how does this compare to craze noir???? I like the notes in noir a bit better.

A good alternative to Pegasus smells less like it in the opening, but more in the mid and base, Pegasus opens with metallic almond where else this transitions into a metallic almond. Very similar but with less body if that makes any sense.
long lasting performance on my bottle, easily 9-10 + hours.

I am totally done with any ARMAF clones. This smells cheap, and it is. The smell is synthetic and nothing close to Peaguses after 3 hrs.
Its opens similar, but develops really bad. Unfortunately I have to get the real deal for the extra $$$

Has this fragrance been discontinued, because a bunch of these have gone up for sale for a cheap price.

I tested this in a store. I could smell it all day. Me and female went to eat BBQ and she was like, what is that your wear, makes me want to eat you lmao!

I was introduced to Armaf as most others by Club De Nuit Intense but I’m liking many of their other offerings. I was interested of course in trying Craze because many tout it as being the best men’s Armaf scent. I don’t care for this at all.
I’m unfamiliar with almond as a scent note. I was expecting this to smell like sweet almond-scented Italian shaving soaps that I’ve used. It does not. I’m only getting florals and lots of feminine smelling vanilla. One other reviewer said it has a rubber smell, I get that a little too. It smells like a nuclear-strength clone of Bvlgari Black to me.
Beast-mode strength and longevity. I could smell it on my wrist 24 hours after applying, after a shower.
The bottle seemed nice, especially for an Armaf but my cap was making a loud rattling noise. I had to take the cap apart and hot glue one of the metal pieces they added for weight inside.

Okay after seeing all the glowing Armaf reviews of this,I ordered some from India. My impression is this cologne smells very much like CK obsession for men, since my wife loves obsession she give this five stars.

I had Armaf Craze but decided to swap it. I didn’t really like it. I didn’t smell Pegasus so I have no idea if Craze smells like it. Craze smelt very bitter to my nose due to the almond oil and longevity was not super super strong on me like many say it was, lasting about 5 hours. I only wore it a few times due to the climate I live in. If you live in say California, Texas, New Mexico or Arizona, pass this one up unless you like bitter almonds.

Got it today and to me it smells like le male or reflection man if I’m not mistaken. It smells familiar and that’s the only 2 scents I can recall in my mind. Not bad but not great. At least for now.

Just a heads-up: they will be discontinuing the rest of the Craze line shortly.

I really want to like it because of cheap price. Sadly, on my skin, it produce a Plastic-ky Burned Rubber smell that I dislike. It’s really Strong and Long lasting, good for cutting through cold winter. If you can tolerate the synthetic rubber smell, this can be a Beast Mode winter fragrance on the right skin.

Sweet Chemically almondy perfume, dont know what is the hype about, it may smell like Pegasus but totally synthetic smell. It lasts maximum for 2 hours with low projection.

I was just looking online for another bottle and the prices have gone throughout the roof. YIKES!!! $80+
Edit: Some ebay sellers are selling bottles for under $40 now.

i want to like this, but i cant.
this is too synthetic to my taste, its ultra metallic almond scent that almost cloying and linear fragrance, i think my skin chemistry is not good with this frag.
    Scent: 5
    Longetivity: 9 (9-10hrs)
    projection: 7.5 (2-2.5hrs)
    sillage: 7.5
i cant stand the metallic vibe in the opening, otherwise is just fine.

Years ago, I swapped off a bottle by Jean Philippe (IIRC) that smelled like this. Since it was marketed to women, perhaps the idea was to make something like Hypnotic Poison. After about 20 minutes, I’m getting (and have gotten) a predominant soft minty quality. There could be a touch of cumin, and the heliotrope is obvious but not dominant. It’s nice but so far there’s nothing special about it, in terms of my preferences. I haven’t tried Pegasus so I can’t make any comparisons. I intend to try it again before deciding if I should swap off the bottle, since stock seems to be drying up now and I don’t want to get into a situation where I really regret getting rid of it.
UPDATE: After a couple hours an incense type note joins the action, and now it’s more interesting and pleasant. At this point I’d say I’m keeping it. And it’s really strong, so that’s certainly not an issue for me.

