This is the only lily of the valley scent that I liked, so far.
It is soft, tender and still has a great staying power and projection.
I am surprised how well do sweet neroli notes support the LOTV, softening the sharp edges without interfering.
There is no soapiness in the composition, no bitter-green notes, just glowing, tender, but still unmistakably recognizable LOTV.
    Beautiful.

Fabulous, fabulous! Lily-of-the-valley! Oh my goodness, I love it! And like others say, it’s not harsh at all like other lotv perfumes. It’s the perfect lily-of-the-valley! Beautiful. Gentle and fresh, and caressing me all over. Divine.

A true beautiful Lilly-on-the-valley in great mix with Peony, Cedar and soft green notes. This is not a sharp Lily-of-the-valley – This one is smooth and gentle but shines bright on your skin. A lot different to Diorissimo – a scent I can’t stand. Maybe not a favorite but a nice bottle to have in my handbag.

after i had smelled Diorissimo and a few other soli-flore based on lily-of-the-valley perfumes, i was about to give up an idea to find the one that i would enjoy. they were not bad at all, just too much straightforward and heady. This very one turned to be a big surprise: really fresh and delicate. Yes, it’s lily-of-the-valley , but not giving headache or imposing. I guess it might be cedar that gives a little soft sweetness to it and to my nose makes it similar to L’eau Par Kenzo which is an advantage in my case as i really like the latter.

My favorite is still Guerlain’s Muguet (very fresh and realistic), but this one comes second, it still captures the essence beautifully although green and soapy..
Diorissimo is too sharp and perfumy while AG’s La Muguet doesn’t smell natural enough (too green and powdery)

This is a nice floral at first, but then dries down really green, powdery and perfumy. Old lady.

Starts off quite sweet, smelling of lilac, violets and a hint of lily of the valley. Then, cedary notes, sweet & sour neroli and something fruity. The scent becomes creamy in feel, a bit green in scent, and very soft. The drydown is quite soapy but not heady. I do think it is quite sweet.
Having smelled lily of the valley throughout my childhood in air fresheners, it is quite hard to lose the association. Up to this day most lily of the valley scents remind me of the bathroom at my grandma’s place. This one, however, does not! Yay! It is quite soft and creamy. Best lily of the valley I have ever tried. Longevity and sillage are moderate.

I love this scent. Pure lily of the valley.

I had a sample of this and loved it. When I found a full bottle on sale from a reputable source I jumped at it. Sorry to say it does not smell the same to me. It just smells incredibly soapy. No way can it even approach the wonderful Diorissimo. I will be giving this one away of putting it on e-Bay if, as the hours pass, it does not improve.

It was a blind buy, but I don’t regret purchasing it. This fragrance is divine, I can not get enough of it. I feel like an angel when I use this, it is very uplifting. The packaging is beautiful, aesthetic, luxurious velvet box. I love it!!! Congratulations to Van Cleef & Arpels, this is very well done!

I just adore this, it instantly brings calm and serenity to my day. I have been asked so many times ”what is that amazing perfume you are wearing” need I say any more 🙂

Girls who wears this attches men generally right away. On second thought, it attches women too!

Lily of the Valley in a poetic way. Yes,incredibly reminiscent of Diorissimo, just as gently and somewhat quiet compared to the magnificant Diorissimo.

I love LOTV. For me the quintessential LOTV fragrance is Diorissimo. I’ve recently acquired Guerlain’s 2013 Le Muguet, which is a lovely, soft, clean LOTV with the signature Guerlainade in the dry down. Muguet Blanc is a rich LOTV. It smells like a bunch of the tiny blossoms, heated by the sun. The opening is quite fresh and green, the middle is intoxicating and warm. The dry down is rich maybe from the peony. While LM is a little flower girl, MB is the bride. A beautiful fragrance. I love it!

