Description

Chloé Fleur de Parfum appears in July 2016 as a new edition of the popular rose fragrance Chloe Eau de Parfum from 2008. Chloé Fleur de Parfum retains the character of the original with additional “flower charm” in an attempt to display a rose bouquet in powdery beige. It is described as a naturally elegant and sensual veil that covers the skin.

The delicate and powdery composition is a work of perfumers Michel Almairac and Mylene Alran, who tried to evoke the essence of a flower in its full bloom. The perfume allegedly contains rose pistil. With pistil rose and its fruity and spicy undertones, the additional accords include fresh and sparkling verbena blossom, almondy cherry blossom and powdery rice.

The face of the perfume is Dree Hemingway. The fragrance arrives as the standard bottle form of the collection, decorated with a beige ribbon around its neck. It is available as a 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Parfum.

I used up a sample vial of this alongside Chloe EDP and Roses de Chloe EDT. This one is like a less-good version of Chloe. It was too strong for me, personally. I used up the whole sample vial but it was just meh.

Chloe Fleur opens up with a high pitched floral that is quite indistinguishable to my nose. The top notes evoke a sense of open air on a cool morning, a blue sky and slightly cold breezes. The middle notes are leafy. Thanks to the black currant, the backbone of this scent is quite fresh and masculine, which sets this perfume apart from other floral perfumes. Overall impression is that it’s very wearable and inoffensive, but can be unique if the wearer notice the difference in details.
Note: This is a rewritten review. My previous review was not very in depth.

@socorrosouza Point taken! Btw I’m really disappointed that this doesn’t work for me at all. I guess I’m just not into very ‘clean’ fragrances (or, rather, they’re not into me!)

Dear Ladylva, never forget the qualifier “on my skin”. On my skin (and many others, I believe) this is absolute perfection, a rosy green citrusy scent that has good longevity and sillage.

I’ve never worn any Chloe fragrances – Idk, I just never found them interesting or intriguing. Everything just screams ‘meh’ – from the bottles, to the colour of the juices, to the unoriginal ads… Anyway, I received a 2ml sample of Chloe Fleur de parfum with another purchase and decided to give it a try. And… meh. It’s very generic; smells like a rose scented shampoo or body wash, but it also contains a rather nauseating citric component that smells like a cheap laundry powder. Between shampoo and detergent, there’s nothing to get excited about. I guess this could only appeal to girls who are complete novices to the world of fragrances.

Very nice fragrance. A work colleage wears it everyday and i asked what it was. She said it was Fleur from Chloè and then i decided to test it today. On her, it smells like a slightly spicy white floral, i don’t know if it is the verbena that makes this. On me, it is a bit fresher and less flowery and a bit powdery. It reminded me of the Boss Ma Vie line. On her, it projects much better than on me. I like it, i think it is good for spring. It is a nice and feminine perfume, but not something i would buy for me.

If I checked Chloe fleur’s notes I probably wouldn’t test it.I’m not into citrus dominant perfumes and I have more than enough rosey perfumes for someone who only sometimes craves rose.
I never had original Chloe, but I have Chloe intense which I don’t like much and it has nothing to do with this one
Chloe fleur is a very refreshing scent of fresh florals and citruses.rose is definitely there, but it’s not a warm and heavy rose and it doesn’t resemble rose water. It makes a pretty and youthful floral accord hand in hand with cherry blossom.and yes, there’s verbena which plays an important role in making chloe fleur unique and more appealing to me.this floral accord has a touch of fruity, spicy and a slight green undertone and it’s followed by grapefruit and bergamot.it dries down to a clean, softly powdered lemony-floral scent which is pretty enough to make me add it to my wantlist but I have to test it once again on skin
I was shocked to see lots of negative reviews. It’s so nice and lovely and easy to love but not generic.it doesn’t smell much soapy on me.I can get where does the cleaning product refer comes from, yes I felt that a bit too,but I didn’t find it unpleasant .I love how fizzy citruses,a hint of spicy, green note(probably verbena),a pretty, feminine rose with fruity undertone, something very clean and cool like newly washed linen are mixed together and the result while is rather comforting while being energizing and refreshing
If you’re looking for a citrus scent which is also very feminine,a nice blend of citruses and florals(it’s not heavily floral)and fruits(just a whisper of them),spice, green notes(but not grassy ones)and clean notes) make sure to try this one.it lasted for a good couple of hours on blotter so longevity seems to be pretty good but even if it’s not that good on skin I don’t care as long as I like how it smells .I’m usually into gourmands and warm, heavy, sweet fragrances so I’m glad to find a fresh and clean spring and summer scent that I really enjoy

