UPDATE: An unbelievable generous and kind Fragrantican found an ancient bottle hidden in an old perfume shop in Athens, bought and sent it to me. I cannot tell how thankful I am to you,C.! <3
This is a gem and I will cherish each and every drop of my about 20 ml. On my skin it is a bitter-green-floral with a fruity kick from the blackcurrants. It should say on the packaging: no added sugar, just natural sugars occuring in flowers. 🙂 And that is just a faintest hint, otherwise this perfume is extremely crisp and dry. I smell lots of iris, some great quality rose (not the syrupy rose I so hate!), dry woody notes and some musk that adds depth and a tad of animalic quality to the fragrance. It is not listed in the ingredients but I couls swear I smell a lot of galbanum, too. Just as I remembered: it is sparkling, intelligent, smart, brilliant and very elegant. C’est Moi is an incredibly high quality perfume, which is proven by the fact that my bottle must be close to 30 years old, with more than half evaporated, judging from the box, exposed to sunlight at some point (most definitely not stored in a fridge), etc., and after just a short airing it is still absolutely lovely, with tremendous sillage and longevity. This is a piece of invaluable perfume history and I feel extremely lucky to be a proud owner of C’est Moi!

Well, I used to have the REAL C’est Moi by Etienne Aigner back in the 80’s, and it is a small tragedy that it was discontinued. I cannot recall the notes today one by one, although I do have the memory of the fragrance tucked away in a small drawer of my mind. It was brilliant, sparkling, full of energy, life affirming, confident, pretty, witty, everything I wanted to be in my teens. Such a pity it does not exist any more, nearly thirty years later I would love to wear it again, and see how we get on now, that I AM brilliant, sparkling, full of energy, etc., etc., etc. Hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mjpzx2…You are correct and while the picture here is for Etienne Aigner’s perfume, the description originally written here is for C’est Moi..It’s Me by East-West Distributing Co. (Walgreen’s) This is the one in the clear bottle.I believe it is also the one Joliecat is describing.
Below is the description of this beautiful fragrance:
Product Details
Discover the femininity of C’est Moi – it’s me. It’s me with the delicate floral scent of wild berries and peony. It’s me with the intoxicating scent of orchid and tuberose. It’s me with the exotic depth of sensuous woods and skin musk. It’s me with the gentle warmth and allure that will capture your heart.

East-West Distributing Co.

To add to the confusion, any description found online of the notes in the Etienne Agnar perfume are actually the notes for the one from East-West. Only here, from passionata20, have I found the true notes of EA’s perfume.
BTW…let’s be happy that Avon’s C’est Moi didn’t get confused in this mix too!
infileque – :
The tagline “Discover the femininity of C’est Moi – it’s me” is from a brand that was exclusive to Walgreen’s launched in 2004. Not from C’est Moi by Etienne Aigner.
I know this as I am the one who designed the folding carton…

Reminds me so much of my beloved Jardins de Bagatelle! WOW! If you love one surely you would love the other. Notes state that both were created in 1983! What a coincidence. I doubt that C’est Moi was ever released here in Australia but thankfully Jdb was so at least I found that back in the 80’s. I also find this fragrance INVIGORATING and HAPPY! Click on tuberose and scroll down to find a long and interesting article. (Vintage miniature).

WOW !!! SPICES GALORE !!! C’est Moi is bright, clean, refreshing, very strong, and very very spicy ! NOT a sultry sexy perfume at all. NOT a comfort scent. Nothing cozy here. Instead, it’s fresh, dry sweet florals enveloped by strong crisp green notes and fresh cut woods filled with spices. The musk note isn’t “musky” at all, since it’s used in a small amount, just enough to give C’est Moi superb lasting power !
C’est Moi shouts and remains perky and loud ! It’s a very high quality frag that doesn’t smell cheap at all. What you get at first spray is what you get ! No fading, no changes, no powder, just sparkly, very energetic, youthful, strong, perky, spicy freshness that lasts until you wash it off.
C’est Moi will surely wake you up and give you high energy as long as you are wearing it !
If you like extremely powerful spicy fragrances, C’est Moi ranks right up there with Kenzo Jungle L’Elephant, original YSL Opium, Estee Lauder’s Cinnabar, and Calvin Klein’s Obsession in silage strength and longevity. Compared to all of those, C’est Moi is even stronger ! Be careful, as very very little goes a long, long way with this one !
The EDT bottle I have is not this vintage one shown above. My bottle is clear glass with light golden juice. Definitely French, definitely Etienne Aigner.
C’est Moi !

This fragrance is also present in a pure perfume concentration which i happen to have in both 30ml and 7,5ml (as well as the EDT, and i see this fragrance is a rare one!). I would like to rewrite what is written in the leaflet included inside the box of 30ml bottle.
“C´est moi from Etienne Ajgner was designed for the woman who realizes her own personality in her private and professional life. A woman who knows what she wants. A woman who is unforgettable.
C´est moi – a fragrance accentuating the personality, the femininity, the individuality of the wearer. C´est moi has a character on it´s own. It is unique and unforgettable.
The head of the C´est moi fragrance radiates bright but sophisticated freshness, with the character of blackcurrants, the spakle of tangerines, the warmth of Moroccan roses. The body of this scent has depth and substance, femininity and warmth coming from the damask rose, the mexican amaryllid and Florentine iris. The basic scent won from ethereal oils and precious fixatives ensures that the C´est moi fragrance is still recognizable after many hours.
The wearer signals to the world. C´EST MOI!”
So as i have guessed the notes here are not correct and incomplete: there are blackcurrants, not red berries in here! And tangerine, and iris. I can´t smell the orchid, it must be also absent here.
This one is fresh and green with flowers. Not the nowdays fresh and airy, but fresh and heady at the same time. You know the typical 80´s fresh fragrance, it is all about it, back in the 80´s even fresh fragrances were somehow potent and bit heady in a good way). It IS bit offensive and it doesn´t apologizes for being offensive. It´s not that type of fragrance. High quality, great sillage and supreme lasting power! GREAT!!!!
UPDATE (january 2013): dear admins has revised the notes upon my request and took away the red berries and replaced them with black currant. Many thanks! 🙂 But the description of notes seems to belong to another “C´est moi” fragrance, whcih bears the same name, but was produced by another company. I know at least another one made by Avon and it´s not the same, as “C´est moi” by Aigner. So i guess some reviews above are incorrect, as there is no spices at all in this “C´est moi” version. Clean, fresh, sweet and bit heady, that´s what this fragrance smells like!
UPDATE (october 2013) I will say once again that this original “Aigner” fragrance is of a superior quality. fFresh and airy in the opening, more fruitier in the middle stage thanks to black currant, and the very beautiful drydown 15hrs later, containing musky (very realistic musk) rose. Yummy! The drydown is my most favorite part of the fragrance (EDT). I need to test extriat/parfum as well.