Incredible, different, intoxicating scent. I love it. BUT I have found that it lasts longer if you layer it with… Armani Code Profumo.
As you know, Code lasts an insanely long time so adding Craze to a few squirts of Code and you get to keep the smell going for bloody ages. Code doesn’t interfere with the main notes of Craze, it compliments it so it’s a perfect match but of course you could try pairing it with other oriental EDPs in your collection.

    Hi everyone..
I am at Armaf factory in dubai and i wanted to inform that Armaf Craze has been discontinued. So start grabing some backup bottles..

Smells good – a creamy, smooth almond vanilla vibe throughout with some flowery notes in the background. Very linear. I don’t get the pegasus comparisons at all. Really not that close IMO especially performance. This lasts MAX 3 hours then disappears and is a skin scent after about 5 minutes, even after spraying a lot. I guess this is what you pay for but I will be getting rid of my bottle. The performance is too weak.

    Production Date 05/2015
    Batch number 182890
Moderate Sillage for 20 minutes then it becomes a weak skin sent for 4-6 hours , and this is after 3 months of testing so i don’t think that there’s any olfactory fatigue .
From the reviews it looks like the newer batchs are stronger .
I experienced some thing similar with the women’s Club De Nuit Intense, the 2016 bottle is stronger and lasts longer than the 2014 bottle but smells more chemical.

    Fragrance -Craze Armaf
    Bottle from – 2017
Armaf is a cozy and a bit seductive blend of almond, vanilla and lavender with a nice touch of sandalwood and flowers and with a wisper of spices and amber.
This fragrance is very similar to Pegasus by Parfums de Marly, there is no question about it.Perhaps Armaf is a bit less complex, more linear, more floral(especially heliotrope) and with a wisper of eluding sage, but be that as it may,he is very, very similar to the Pegasus.
It has some similarities to Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier and Reflection Man by Amouage, but it’s in a completely different ball park, just like Pegasus.
    Longevity – 9/10(9+ hours)
Silage/Projection – 8/10(moderate to heavy projection and silage for the first 2-3 hours)
Weather -best in early spring, autumn and winter.
    Age – 21+
    Compliments – 8/10
    Scent – 7,5/10
Main notes according to me –
    vanilla,bitter almond,sandalwood,lavender,heliotrope,cumin.
The drydown is moderatly sweet, creamy and powdery and I get some almond, vanilla, sandalwood and amber.
    Emotions -cozy,seductive,night fun,comforting,sexy.
Occasion -for more or less any ocasion, perfect for nights out.
    Try before you buy.

I haven’t smelt Pegasus, so I am evaluating Craze on its merits alone.
Honestly still on the fence on this one. It starts out with a very sharp rootbeer scent which is a little offputting. As it dries down the almond and vanilla come into play, but the sharp rootbeer doesn’t go away. I found myself wanting that awesome vanilla/almond/amber combo to take full stage and boot the rootbeer out, but it never happened. Will hold off final judgement because perhaps it comes into its own in colder weather. Outstanding longevity!

I support the statement below by SHAVE-A-TON
This is a note for the moderators and founders of Fragrantica.
Many rely on these reviews. A number of them mention performance that’s way different from others or earlier reviews. This could be due to reformulations, difference in batches, or counterfeit bottles.
As I’ve said numerous times, unless you add fields that can let the reviewer state where they purchased their bottle, and the batch code/date, these reviews are too subjective.
Uness we PM the reviewer and they agree to answer, one gets a jaundiced and incomplete view of a fragrance.
I will delete this comment within 1 month as it is not Craze fragrance related.