Zingy & Zesty . Lemon flash anyone ?
    Only kidding ….
it does have a cleaning product air about it though .. but it is still pretty .
It is really spritely and energising , the citrus never goes away .. it reminds me also of a lemon merringue.
It is Soapy and musky .. clean & fresh
    I have a 5 ml tester …
i dont know if i would buy it .. but i would certainly wear it if it was a gift .
UPDATE : it also vanishes after around an hour . Basically another fleeting perfume along with most of the current perfumes . What is it with them of lately??

Just have a tester of this and I’m having some fun trying out things that I may not usually seek out. I do love roses, grow many varieties and surprisingly this actually smells dead on like one of the species I grow. The scent (of the rose variety) is described as “citrusy and fresh” which perfectly coincides with the notes here. I can definitely smell the peach/fruity note a little further in as well. This is probably not a fragrance I would buy unless I stumble on it at a bargain. It’s really pretty, like something to wear on a beautiful summer day with a nice dress. My personal taste runs more towards sweet gourmands, but I appreciate the airy beauty of this floral.

Had they asked me, this would have been called Chloe Citrus.
It does share the same DNA as Chloe edp, but the rose is more in the background and topped of with a dose of lemon and bergamot. This makes the fragrance more summery and more ‘fun’, like sitting in the sun with a good beer.
Good times, but I personally prefer a little more depth. Or maybe it is just the citrus not developing at its best on my skin…
If you like Chloe and citrus notes, I can strongly recommend this fragrance. I’ll stick to my original epd and edt.
btw: the ad with the naked lady holding the roses looks rather inconvenient…

The verbena is very intense in the opening and smells a lot like lemon pledge. After that settles, there is rose mixed with a little almondy cherry blossom. The dry down is soft rice and musk. I like it but don’t love it. I don’t think I would ever purchase it.

  13. :

    5 out of 5

It’s nice but rather pointless as it smells 95% like Chloe EDP and 5% like something new. If you already own Chloe EDP then buying this would be like one of those superfans who already has the CD of their favorite artist but they go ahead and buy the special UK version even though it only has one difterent song and everything else is the same.
So if you’re a Chloe superfan, go for it. If you don’t already own Chloe, then feel free to do a side by side comparison and pick your favorite. I love my Chloe so I’m always looking for a new flanker but this is too similar.

This is so weird to my nose. It literally smells like the Chloe EdP fragrance mixed with those jelly candy orange slices and orange soda. From top to bottom it smells of this bizarre combination. I like Chloe and I like orange scents and I love gourmands but I do not like this.

  15. :

It’s pretty forgettable. Smells great but is a standard powdery floral that wears off after three hours. Only wear this to bed because my husband loves it.

  16. :

A gentle truly lovely scent. Mostly rose at first, then a citrus blended with something I love, a happy time. Not sure what exactly – probably a mix of bergamot, cherry blossom, and cedar. I see rice in the list. Not sure what a pure rice scent would be. Very hard to beat a fragrance with a note that makes me think of a happy time.
For such a subtle fragrance it lasts a long time. On my wish list.

  17. :

    5 out of 5

It’s similar to the original Chloé EDP with loads of citrus notes thrown in but not the same scent. If you like citrus with rose you might like this one. Even L’Eau de Chloé has citrus and green notes but it’s very different from Fleur. Personally, I don’t find this special enough for the price it commands. It’s a bit weird…. with verbena, bergamot, grapefruit, peach all thrown into the Chloé EDP. After the initial citrus fruit blast, it dries down to pretty floral notes but not the same as the original and also loses its strength much sooner.

