batalbey – :
I loved CBH for men. The metal flask was like a canteen providing a rich fragrance to quench my thirst. Giorgio tempted me with its California style, this was a natural progression for me. My bottle cost around $18.
I couldnt identify the notes. I can distinctly recall it after 25 years. It was a bold crisp fougere that worked well in the heat. I do recall some green florals. After a shower, wearing it made you feel clean and fresh all day. Oh, there was also a feeling of celebrity associated with it. I felt like a star.
Indeed, California grabbed my attention in those days. The perfume world was shining on the west coast. This attention was shorted lived. Oh, was this the halcyon of the USA.
Update 8/31/15
I obtained a full vintage in the metal flask. The bottle is dated 1985. I had to replace the styrofoam support. It is just as I remember. Strong, fresh and memorable.
I guess the notes are as follows give or take a few:
Top- lemon, bergamot, lavender & neroli
Heart-geranium, lily of the valley & jasmine.
Base-oakmoss, vetiver, patchouli, amber, leather, and sandalwood.