    @uraongthum
Different people stating a 1/2 or 1/3 ratio in terms of performance it’s only natural as the:
    – Skin chemistry interfearence: due to the amount of sweat or the amount of grease performance may vary up to 50%
    – Ambiance temperature: more heat = more projection, bigger sillage,
    and sometimes less longevity…
    – Different batches = minor different scents and different performance
The issue with your finding is that you claim to get only 15 minutes with a single note, while I get 10 hours longevity with the entire pyramyd of notes. There is a 1/40 ratio which is way too much. There are two possible explanations:
    – You have a severe olfactory fatigue with this fragrance. Probably one (or more) componment of the fragrance causes you this fatigue. I do do have olfactory fatigue with some Azzaro and Dior fragrances. That’s why I don’t care much about Dior Sauvage or Azzaro Visit.
    – You have been scamed and got a fake Craze bottle. I already heard about 3 different Armaf fragrances bought by 3 different persons in 3 different places, that were fake (just an ambered colored liquid with lots of alcohol and a light lavender scent). Do everyone a favour and tell us where you bought your Craze flask.

Uum..this lasts 15 min on my skin and just smells like rootbeer. I have a 2015 batch. I am not exaggerating, I can’t smell it after 15 minutes. I’m pissed

personally hate everything about this fragrance.
whether or not it smells like pegasus does not matter to me… i would not be happy paying $5 for this scent, let alone $200

I’m from Brazil and this perfum is great. Sweet almond in a masculine way. Women love this fragrance.
I live in a hot state and i got 10 hours longevity, with 3 sprays.
I recommend this perfum if you like sweet man fragrances.

I blindly bought CRAZE by reading reviews online ….but very disappointed..so dont trust any review rather go to a perfume shop and try it first for any perfume.
    Fragrance :- not bad
    Longativity :- average
    Silage :- poor
    Rating:-
    4/10

Really really love this juice! The almond and vanilla is lovely. Last about 8 hrs on my skin. $23 bucks and I would easily spend 60-80 on it

  33. :

Any buyer should know Armaf Craze is a ultra beast. It is so strong. And do not forget heavy. It is heavy. I get no complexity. A linear long-lasting Almond Vanilla Heliotrope explosion.
The packaging is fine, in my opinion. Armaf packaging is at least good, and sometimes better.

  34. :

    3 out of 5

I haven’t smelt Pegasus personally, so I rate it as a stand alone fragrance.
I blind bought this based on a couple of reviews and it’s cheap price. I’m not regretting it at all. It’s a beautifully constructed vanilla and almond fragrance with an amber and mild woodsy backbone. Very nice.
It’s downside is the bottle. Horrible design and even worse construction. Cheap plastic components, my bottle is already coming apart after a couple of uses. The cap is cheap and loosely fitting. It really lets the fragrance down, cause it looks cheap many people will view it as such as possibly ignore it.

I have both Pegasus from Perfumes De Marly and Armaf Craze. In a side-by-side comparison for 12+ hours, the only difference I noted at all, is slightly stronger projection from Pegasus. The scent is absolutely identical. The cost of Craze is less than 10% of Pegasus. It’s a big win for Armaf and I will seriously consider trying more of their fragrances.

  36. :

To be honest I didn’t like this scent at first but it eventually grew on me. I think that is because the almond is a bit harsh in the opening. The problem with this so called “eau de parfum” is that it doesn’t last at all. You can spray yourself 10 times (and I have) and it will be gone in an hour. I have a 2015 Made in France bottle.

Had a 30ml decant of craze from about 2 years ago, no telling what year or batch but it performed very well, got wofts of it for a good 2-3 hours then a fairly good skin scent and sillage until about the 5-6 hour and I litterally couldnt tell the difference between this and my 125ml bottle of Pegasus which I sold on after aquiring the decant.
Fast forward to today where I have just bought a new bottle off eBay and I have noticed it doesnt perform anywhere near as good now, had to reapply within 3 hours as it was gone.
Seems like another quality fragrance has been ruined by reformulation bravo!