Wonderful fragrance, just like the 2008 original version- it tones down just the same! As soon as the citrusy notes wear off, you can smell the same fragrance of the original Chloe EDP. Delicate, I think, is the best definition for this perfume. This is not a sweet one…not a ‘bombshell fragrance’…so if you like scents like Hypnotic Poison, Flowerbomb or L Lolitta Lempicka, this is definitely not for you.
The combination of petals and slightly citrusy notes is perfect, a scent for elegant women and not at all overpowering- but still, you can smell it.I would say that you can wear anytime, day or night. It is also wearable for work- it won’t disturb picky noses… I am a big fan of Chloe EDP and Love, I think both perfumes translate elegance and discretion at the same time. This one evokes really nice memories, and for me it is a must have- it is usually in my purse.

When i look at the notes im surprised cause all i snel is heavy citrus:(

  20. :

    3 out of 5

Well, in general, I do not have luck with Chloe fragrances, but this one is an exception. A soft rose with the citrus keeping it from being too pungent of a rose scent. I also pick up the verbena, making this fresher and not so rose-dominant. But make no mistake, the rose is still front and center, just not as loud and proud as some other Chloe fragrances. Much softer than many previous Chloe offerings. Being someone who cannot tolerate a heavy rose, but still likes enjoying a soft, subtle rose scent, this one works very well for me. The bottle is also pretty, but that is just a side-note.

  21. :

    5 out of 5

I initially hated this one because the top notes are intense like citrus floor cleaner. However, I love the original, so I sprayed some on and walked around. I’m so glad I did this, because the scent is AMAZING when it fades to it’s base notes. This one’s a keeper and is very long lasting.

  22. :

Nice it’s simple with blended notes of citrus and rose!

  23. :

It really does smell like the original Chloe fragrance with a real citrusy twist, fresh and summery. Long lasting.

  24. :

Chloe Fleur de Parfum is the first flanker that doesn’t smell like a Chloe EDP clone. This fragrance is so fresh and citrusy that it barely resembles the original Chloe. For this reason alone, I am rather enjoying this new release.
Chloe Fleur de Parfum would be perfect for Spring and Summer. It opens with somewhat watered-down notes of bergamot and grapefruit, followed by a soapy rose, cherry blossom and peach blend. The overall scent is super clean and laundry-fresh.
This Chloe flanker comes in the form of an EDP and has excellent longevity and moderate sillage on my skin. At this present point in time I am enjoying this fragrance much more than the original, and even more so than her many subsequent flankers.
Sadly Chloe Fleur de Parfum hasn’t been well received by fans of the original Chloe. It’s a lot less rosy than its predecessors and more focused on crisp citrusy accords. It reminds me a little of another now discontinued Chloe flanker, L’Eau de Chloe.
All that matters from my perspective is that I have discovered a Chloe flanker that appeals to my tastes. Although I probably wouldn’t buy a bottle of Chloe Fleur de Parfum at the price it is now in-store, I would love to own a bottle at some point in the future.

This is my first time testing out a Chloe fragrance and it has left me dissapointed. I enjoy clean floral scents, but this one just borders too much on the glade room spray side on my skin for me to find it enjoyable or wearable. Sillage was about a foot on me and lasting power was average at 4hours.

  26. :

    4 out of 5

This is a little acidic, with a homeopathic level of spice and overall very light, which is probably a mercy because it’s also synthetic and dull. It is as floral and elegant as a can of Glade. There’s something stripping and detergenty about it, never mind clean. I never seem to get on with Chloe’s, which is a shame as I quite like the bottles. The best I can say about this is it becomes similar to Givenchy’s Jarden Precieux but without the sweetness.

