Impressive, weird, sophisticated and powerful! At the beginning is very strong with the leather immediately notice out, over time becomes beautifully floral with rose accents… there’s also something woody! a special perfume for special occasions, the sillage is above average, very good longevity…nice!!
Sillage: 8./10
Longevity: 8./10
Scent: 8.5/10

The fragrance opens with a green-floral blast (linden, green watery rose and cassis)… It starts sweet-ish and sparkling with a remarkably classic, sort of leathery-chyprey vibe but it rapidly turns into an hyper-modern dry sandalwood with milky facets and sharp woody-incensey undertones.
It’s actually pretty stunning how the fragrance transitions from a sparkling and sort of transparent opening to the opaque-milky woody drydown..
As usual with H&G, the fragrance plays several mainstream-oriented accords while Laudamiel’s treatment provides a solid quirky twist. Not as striking and unconventional as Skarb yet pretty satisfying. Fans of high quality synth-woods, take note.
Words of caution: gross on paper. Smells like full fat milk. On skin, on the other hand, the milky aspect gets brutally tamed down and serves as a necessary counterpart to soften the sharp woody notes creating an interesting juxtaposition.
Rating: 7/10

I have a sample of this fragrance and all I can smell when the scent touches my skin is leather ( black strong smelling leather).I find this scent extremely masculin and I can not smell at all the rose. Contraversial fragrance, very intrigue. Can not make my mind up if I like or dislike….

I recently discovered a cache of Humiecki & Graef samples which I had apparently set aside because I could not read what the labels said. (-; The samples were originally from Aus Liebe zum Duft, and I cannot tell whether they were only partial samples to begin with or they were full but evaporated! I suspect the former. Were these perhaps sent to me by Vickalena? Now there’s a woman with excellent taste!
CLEMENCY opens with a quasi-galbanum-esque quality beloved to chypre aficionados, and it mingles enticingly with leather. At first, I thought that this was going to be too rough and sharp, but within a couple of minutes it smoothed out to produce a seriously full-bottle-worthy perfume. The woods, the leather, and the light rose note make this a fine choice for gals or guys. To my nose this is closer to a floral-leather chypre than an oriental composition.
Not at all sweet, but with enough florality to balance the leather, CLEMENCY is a perfume which I can highly recommend for testing by people who like real perfume. (You know who you are…)

I found this floral to be slightly on the “harsh” side; I didn’t get that much leather, it was predominately rose and linden blossom to my nose. Longevity was great and projection was fairly decent, but the scent itself seemed too heavy-handed for my liking.
romeu79 – :
In the opening, I detected the linden blossom, cassis, and milk. As the heart emerged, it became slightly soapy and the linden blossom seemed to intensify, while the leather note slowly crept in. It seemed like the scent was really evolving. Now that the base has developed, it is all rose and leather (which smells like “oily leather” on me). Very unappealing on my skin chemistry!

On me there is a very strong smell of leather mixed with something flowery and maybe soapy. Can’t detect the rose at all. Not pleasant, almost giving me a headache. Luckily it was only a small sample from Luckyscent…
I don’t see the resemblance to Rose Poivree at all…

I agree with donniekaterina on this fragrance being beautifully weird. It is!
On applying the cassis and leather are most prominent but after a while these two settle and there comes a very nice blend. The milk and linden starts to rise…
I chose this frag to test because I love all the notes except I was not too sure about the cassis.
I must tell that this one is beautifully composed , I adore it.
I think the picture above is showing what it is…there is the warmth of love but this love is not a spoiling one. This love is controlled to be able to help and guide the ones we care for.
Agettefiesk – :
That is beautifully weird. It’s spicy and peppery not too strong cause of the presence of milk which lighten the strong notes of coriander and cassis.I like how rose blends with spices. The relationship of the ingredients are harmonious. It could be a better and lighter version of Rose poivree by The Different Company.
