Description
Profumi del Forte one again honor Italy’s tradition and culture with its new collection of fragrances Colonia del Forte. The collection of three colognes is inspired by the personalities that have revolutionized Tuscany, Italy and the world. Those personalities are Dante Alighieri, Michelangelo Buonarroti and Leonardo da Vinci. The fragrances are named after their birth dates. Colonia del Forte are fresh eaux de toilette that cradle freedom of thought and creativity, caress body and mind; fragrances inspired by brilliant people to bring us just a little closer to the remarkable advances brought about by these superlative intellects whose work marked real turning points in Italian cultural evolution.
1452 is a citrusy – aromatic scent that begins with notes of orange, tangerine, greens and aldehydes. The heart features floral tones and petit grain, based on herbs and cream.
The colognes are available in bottles of 120 ml. The container for the perfume could not be other than a new, innovative bottle, specially created by Tuscan designers and craftsmen: a large bottle, 120 ml, so that the revolution can last over time, and is clearly inspired by the Tuscan towers, the crenellations, which have accompanied Profumi del Forte along their path of excellence right from the very beginning … The stopper, carved in Italian wood, is deliberately shaped like a pommel, and emphasizes the bold and sporting spirit of the collection.
Colonia del Forte 1452 was launched in 2011.

Colonia del forte 1452 os a beautiful aldehydic/citrusy/herbal scent for watm weather daytime. It feels slightly vintage traditional classic cologne but it’s very wearable and safe for all.
1452 opens with natural semi-sweet tangerines, mouthwatering and fresh. After some minutes comes a strong & domonant note of orange, quite natural, which remains till the end with the tangerines. It’s simple and beautiful scent. As time passes emerges a green/herbal note which is mild and a faint floral note. Throughout the life of this scent live noticeable aldehydes at the background. You must focus on it and you can feel them easily. They feel like a platform, a base where all the rest ingredients exist. Still the first thing that you detect in the air is the orange and the tangerines. A nice uplifting summery vibe. Aldehydes is the soul of this scent and the citruses its caracter. At the late dry down I can detect a pinch of mineral note and traces of a bitter note. I know very well this special smell because one of my hobbies is gemology and I’ve been many times in caves, mountains and sea shores searching for minerals and gems.
Sillage is moderate and the projection is average. I’ll update with longevity info. I’m still evaluating it and it surpasses easily 4 hours -and still counting- but most of its life stays close to the skin.
Edit
It feels like a mandarin orange soft drink.. I love it!

I thought I’d like this one the most of the three, but it’s actually the one I like the least.
Musty, citrus opening. It smells dusty and old. I tried washing it off, but it wouldn’t go away. When it eventuelly faded I was left with the smell of lemon candy on my skin. Unfortunately, the longevity is extremely good.
Reminded me a little of Acqua Di Parma Colonia, which in my case is not a good thing.