I always try so hard to branch out away from my sweet perfumes. I love the boozy, rich vanillas and caramels, but I always dream of falling in love with a lovely floral.
I blind bought this on a whim after reading the notes. I had assumed the brighter, lighter opening would fit my needs. I always admired the original Chloe, but felt it unwearable to me.
The initial blast of citrus is a bit off putting, combined with the typical alcohol scent of fragrance, it takes a moment to settle before it becomes wearable. The citrus lingers through most of the day, but upon settling, the sweet, powdery rose starts to shine through.
I love how light, fresh, and easy this fragrance is. I find it extremely wearable, sweeter than the original, but still very floral. It’s crisp and feminine. So happy to have this in my collection!

I’m a great fan of the original Chloe EDP, but after testing Chloe Fleur I found myself completely enchanted by the bright citrus and warm peachy notes atop the familiar Chloe clean/pink/rose scent. It doesn’t have the same longevity, though, but improves its longevity really well when layered on top of Chloe EDP.

Chloe Fleur de Parfum is Jardin en Mediterranee with sugar. Its weird but its nice, i would wear that, has a hint of Chloe edp too.
Also has very strong resemblance to the 2015 edt which was more floral, and Fleur is more citrusy ( the irony)
This should be easy to wear in summer because of the citrusy notes, if you are Chloe fan but Chloe is too heavy in the heat.

Chloé Fleur de Parfum has been in my wardrobe for a while now. I went out to buy the original Chloé but that day my perfume shop ran out of stock. The nice sales lady suggested Chloé Fleur and on a whim I bought it. At first I was rather disappointed with Fleur, it was fresh and “nice” but not remarkable. It was designated to the “everyday/work/not in the mood for anything special” pile and thus it became a fresh, light, inoffensive fragrance I often wore to work. Is Chloé Fleur fresh, light and inoffensive? Absolutely. But there is so much more to this perfume than that. Recently I spritzed on some Fleur, then went about my day. I don’t know if the climate, my hormones, mood and whatever else affects your skin chemistry miraculously aligned but suddenly I caught a whiff of a sweet and beautiful scent. I held up my wrist to my nose and yes, it was Chloé Fleur. Fleur came into full bloom for me (pardon the pun) on that day. Suddenly I could smell more than just the clean citrus opening. Beautiful aquatic rose peeked through the verbena and other citrus. Cherry blossom gave Fleur an exotic and almost earthy quality. The rice appeared giving Fleur a powdery quality, not a cosmetic powder but more of a slightly sweet gourmet powdery effect. It is beautiful. How did I overlook this dimension of Chloé Fleur? This is so much more than just a clean citrus scent, there is a beautiful sheer, aquatic and almost ethereal element to fleur. I think of sheer pink chiffon waving around in a warm summer breeze when I smell Fleur. Chloé Fleur is a whimsical innocent scent that displays it’s ethereal beauty only in the right circumstances. This is a midsummer scent, it does well in hot weather. Do not dismiss Chloé Fleur too easily as I did, give it a fair trail and you might be pleasantly surprised. The silage is soft, it envelops you like your own little fairy dream hidden from the rest of the world. Chloé Fleur became my daily secret weapon, my portal to a summery meadow filled with flowers and joy.

On first spray I was definitely NOT a fan. The citrus was too synthetic and reminiscent of Pledge. I put Fleur down and decided to buy the original edp. However, as I continued browsing the duty-free shop, sniffing my wrist along the way, Fleur developed further. As the signature Chloe floral came through, the citrus became sweeter, fresher, and very complimentary. By the time 20 min had passed I was in love. While the two are reminiscent for sure, Fleur is certainly a fresher, more youthful take on the original.

I don’t like it. Very fancy botle and price, but the scent itself is nothing special, quite boring. It reminds me of some cleaning product, too soapy for me. It’s like L’occitane verbena shover gel. My relationship with Chloe perfumes ends here.

  33. :

    3 out of 5

All I can smell is citrus. It’s light, and just boring to me.

  34. :

Smells like fresh laundry and clean cotton. It’s very, very heavy on the cleanliness, it’s almost bitter. I was surpised to see no cotton flower actually.
Overall, it’s soapy. There’s no other way to describe this one. The fresh rose that’s in Chloe EDP isn’t fresh, it’s turned bitter. This in no way is bad, it’s just so wrist cracking CLEAN!

