Solid – overwhelmingly smoky. Was hoping for more of a chaparral/ocotillo vibe which the liquid may have.
Roxana’s ‘Tangent’ fits the bill nicely. It’s more what I expected ‘Chaparral’ to be: SoCal without the campfire. It’s an off-shoot, so limited quantities available.

Solid. Oh my gosh, this smells like Southern California in the Fall. Exactly, down to the hint of wildfire. Usually I go for more floral scents, but this is such a familiar smell to me I can’t get enough of it!
Roxana Villa’s fragrances were a great find. She’s on Etsy & you can buy solid sample minis to try them out. There are a couple that I’m buying for sure! Thank goodness for a California perfumer, not owned by a huge corporation.

Very smoky! Smells just like a campfire. I was hoping for a sage scent similar to the wild sage that grows in our yard, but this was not it sadly.

highly recommended incense aroma, especially in the solid form (and I usually avoid solids due to lack of depth and poor sillage), perfect for layering with spicy and woodsy aromas or just on its own, and Ms. Villa’s eco-friendly approach to her products is commendable! Check out her site to view the entire range and a special treat – her original artwork!
