This one didn’t work well for me.
Daniel’s idea is good, to work a citric and soft oud that can be used in the heat as some kind of cologne, but I has the impression the lime/lemon didn’t fully blend with all the other ingredients. It felt very synthetic in my skin, something akin to a lemon dessert or powder gelatin.
I didn’t get a whiff of rose or geranium, jasmine was just so subtle and the cashmeran screamed in my nose. I pass this one.

In Caipiroud it is possible to perceive that the combination of two cliches can produce a new, interesting result that works very well despite the possible antagonism that may exist at first between the two parts.
First of all, we have the great cliché of the caipirinha perfumes of the international brands that always seem to see Brazil as made of Rio de Janeiro, beaches and caipirinha. They all go down the same path: citrus, luminous floral and musky discreet. Here combined with it we have the cliché of oud perfumes that in recent years have made an avalanche in the commercial and niche market in combinations always very similar – or animalic, or sweet ambery or mixed with rose and saffron.
Caipiroud is neither a fresh, citrus scent of the Caipirinhas gringas nor a heavy animalic or floral oriental of the creations inspired by the Arab culture, but a fusion of the two that works by the fine adjustment of the ingredients. The opening focuses more on the drink itself and offers us a scent that has the most ardent and fresh side of the lemon, the mint herbal aspect, a slight fougere touch and a discreet fruity aquatic accent. As it evolves, the oud accord enters to make the base and gives a woody, resinous and well-balanced sweetness to the composition. The contrast of the two parts is what makes creation unique in both of the categories it blends.
