.
I find this scent having it’s own sex appeal, very, very sexy and suits leather clothes perfectly. Longevity is about 7 hours on my skin getting sweeter by the hours.

I have never smelled Tuscan leather so i
can not make a statement, however this reminds
me of a Encre noir in a lighter way at first then it
becomes Gengis kahn and the drydown is almost like
dsquared potion royal black, all the above are some of my favorites, so i guess it is neadless to say i like this one too.

An unusual opening of thyme, saffron and raspberry. Really pleasant, and to me a portent for something special. (I am not familiar with Tom Ford Tuscan Leather – and at his prices the situation is not expected to change – so I can’t comment on their apparent similarity).
Sadly the raspberry note doesn’t seem to last very long; and bizarre this may sound, the early transition smells to me like a grow bag. (I happen to like grow bags with their earthy compost aroma). After a couple of minutes Cuoio arrives close to it’s final expression: an awesome suede leather that is simply stunning. I really can’t emphasise enough how impressive it is.
Having done factory tours at a great many European car manufacturers, Cuoio reminds of one at Maserati and sitting in a custom-order GranTurismo MC Stradale. (Sadly not mine). The smell of that interior was intoxicating. You never forget an experience like that. If that aroma could be bottled, it could be my scent for life.
So! Even after several wearings, and much contemplation, I struggle to locate the incense and jasmine. Sometimes I think I have, but then I’m never sure. The suede leather is perfection. The woods and amber add warmth and a little smokiness. And this is where Cuoio finishes: a warm, woody, smokey, ever so slightly herbal, leather and suede.
I wish so much the raspberry maintained a presence into the drydown, adding a subtle background sweetness. It would have made Cuoio stunning as opposed to simply fabulous.

Jimmy01 is spot on with his short but to the point review. It’s a little sweeter compared to TL and the projection and longevity is not as huge as TL, which is imo a good thing as TL is a bit too much. This is still above average regarding projection and it lasts all day! Excellent luxurious stuff being 8x cheaper than TL! Thumbs up and recommended! Rating: 8.5/10

Oh yes, now this is a beauty. A sweey fruity leather that is just moreish to the nose.
Can defo feel the similarities to TFTL.
raspberries are real dominant but not to the point of sickly sweet. Smooth and luxurious.
Leather holds up to balance this diamond out.
    absolutely love this.
    9/10

It’s very good but not only is it identical too Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather it’s also very close to Geo F. Trumper’s – Eucris Eau de Toilette.
In fact I would pitch this somewhere between Trumpers Eucris and their Astor cologne.
    Fantastic longevity!

Pinnacos is right, the fragrance is extremely close to Tuscan Leather; i did a side by side comparison and Cuoio is a bit sweeter, the raspberry being stronger while the leather note is not as strong as in TL.
Performances are very good as well, i received compliments 6 hours after application. For the price it can be found online in UK, this is a buy.

Guys if you want this cheap, the 100ml bottle is available for around £22.00 on the UK site allbeauty.com. They also have the Aoud version availabe for the same price.
They ship to the UK and Europe but they dont ship to the US. If you want Tuscan Leather for around 10% of the price then get it while its available.