Just got a bottle of it today. It was a blind buy.
Years ago I got a sample of Le Muguet from Annick Goutal and I loved it. So I wanted a new muguet for my collection. When I saw that MB was only $32.00 from an on-line discounter, I jumped at the chance.
Muguet Blanc starts out smelling like muguet. No problem there… but is is not the scent of lily-of-the-valley picked early in the morning went the air is still cold and crisp. This l-o-t-v is warmer, like is was picked in the midday sun. If you have a lot of l-o-t-v growing at home, you will know what I mean. When a large patch of this lovely flower gets the full sun, the fragrance blooms to a point where it gets warm, musky, and over-powering.
The fragrance then turns green. I have no problem with green scents, but this is not a pretty green phase. It is not a green-chypre type, nor a green-fougère type. This green phase reminds me of the smell of freshly cut tulips sap. It is even a bit like the smell of the water from a flower vase after a week. Don’t get me wrong, it is not a bad green scent. It is an “interesting” green smell, but not what I was hoping for.
Unfortunately, Muguet Blanc then turns soapy. My grandmother had those soaps… The kind that are in the guest bathroom and that you really shouldn’t be using. They give off a powerful scent of nondescrip “flowers”. The kind of soaps that smell cheap even if they cost a fortune.
To me, that is the worse phase of Muguet Blanc. The soapy stage has nothing to do with the l-o-t-v smell. It is only there to remind us that too often, this divine flower is used to “scent” cheap soaps and air fresheners. On me that phase lasts a good 12 hrs!
    5/10

If anybody is interested, FragranceNet is currently selling it unboxed for $39.19! They also are selling it for the same price on Amazon.com and eBay.
Their listing is as follows on these two other sites:
Muguet Blanc by Van Cleef & Arpels Eau de Parfum Spray 2.5 oz Unboxed (on eBay)
Van Cleef & Arpels Muguet Blanc Eau de Parfum Spray ( on Amazon).
Hope somebody will take a chance and score one (or two…)
    😉
I Just received my bottle in the mail. It was a blind buy, but I don’t regret purchasing it. Perfume is so lovely! It is a very delicate muguet perfume with a slight infusion of neroli and peony. One of the most inoffensive perfumes that I have smelled. To me it’s a perfect spring fragrance, very uplifting and cheerful and very tasteful. Really like this one!

The first 20 minutes, I was smelling my wrist and thinking. WOW! This smells as Diorissimo, once upon a time! but less strong and complex. Unfortunatelly, that fresh lovely lily of the valley, faded quickly, and left me with a musky cedar light drydown. I was ready to buy it for it’s top notes, but I’m content now that I didn’t.

It must be difficult to compose true lily of the valley soliflores. I say this because I’ve smelled some pretty ghastly attempts. There is a budget synthetic substitute used in mainstream and drugstore fragrances which to me is just appalling. Fortunately, Van Cleef & Arpels MUGUET BLANC offers nothing of the sort.
This is a true soliflore. I honestly detect nothing but lily of the valley in MUGUET BLANC. Does it mimic nature? I have to say that I’m not entirely sure. My knowledge of lily of the valley derives primarily (or is that entirely?) from perfumes such as Dior DIORISSIMO, a lush lily of the valley, and Tauer CARILLON POUR UN ANGE, which is a super-green lily of the valley.
To me, MUGUET BLANC is far less complicated and much more clear, even limpid, than either the Dior or the Tauer. As a perfume, I like it less than both of those more complex compositions. But I have enjoyed wearing this creation, fleeting though it was on my skin. I was surprised, actually, at how poor the longevity was relative to the other members of the Collection Extraordinaire. I would not buy a bottle for that reason, but I do think that this is ten times better than Coty MUGUET DES BOIS, as it should be, at ten (or is that twenty?) times the price.

I am not a big fan of lily of the valley, but Muguet Blanc is a young demure muguet which is really delightful to wear. Definitely a Muguet soliflore. If i compare it to Diorissimo , well Diorissimo is an elegant, sharp and green Muguet, almost a metallic scent, in Muguet Blanc the lily of the valley is tender and more rounded. A very nice creation, lovely for spring, summer and fall.

    A luxurious and angelic scent!
The true nature of Lilly of the Valley can truly radiate
from one’s skin with this magnificent scent.
    A true treasure!

I have a sample from Lucky Scents. Very nice on application, can really smell the lily-of-the-valley, but it disappears so very fast, not sure that it is worth it.

I sampled this fragrance today as part of my fierce search to find a memorable bridal scent. I’ve been taking it in all day, and I really like it. It’s giving Balenciaga Paris quite the competition. I’m not as experienced in perfume language as all of you are, but I really dig this scent.

I agree with the description that systeme_d wrote.
This is the best lily of the valley soliflore that I have ever tried. It unveils the green aspect of the flower and its soapyness. It’s really natural smelling.
I would have said that there was lilac too.

This is nothing short of fabulous! The whole group is wonderful, very high quality, and this version of Muguet is one of the best I have ever tried – chilly perfection that never gets watery or sweet. Magnificent.
