I am addicted to CF. I had the whole range other than this hair mist, which arrived in the post today. It is supposed to be lighter than the Eau de Parfum. I disagree, I find this at least as potent, if not actually more! It is insanely strong and works very well in the hair. All my other CF purchases have been direct from FM however I managed to pick up this hair mist on Ebay for a 3rd of the price on a bid auction. I was worried it could be a fake but it is the real deal (no fake could be this strong or true to the original). If you keep looking you can get some Frederic Malle bargains on Ebay, although there are also many rip offs. Carnal Flower is insanely pricey but I am totally smitten with it.
In response to the comment asking how it differs from the perfume, I suspect it will have a lower alcohol as alcohol can dry out the hair and it has oil in I believe. It is also meant to be a lighter scent but as above, I dont find it to be soo.

This hair mist features the same natural tuberose absolute as the perfume and honestly this is just basically an EDT version because this stuff performs very well. It’s definitely not your average weak hair mist that’s for sure. In fact “hair mist” my ass, you can easily wear this like any other perfume, not necessarily just in your hair. Lol.
Just like the EDP version Carnal Flower Hair Mist opens with a photorealistic tuberose that reminds me precisely of the pikake/tuberose leis we would get for special occasions when I was a teenager living in Hawaii. Almost unbearably bright at the start, it takes a bit for the eye-popping top notes to mellow into one of the most seductive tuberose ‘fumes out there. It diffuses the carnal smell of the eponymous flower. One can recognize the milky, spicy, fruity but also fresh and green smell that tuberose exudes on a summer night.
I am a committed Carnal Flower lover and it has always been in my top 5 favorite perfumes, usually being placed at number 1 depending on what mood I’m in and what time of the year it is, therefore I was bound to end up purchasing the whole body line and I have finally done it. Hair Mist, body butter, and body wash. So I’m walking around all day long feeling like a goddess from the narcotic floral energy of this insanely good aroma wafting around my body. Dominique Ropion I am forever grateful to you for this magnificent creation Sir.

$155 bottle of coconut floral hair spray!
I’ve never worn the EDP but have smelled it ‘on’ someone else – a friend of mine – a male – who likes tuberose scents but it seemed too ‘carnal’ for my taste. It was woody with eucalyptus and didn’t feel like a woman’s perfume to me. It was and is totally unisex. This edition is expensive for just a hair mist but it is so much nicer than the EDP. This doesn’t sell as much as the EDP but can be found online. The scent is fresher and softer, with a linear progression of fruit-florals-musk-wood.
Opens with a sweet milky coconut. I love coconut hair shampoo and conditioner as well as hair spray and have worn many of them before. This one has more of a luxurious air. Smells deeper with all the creamy and animalic textures of an actual tuberose without getting too dirty. Smells exotic, fleshy, like eggplant sometimes. The tuberose is coming through but it’s subdued and has a sweet jasmine-gardenia type of scent. There’s also ylang ylang in it. The dry down comes fast and smells less of the eucalyptus wood and more musky, leathery. This is a soft musk or white musk, clean and very refreshing.
I’m into hair mist perfumes and also now have the Chanel No 5 hair mist which is really really nice. This is an alternative to fragrance as in EDP EDT and EDC when you just want to wear something short lived and sweet, soft, and refreshing after a shower. It’s also not cheap like typical drugstore hair spray. This is also a bit better than Victoria Secret hair mist or body mists. This smells good as it clings to the ends of my hair and my T shirt or blouse collars catch the scent. Good for spring and summer months. Feminine and fresh, but pretty expensive so if you really want it you got to invest!

How is this different from the Edp?

Featured in 2016 if I’m correct, this addition is great to scent your hair. I’m huge fan of the original and it is true to the eau de parfum. It lasts 4-5 hours on my hair and sometimes I wear it on its own in the heat.