  35. :

    4 out of 5

Smells like a soft combination of citrus and Rose type florals. Very subdued, not overpowering, but there’s nothing that screams “buy this now!” to me.

It’s like they turned the dial down just a tad on the original, and suddenly it is perfect for me. Might be FB worthy.

I sadly returned this , because it has no staying power and it’s great n fresh but just does not last maybe two hours max. Quite expensive for no lasting power. Exchanged for Elizabeth and james BOURBON!!

I rather differ than others on this fragrance… I actually prefer this over the original which was a bit over bitter or strong ….this version is much better …fresh clean and femme crisp…great for spring and fall air… don’t feel it’s cheap smelling at all…maybe ppl spray too much on…two sprays all u need. Good Chemistry is a must .

  39. :

    5 out of 5

Smells very cheap like pure alcohol. Maybe it’s the green citrus in the opening. I imagine animal urine. Like that accidental whiff of a dog urinating on a sidewalk as you walk by and the scent is lifted up in the air by an current. Not a fan of verbena & grapefruit. This scent comes off as a very inexpensive cologne rather than a smooth buttery fragrance that wraps around you like a warm embrace. If you are looking for luxury this is not it. If you enjoy the adventure of a gorgeous perfume as it transforms and takes you to another era in time with every change of notes this is not it. This like a fast shower when getting ready for work. Think drive through rather than sit down 3 course meal. Something maybe a tween would wear. Not worth the money.

Smells exactly like the regular Chloé EdP.

I wasn’t expecting this scent when I tested something named “Fleur”. Sparkling, citrusy lemon verbena in all of its glory in the opening. Very lovely when paired with the soapiness of the Chloe rose. Lemon verbena is often added to soaps, so I think most people will automatically associate this fragrance with soap or shampoo because of that. I personally LOVE the opening, but I’m a fan of the others in this line. However the lemon verbena faded on me within the hour, and the drydown reminded me of a fainter Ange ou Demon Le Secret. Went from a love to a “meh” too soon!

  42. :

    3 out of 5

this is a very expensive bottle of cheap shampoo scent. or cheap hand cream. or cheap air freshener… any cheap cosmetic works, actually. feels quite watered down, but not in the immaculate, ellena-esque way; it’s just synthetic, uninteresting and underwhelming. completely lacks the comforting complexity of rice which is allegedly a note here; it consists completely of of synthetic-feeling floral/herbal notes.
after reading about the launch on fragrantica a couple days ago, I came across a bottle of it at the new launches section of a cosmetics store yesterday. with the whole stress on “powdery beige and rice” in its PR, I had the hopes that this was an unofficial apology for love’s discontinuation. upon spritzing some on my arm I was actually amazed by the fact that a commercial entity had the courage to bottle this up and sell it. I’m only hoping that their main goal is that this will be purchased as an unoffensive gift scent by confused fathers/boyfriends/males of the world.
should note that I am not a fan of chloe eau de parfum, but the house has had some big hits with me such as chloe love eau florale and roses de chloe; and I fit the brand’s general aesthetic/spirit.

    Hello Kon-nos91,
    Awaiting your review update……
Surely there are more notes to Chloe Fleur de Parfum?
Agree with you regarding the “sillage/lasting power” “early voting”, what an election year 2016 is!
P.S. I recently purchased Chloe Love Story (CLS). Honestly, am a little underwhelmed and do not know if would repurchase as lasting power on CLS is 2 to 4 hours in the Rocky Mountain summer climate.

Wow, am I the first who saw this? I never thought this could happen…it means I have to find it and review it, fate knows what to do and imagine it’s my signature that I am searching like all of you for years haha ^_^
Promise to update my review when test it, not so sure that members will see it but I want to mention something tragic. When I first open Chloe Fleur de parfum, already 5 people have voted for it’s sillage/lasting power when it’s not even released. That’s not fair people.
