Lovely, although not long-lasting. Although saffron is not listed as a note, this scent gives me the impression of saffron, perhaps because of the combination of actual notes.
(By association of ideas, saffron would be thematically appropriate, as it were, because of the orange color that saffron lends to liquids in cooking.)

What I love about Chakra II is the low notes that come out after it’s been on a few minutes. Reminds of myrrh and amber, warm and sensual.

Aveda CHAKRA 2 is basically a geranium soliflore. But what a beautiful one! It smells very natural and feels great to wear. Anyone who likes the scent of geranium is bound to like this simple yet appealing creation, which also features sandalwood and orange, but they are in the background. The sillage is pretty big, and the longevity is quite good–more like an eau de parfum than a body mist!
Well, I love rose geranium, so this was probably an easy sell for me, but I will say that CHAKRA 2 is every bit as good as any other rose geranium soliflore I’ve tried. This composition is not as spicy as some niche geranium perfumes–which sometimes throw in nutmeg and patchouli and what not. But to my nose, CHAKRA 2 is a perfect soliflore of this lovely flower.
