RIM.AS – :
There’s no information that I can find anywhere about this fragrance (that I just blind-bought). It’s a little treasure though so I’ll have a go at a review.
So, with absolutely NO guidance I have to rely on my nose, which is always going to be a challenge!
It opens brightly with citrus and some peach I believe. At this point it reminded me a little of YSL Champagne, which I adore so that was a very good start.
It becomes quite creamy, and it’s floral – mostly I’m getting a sweet and natural-smelling jasmine. For me jasmine is often horribly overdone, and can easily be screechy, thin and unpleasant, but this is lovely. There’s another white flower that is quite dominant – magnolia perhaps? Now it’s somewhat like Vanderbilt’s Honeymoon.
I think there’s sandalwood in the drydown (that creaminess again) and some musk, but not overly so.
Altogether it’s a very enjoyable fragrance, with a vintage vibe I guess – perhaps suited to a grown-up woman rather than a young girl. Sillage and longevity are good.
Well that’s the best I can do folks, hope it helps someone!
Btw – have no idea why a fragrance clearly called “Donna” should be labeled here as unisex! It is not. It’s very much for women.
