Lilacs are my favorite flower, so I decided to look for a good lilac perfume and stumbled upon this one, And amazinggg. Other people seem to think so too, as I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it. I work 12 hr shifts and even at the end of the day I can still smell it. It’s not very expensive either which is great. If you’re looking for a long lasting, true lilac perfume this is it.

Absolutely lovely! This starts off with a strong Lilac and crisp green notes, which I love, anything with Lilac gets my attention but about an hour after spraying it on it’s changed and on my skin it smells so much like Calvin Klein Eternity, it’s so fresh and perfect for Spring and Summer. Very floral and feminine x
Update: I sprayed this on about 3 hours ago and it’s still going good. It’s changed now though to what I can only describe as a cross between YSL Paris and Lacoste pour Femme, really delightful and floral, I love it.

This is a nice one. All I detect is lots of lilac with a touch of vanilla. On the mature side with the dated floral note but at the same time youthful in character.

I also got this at Marshalls the other day; it was a blind buy. Cali Vibes is a lilac perfume. Even though I looked up the notes on Fragrantica, I was not prepared for the intense, realistic lilac that comes out of that bottle!
You must absolutely love lilac to make friends with this perfume! It is not anything else but a real, fully bloomed lilac bush. Like you ARE the lilac fairy! I wasn’t expecting this from Hollister. Floral lovers should be happy with this one!

I picked up a bottle of Cali Vibes over the weekend at Marshall’s based on the reviews here, and I’m baffled.
Lilac, rose, lily-of-the-valley and musk — every single note listed here is one of my favorites! And yet, I smell none of these (except maybe some musk).
I can only surmise that this was a bad batch or has turned. (My other perfumes continue to smell normal, so I don’t think it’s my nose.)
By the way, I buy perfumes at discount stores all the time, and have never had any problems with them, so I still encourage anyone hesitant about discounters to give them a try. I think this is a fluke.
But this bottle is so bad…
I did get an initial sharp green scent, and I thought, “oh, unexpectedly unisex.” But then I got plastic, which only morphed into *burning* plastic! Eventually some powder came out, but overall, the scent was harsh and flat and didn’t improve over time. I’ll give it one more try, but most likely I’ll be returning it. Big disappointment.

Wow, such a pleasant surprise! I always check Fragrantica when I see an unfamiliar bottle for a good price, and I took a chance on this from the notes and reviews, and with the hope that I will not be allergic to it. I’m so happy I did! The name does not fit the scent. On me, this is lovely, soft lilac and white musk. I can barely detect the rose or lily of the valley, which is good because those notes can give me raging headaches. It is just beautiful, realistic, fresh lilacs wafting into the air. It doesn’t smell old-fashion or cloying, which can happen with some lilac scents. I am super happy with this.

This certainly was an unexpected surprise. I came across an open package of this at Marshall’s and was curious what their interpretation of a “California vibe” would be. It is fresh and wonderful like springtime in a bottle or the feeling of getting fresh flowers delivered to you and closing your eyes to inhale all of the wonderful aroma. The fragrance doesn’t change on me at all even after a few hours and that’s fine with me. I’m way too old to shop at Hollister but now I may just have to stop in and sample their other fragrances!

I am beyond delighted to see that Gilly Hicks’ beloved La Perouse is back, even if it’s in another form! It was my favorite perfume for years and years and I was so sad when Gilly Hicks went out of business. This is such a unique scent and I have reeived so many compliments on it. This seems to be the exact same formulation as the original, just under Hollister’s branding. I’m ecstatic!

This is Gilly Hicks La Perouse repromoted!
