Shira Legace – :
I. Love. This. Scent.
This is a fantastic everyday scent. It’s truly unisex, very green, and very woody. I don’t have a single negative thing to say about it. It just smells GOOD. I also have to say, it’s an incredible value. There are a lot of cedar/vetiver scents that share qualities with this one (The Vert, Creed Vetiver) that are much more expensive per ounce.
This is a terrific scent to have on hand to feel awake, refreshed, and at one with nature.
Devil 26 – :
In spite of knowing a considerable variety of woody fragrances, I must confess that I considered it difficult to review this perfume, and I needed at least four days of intense use to comprehend its expression and significance.
A blast of freshness marks the opening of this fragrance with citrus notes of bergamot and mild aromatic notes of basil; there is no bitterness here as we can detect in some bergamot compositions. After some minutes, its heart tells us about the intensity of fresh green cedar needles with a subtle hint of lavender. The evolution of cedar notes moves from a youthful and green freshness to a dry and mature woodiness, permeated by prominent presence of vetiver. Notes of artemisia, saffron and cypress are quite subtle and unnoticed to my nose perception. Moss and amber are introduced to allow fixing but are not displayed in a impressive way either.
Despite loving woody fragrances, I have a tendency of requiring them soft and velvety and this brave perfume simply did not submit to my charm and my requests and presented itself genuinely dry and direct. Actually, I had to submit to its notable masculine character, but it was balanced with some kindness and solicitude that made me feel comfortable, embraced and delighted in its arms, wishing to remain with it in the midst of a dense cedar forest.
We should also remember it is an Eau de Cologne, so I considered projection and longevity very satisfactory. Splash bottles of 200mL allow indulgent application and the price is quite affordable for the quality offered.
