Tested from a friends vanity…following the Dunhill legacy in a perfect way, reminds me of the classic Dunhill Edition, especially the cardamom note, but there is a new herbal one that is exciting, similar to the Henna used to dye hair in Middle East. I find it masculin and invitingly sexual .

I just tried this in UK and all I can say is that CENTURY is that perfect “straight out of shower” sort of aftershave. It smells so fresh and clean, very manly & sexy in the same time.
Also I was so happy and delighted to smell something new which doesn’t copy Bleu Chanel, Sauvage, BVLGARI, Invictus etc.

Tried this finally and I have to say the jury is still out. So pathetic is my perfume obsession that I was prepared to overlook glaring issues with the fragrance and purchase it anyway, merely on the strength of the superbly designed flacon. Century does have unique opening notes, watery, fresh but very modern and with undoubted cypriol oddness. I’m not surprised at all that this is from the same perfumer as Icon because there’s a waxy, floral accord of neroli, soapy but smooth cardamom and a soft powder. I’ll be honest something in that opening repelled me, was it really the cypriol? I normally like fragrances with that, I think it’s just the same reason I’m not mad about Icon…it’s got a sun cream sort of thing. When it’s dried all the way to a soft skin scent it smells basically the same but I kinda like it. It’s enough of a like to get it. Let’s just talk about the bottle again, it’s a great piece of design, slightly strange to open, the top is magnetic I think? It sort of slid off awkwardly anyway.

As this new addition is from the same perfumer as the rather splendid Dunhill Icon, we should be in good hands
Dunhill announce this as a fresh scent, but I feel this must be more around the fact it is not a flanker, but rather a new composition. Despite the listed bright / citrus notes of Bergamot, Mandarin, Grapefruit and Neroli, Century actually comes across almost immediately as a warm, slightly spicy wood / musk fragrance. Although not listed, I would say there is also a hint of sweet floral Iris note in the dry down. Overall, this is a very subtle scent, staying close to the skin, that feels very elegant and sophisticated. Possibly more suited to slightly cooler weather than hot sunny days
Personally, I find this projects a very similar vibe to Le Labo’s Santal 33 – both share common notes of Musk, Cardamom and Sandalwood. Cypriol (woody, earthy, spicy) is a close cousin for Santal 33’s Papyrus note. However, Century feels more refined and reigned in than the very dominant Le Labo scent…to my nose Century is a grown up version of Santal 33, which is no bad thing

Yuk! I have never been a fan of solitaire musks, natural or synthetic, but this stuff just reeks of something that Coty would churn out.
Nothing in this juice smells natural but rather ‘in yer face’ synthetic and penetrant.
Having said that, this will appeal to those who liked Montana back in the early 90ies and somehow the man I picture wearing this is Anderson Cooper or that guy in Devil wears Prada shouting: “Curd your loins” in the beginning of the movie.
It just sounds “desperately trying to be sexy librarian” to me.
Unique, yes it is, pleasant, no it ain’t.
2/10. Not for me at all.

I think it smells unique – must be the cypriol oil as I had no idea what that smells like. Very fresh and aromatic, almost like violet leaf but at the same time different. I think it’s manly, mature, elegant but a little serious so would make a terrific scent to go with a business suit and tie. I also think it can be used in all seasons. The bottle is striking although the lid is slightly awkward to prise off as its curved shape makes it difficult to grip. Longevity and sillage are both moderate – 2 hours projection at arms’ length before heading into a skin scent. Overall a decent and interesting release from Dunhill and I give it a 7 out of 10.

Good nose attached to this, notes sound nice and difficult not to like and everyone seems to be in agreement about the wonderful looking flacon. Even if it’s just okay I’m likely to get it anyhow.

Love the original Dunhill fragrance from 1934 and 1984 for men. although I’m not a great fan of their fragrances I am yet to try this gem out but I may also just be going for it just for the packaging as I also work within the fragrance sector I am also a collector of interesting fragrance bottles. but I am also sure that the juice is just as interesting given the description of the makeup of the fragrance. the flacon looks absolutely amazing and has remembrance of an art deco era gone by. as the flacon is very art deco and Avant Garde looking. an absolute must have.

Love the fact it’s “original” and not a flanker.
Buying it if only for the bottle.

Citrus, neroli, cardamom- not again. Hope it’s just the notes, the scent itself is nothing like Icon. Not saying Icon is a bad fragrance, just saying that I am hoping for something new and not just a “flanker” to Icon.
Also I wish it is suitable for wearing in high heat unlike Icon.
