To me, this scent smells a little of generic soap. Inoffensive and clean but also a little bland. I don’t get many of the citrusy notes so it’s primarily sweet. I’m considering getting another demeter fragrance (this was my first) that’s a little more fresh to layer with this one. I do like the smell, but feel like it could use something more. I know it’s supposed to be simple, but I guess I expected a little more from this blind buy

I really love this perfume! It is a very light, feminine scent that reminds me of an innocent “first perfume” scent that a young girl may own. Very pretty and light, doesn’t last long for me but I have a rollerball so it’s easy to re-apply. I also tried Clean brand’s “Skin” scent out of curiosity, and definitely Demeter’s scent won the challenge for me 🙂

Does it smells like clean skin? Yes! It surely does! But if I had to picture the person who wears that clean skin it would certainly be someone over 60 years old… Nothing bad with this, just something to take in consideration before buying… I think it’s the Powdery effect of the rose in it that gives it it’s more mature vibe…

This smells of baby oil with a slightly sweeter and powdery opening. It even feels a bit oily. The dry down is straight out of the bath (when you used baby oil)

You know how when you just step from the shower and dry off, your skin is still very warm from the heat of the hot water and you can still smell the sweet smelling soap you used? That’s what this scent seems to mimic for me. When it dries down, it’s a soft, slightly powdery, sweet scent that lingers long after the shower has been had. Great to put on straight out of the shower actually. It’s a cologne concentration, but it wears for a good 4-5 hours if not longer. More like an eau de toilette. Sillage is intimate, but that’s ok for a skin scent like this. I agree, it does remind of Allure.

I quit blind buy no matter what, but this was offered for 8 USD. When I spray it, for 2 seconds I felt hair spray, but fortunately it was gone quickly. I guess it was supposed to be top citrus notes. Then I can smell some kind of sweet (not too much) bubble gum with fruit flavour I can not really identify. And drydown, well, the hair spray scent is back. Well, IMO clean skin should smell totally different, this is not even close. I thought it is my chemistry, so I tried it on a paper as well, and smell a bit better on it, but still not my kind of scent.
When it looks too good to be true, it is usually not! Also agree with DonnyOsmond below.

This is exactly like Allure (EDP) !!! I feel musk in the drydown, though is not even listed. Is rather a sweet fragrance, not so fresh. I really like it!

I get lots of lemon, bergamot, and orange smells. It does smell very clean indeed! However, it seems to be lasting longer on my clothes rather than my skin… But I do like it overall. This is my first Demeter frag.

This smells like baby oil upon first spray, but it quickly becomes citrusy and musky. I really love it. However, it has no sillage and doesn’t last long. Which makes me sad, because it’s such a great day scent.
Also, I detect no peach, vanilla, or rose.
I guess it’s what skin smells like straight out of a bath. If you used Ivory soap, and applied a small amount of baby lotion/powder afterwards.
Edit: The drydown is a bit musty. The real drydown actually comes 8hrs later (I know this because I smelled it when I woke up). It smells like sour baby powder and it makes my throat hurt.
My boyfriend says the perfume smells like a baby’s bottom.

I was intrigued by this because of the comments comparing it to peaches and Johnsons & Johnsons (two of my favorite scents). I guess I have a weird nose or something because my take on this is much different than the reviews I read.
I wanted to like it, but to me it just smells like a generic ladies perfume. I was hoping for something less perfumy and more subtle and natural. Not sure where the “clean skin” comes in. This reminds me of walking through the perfume section of Sears after people have been spritzing all day. Florals on top of citrus on top of musk. Too busy for me, I’ll stick to the baby powder scent.

I don’t know about “Clean Skin” But it is more “fresh from the Shower”. I like it more than I expected to. It’s light, clean and fresh. Nothing offensive here.

exactly as it says on the tin. this smells like stepping out of a bubble bath. i get no fruity notes, only soap. i personally enjoy it, but i don’t think i’ll purchase it again. i guess it’s great for people who love the smell of simple soap.

It smells so naturaly, like a warm, clean skin (but there are no soapy or aquatic notes). Very sexy, very “smooth”.
It reminds me very much of Allure, but it is not so intensive (that’s why I like it).
It stays very close to skin.
I was surprised to smell it on my skin 6 hours after applying. It’s Eau de Cologne and its lasting power is really good.
I would recommend it to those who find Allure too strong or/and too expensive.

I agree with Gitsella. It does smell like a lighter version of Allure EDP. Starts out slightly citrus-y, but only for a minute or two, and then peachy rose with a hint of vanilla.
I also agree with GartenGnome. This is a magical elixir that makes me smell sooo damn good it’s just not fair. LOVE this and became an instant favorite!

All wrapped up in a big fluffy cotton bath towel which has been kissed by fabric softener.

This is really nice-I expected it to smell like soap because of the name and it does…in a way.It smells like the peach Caress body wash.A lot.I have some and they are very similar;a soft vanilla with peach and a touch of rose.This is more ‘perfumey’ than the average Demeter but I still like it a lot.

I’m big on all these fresh, clean scents … I think they speak to where we are today. I’m not giving up my orientals … But I do have a special place for these type of fragrances.

I think that this fragance have a really original name ( like many of other demeter fragances) and it seems to be really fresh .