  38. :

I have owned this since February, 2017.
It has a powerful almond/vanilla punch. It is office safe, but I would never spray more than two shots of this. I have sprayed four shots to the chest and neck and that was far too much. It can be overpowering. Use it wisely and all will be excellent.
BUT used correctly it is very nice and a great value. It is one of the best Armafs. It reminds me of Givenchy Pi, except Pi is more complex and better. I would only wear Craze on the coldest winter days.
–edit– One spray is more than enough.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

If Armaf Craze is a bang on clone of Perfumes de Marly Pegasus, I do conclude that Pegasus must be a very good fragrance (I never sniffed Pegasus).
Craze is a metrosexual male scent, a bit sweet and creamy (vanilla and almond), a bit floral (heliotrope, lavender, jasmine and sage), a bit spicy (cumin) and a bit manly (sandalwood and amber drydown).
This fragrance presents an outstanding value for money. I’ll explain this with my ratings:
    My rates for Armaf Craze:
    – Scent:…………………….9.0 (my judgement, classy and hard to beat as an Oriental /Fougére)
    – Longevity:……………….8.5 ( >10 hours, 3 initial sprays)
    – Sillage:……………………9.0 (sillage peak at 6 feet, projection for > 4 hours)
    – Versatility:……………….9.0 (just avoid very hot days; very good for almost any situation)
    – Compliments……………9.0 (very serious compliment grabber)
    – Uniqueness:……………9.5 (not a 10 because many people say it is a clone of Pegasus but costs 7~8 times less)
    – Quality:……………………9.5 (it smells very expensive and classy)
    – Presentation:…………..5.0 (bad taste and tacky bottle)
    – Price:……………………….9.0 (€21,00 for 100 ml + shipping)
Average: 8.61/10.00 (9,06/10,00 if I discard the presentation bad mark)
Very good fragrance; I do recomend it; You just have to hide it in the back of the closet due to the ugliness of the bottle.

One of Armafs top offerings! It doesn’t get the hype CDNI does but that’s not because of the quality of the juice. I can accept it won’t be to all peoples taste but I’m a fan. This is such a great, unique, niche quality fragrance.
I’m getting around 10+hrs of longevity with just less than arms length silage from 1 spray to the chest under the shirt. To me it’s best placed in the cooler weather and is office safe.
The only thing I don’t like is the bottle. It looks tacky, its unwieldy in size and shape and the top doesn’t sit securely in place. As I found with CDNI the first few sprays out of a new bottle are very harsh but it starts to mellow after you break it in.
If you can find a better smelling and better performing frag for under £20 then please let me know. If not… do your self a favour and at least sample this.

ARMAF Craze is a spot on clone of Parfums de Marly Pegasus. In my book it’s at least 95%+ similar. It’s a creamy vanilla and bitter almonds bomb which is truly yummy! Amazing juice!
Projection is excellent and longevity is superb. you can easily get 10 hours and more.
A really nice and pleasant vanilla based fragrance.
If you appreciate vanilla you will like this one and my very well fell in love with it! Shades of Hypnotic Poison. Definitely one of the best clones in ARMAF’s stable of fragrances.

    1. Bottle – Funky with Leather Strap. Excellent sprayer
    2. Fragrance – Clone of Pegasus from Perfums de Marly. Fantastic almond vanilla based fragrance. Sandalwood, Heliotrope and cumin play their part as well.
    3. Longevity – Good. 4-5 hrs with 3 sprays
    4. Silage – Good. 1-2 ft. The dry down is totally freaking awesome. Advice – Spray it on skin rather than on clothes.
    5. Price – Dirt cheap
    6. Overall – 8.5 / 10 (Might not appeal to all as its not like totally masculine)
    7. Should you buy / skip – Definite buy and thank me later.
