I wish they would bring this back- even if it is only a limited edition each Xmas. It is lush, lavish and I always fetchedcompliments with this one. In a time when chocolate is now being put back into perfume blends, it would make sense for BBW to consider this. The blend was well done, and we have heard it all before, but some of their older frags were nicely done whereas some of the newer is a bit on the sweetie pie edge. Are we just lab rats for this company which probably gets or gives inspiration to perfume makers? Think: Black Amethyst came out and was a success. Then after that, Coco Mademoiselle came along. Just wondering. So since divine chocolate has made a come back let’s just rev our engines and ask the older choco frags to reappear. I am talking about Chocolate Delicious too out there in Hollywood! Wake up America and smell the chocolate!

This is WAY too strong for me. It reminds me of BBW Dark Amber for men. I can’t wear it without feeling like I accidentally doused myself in my husband’s cologne. Sad, because I adore chocolate gourmand scents and I really wanted to like this. I’ll try layering it with something softer but I doubt anything will calm it down!

A dark chocolate cake! Who wants some?!
This is so delicious. It smells like a chocolate dessert. I don’t know how they did it. All the notes are based around chocolate and musk so that it smells kind of masculine unisex but still enjoyable as a woman’s perfume with sweet notes of honey, fruit, florals and vanilla. The first spritz is lemony and citrusy with a tart berry. Then there’s pineapple scent in the background.
The honey is what most jumps out at me. Honey and vanilla, gooey, sweet, like a mixture of honey and chocolate together. The floral notes are rose and jasmine but they’re not key players. They’re there to provide this scent with a floral sweetness. The fruit is a bigger player and you can indeed detect each fruit note those berries which smell like cranberry, and pineapple and lemon. Smells like it would taste good!
At the dry down a patchouli and musk seem to emerge and it’s totally a guy’s cologne, darker, deeper, a bit Oriental. A guy can pull this off as none of the notes really come off as super feminine, but neither do they come off as too masculine. It’s pretty light and casual, just a gourmand scent to wear in the winter time. It smells like the inside of a Starbucks or coffee house and I do wear this to drink coffee with my boyfriend Stephen when we like to get away and not spend too much money at home for coffee drinks. This smells like coffee too, chocolate scented coffee but not as you’re drinking it, like the scent you get while in the café as a mixture of other flavored coffee scents in the air.
This is a warm delicious honey, chocolate and vanilla. There is supposed to be amber? It’s honey. Lots of great honey. I am loving it.
I don’t wear this too often but it’s my Stephen’s favorite fragrance on me. He said it smells like a chic French girl so I’m ok with that!

Gourmand deliciousness. A lot of different notes that for whatever reason works. Citrus, berries, pineapple, honey, rose, orchid, jasmine, patchouli musk and vanilla. Someone told me it’s like a lighter version of Tom Ford Black Orchid. I have never tried Black Orchid so I can’t speak on behalf of that fragrance. This one is very sweet and yet strong. It smells fruity, chocolatey and vanillic. It has a distinct chocolate scent that along with the fruity pineapple and orchid has a tropical flair. The musk and patchouli are not ugly so don’t worry about it smelling bad on your skin if you dislike patchouli or musk. I would say that it does have some unisex/masculine qualities but it’s still pretty sweet and wearable for women. It has a good life span of about 5 hours (not bad really) and it does wear like an evening cologne. Something to wear on a dinner date. Very foody sweet fruity chocolate gourmand fragrance for those of us that love to smell like we can be eaten. And then get eaten.

It’s interesting because this came out before the sugar drenched dark berry fruitchoulis that are so popular that this seems new in comparison. Love it as a lotion.

My Co worker just gave me two lotions of this and I LOVE it. It is deep and sensual. Not really sweet, but sensual. I smell Amber, Vanilla, Patchouli, and a tad of Dark Chocolate. So sad this was discontinued. Luckily my coworker had a stock of it.

In theory, this scent would be excellent for layering with Angel or Aquolina Chocolovers. On cold sniff, this is a very warm and quite sweet combo of hot chocolate and amber. It’s straightforward and I had it in a body butter and really liked wearing it to bed. The EDT was not as creamy to my nose, but still decent. Like Whit and Mrs. Hollywood, one day I just didn’t like it anymore. It is cloyingly sweet and this is coming from someone who wears Angel, La Vie Est Belle, JS Fancy, etc. The main issue with this scent is that the chocolate can turn a little plasticky and synthetic. I am a huge fan of gourmand scents but this was pushing it for me. I also noticed that others did not seem to care for this scent on me, which did not stop me from wearing it, but it can be very heady. As luck would have it, BBW dc’d this and every other decent scent they ever made.

I used to love this fragrance a few years ago when it was new. I really stocked up when it got discontinued so that I’d never run out, but I don’t use it much anymore. I got sick of it.
When I first spray it on I notice some chocolate, but mostly pachouli and musk.
After the drydown I can only detect amber for the most part.
It smells like I dipped my whole body in a pot of amber. Overpowering. I never noticed it so much in the past, maybe my body chemistry changed. Or maybe the bottle is too old.
It gives me a headache lately because it’s too strong for me now. I don’t know how I ever loved it so much. It also has heavy sillage. And a masculine feel to it too.

I love, love this scent and will grieve when it is gone. Due to headaches I can’t wear many perfumes but this one is a delight. It begins as a warm, soft powder and then matures into a soft scent that wafts tendrils of chocolate. It isn’t overwhelming to those around you. I hope to find another scent with exactly the same notes.

Sensual Amber is my favorite so I picked this up. At first I didn’t like it, too masculine and I don’t smell the chocolate or the amber very strongly. But it grew on me. Defiantly a ‘mature’ scent.

I had this scent when I was in college and I didn’t appreciate it and put it away. I found the musk too abrasive and dirty. Now I have come to find it delicious! I have received many compliments on this scent. It is a gourmand that succeeds in also being dark and less innocent than most. It should not have been discontinued it is very original I’ve never smelled the like. It brings out the sexy in chocolate.

@sharyssa-I agree 100%.B&BW has lost me as a customer because everything from them smells exactly the same. They come out with a ‘new’ scent every few months but it is almost identical to the one before it.I used to love this scent and I really miss when B&BW was in it’s ‘heyday’ and came out with beautiful and ORIGINAL scents:not dupes of their own stuff:/

i wish i would have been on my b&bw kick back when this was available. i have bought pretty much every scent they have available recently only because i am really lovin the lotions but im getting tired of the vanilla and the citrus and pomogranate smells they offer i want this one! i do like sensual amber but i imagine this one to smell better i love chocolate smells!!!!!!!!!!! hopefully one day they will sell it again and take the dreadful brown sugar fig off the market (i liked it until my lotion turned watery) but oh well if not i hope they leave the fruity stuff alone for a while and bring in some more warm scents.

Very similar to Sensual Amber, but not as sweet on the uptake and does dry down to the more “masculine” side of things, but who cares? That’s the (as one person called “mentholated”) patchouli, musk and dry non-sweet chocolate making their appearance.
This is a lovely scent. I never tried it when it was offered by BBW and now I’m stuck paying 3X as much for a damn bottle (of body splash) and it irks me. I wrote BBW and asked them to consider bringing it back. its one of the few more “grown up” scents that BBW offers… (two others being Dark Kiss and Forever Sunshine IMHO).
This really is a great layering scent to add depth or sensuality to some other perfume you own that feels too linear. This may be a fall/winter only, but I have not tried it in hot weather, so I’ll get back to you on that!
I also agree that any fruit chords are lost on my nose. *shrug*. But I am not sure I’d want fruit with this.
Very Oriental, very amber, very nice.
    Dear BBW,

I’m not sure why people aren’t getting chocolate because I get lots and lots of it.
The great thing about this scent is that it lasts forever..at least on me it does. I only wear this one sparingly and only during colder months (I learned my lesson behind that trying to wear it during a hot summer day!!) because its just too much to wear otherwise.
I don’t get anything manly either at drydown. Maybe its because my bottle is uber old and I purchased this when it first came out, but it smells very femme on me. I smell honey, chocolate, vanilla, and some florals after drydown. I do NOT get any pineapple though.
I wish it were not discontinued though, am going to miss it when my bottle runs out.

I had the body wash and lotion once upon a time. I loved it at first because it was so gourmand to me; the chocolate notes really stood out on my skin. Then one day, out of the blue, I began to dislike it. It started to give me a headache from the overbearing sweetness (rare for me). I quickly gave it away to my sister before I began to completely loathe it. I did find the lasting power pretty impressive though. It’s a great fall/winter frag with it’s ambery-chocolate deliciousness, I just wish I hadn’t got tired of it because it truly was one of my faves from BBW. I still love you chocolate amber and maybe one day your sweetness won’t be too much for me and I’ll revisit you.

I don’t “get” this one. I had Sensual Amber and liked it. So when I read about Chocolate Amber, I had to try it. Talk about disappointment. I was hoping for the chocolate note to stand out a little. I have to agree with daisyann and katietwo, it’s masculine. My nose must be screwed on wrong too. No chocolate or fruitiness of any kind that I can detect at all. I can’t even tell you what I smell, it’s so… odd. On me it’s dry, loud, and heavy. Maybe I got a bad bottle?

wow i dont smell any fruit in this! I love this because it reminds me of Chantilly by Houbigant, and that is what my grandmother used to wear. I can defantley see why some on here would say that it smells kind of masculin, because it sortta does. But over all it is made for a woman. The chocolate is hardly present in this and it’s weird but nither is the amber???? weird right. However I do smell honey and lots of it, and a subtle beautiful dusty orchid. The chocolate & amber are like the middle notes and come and go so fast you dont really have time to think about it. I showed my youngest sister this on my wrist and asked her who it reminded her of, she said “grandma stubbs”. I was so happy because thats who it reminded me of too. Over all this is an amazing perfume and I love love it. This is not gourmand, because I a gourmand lover from way back. It is super sensual and defanitly and oriental no matter what.

To my nose, this one smells like tons of sweet/candy/gourmand fragrance out there. For instant, CanCan by Paris Hilton and Fancy by Jessica Simpson come right to might, less fruity though. Short-lasting.

My nose must be put on wrong because this smells very mentholated for me and I can’t smell the chocolate. Even the amber. Well, maybe a little. It indeed leans towards the masculine side as mentioned before. Maybe I’d appreciate it more smelling it on somebody else. Someone male.

I don’t get a lot of chocolate in this one. It’s a complex, layered oriental, fairly heavy and fruity and while I can admire it’s structure and see where it will be a knock out to some people, I don’t care for it for myself. It’s not offensive, but it is heavy, and I felt weighed down by it. Mind you, I do wear fairly heavy perfumes at times, but usually I steer clear of the orientals, and this totally qualifies. Interesting, but ultimately not something I want to wear or smell.

I bought this perfume about a year ago and I love to wear it mostly in the winter time, I guess cuz it gives you that warm cozy feeling. But for some reason I always reach for this one when I’m on that time of the month! I don’t know if it’s the incredible chocolatey smell or what, but it makes me feel better and it curbs PMS symptoms too. Try it, you’ll see!

It’s a bit on the masculine side, but I think it’s a scent that men seem to like. You really can detect the chocolate note in it. As with all other Bath and Body Works fragrances, it lasts only a little while.

I love this scent almost as much as Sensual Amber.. my sister and mom love it more so. If you want a chocolatey touch added to the Sensual, get this.

I like the initial chocolate and fruits that I can smell initially. I am just a little confused when it dries down, it smells similar to men’s perfume…not bad, just weird.
