Al rehab choco musk was my first dive into choco scents. That one is now at second place, cafe cacao is new love. Yet, i’d like that it lasts longer, tauer spoiled me completely in that department. But al praises from below comments are spot on, booze divine, heavenly smelling, etc.

I am not a chocolate/gourmand person with my fragrances but I LOVE this one and want a full bottle. This is the best chocolate frag out there. Nothing else compares. I just wonder when people rate frags if they have no nose though. I could be a nose; so, maybe mine is refined but how can people rank musk lowest?????? This frag is three things: CHOCOLATE, sweet sweet gooey melted chocolate. BOOZE. It is a rummy boozy chocolate. Then MUSK. This dries down into an animalic musk fragrance that is utter chocolate bars having sex.

This is eyes-roll-to-the-back-of-your-head good. Shelley Waddington makes my *every* day a Valentine’s Day with this chocolate treat. I get more of a Dark Chocolate with subtle coconut, than coffee. Everybody’s skin chemistry’s different, right?
And the LONGEVITY!! Pardon the screaming, but it’s rare to come across a Cacao fragrance that’s linear and sticks the landing. Specifically, it’s come to my attention that ‘olfactory fatigue’ sets in within minutes (for *me* personally), with some chocolate notes. Although folks around me can continue to smell it, I personally ‘lose’ the strong chocolate opening in other frags. Not the case here. Café Cacao stays true, and saves me calories. Thank you, Shelley.

I was a little disappointed in the fact reading the name I hyped myself up that there would be more of a coffee sorta vibe. But really this is a chocolate scent.
Saying that at first I was pretty shocked at how much this smells like Amber Chocolate from La Via del Profumo. Its got a bit of that same sorta animalistic almost thick sexy sorta chocolate smell to it. This is much more nuanced though. When you smell deeper in the fragrance you get the other notes, and its actually pretty dusty, chalky, dry, almost smokey sorta chocolate. Which saying that im surprised there isnt more talk about this in the fragrance community because although im not particularly horny about all these dry scents a lot of fragcom seems to love them.
But thankfully(for me at least maybe)even as it dries down theres still enough of that thick delicious sorta chocolate smell going on, that covers the more dusty aspects.
You get a little bit of every note in here if you look for it, and id like to try this in the colder months to see if maybe I get a bit more of that whip cream to add a cool tinge to the fragrance which might be more interesting.
In short think of slumberhouses ore as a chocolate bar you have a bit of that, and then you take the Amber chocolate bar if you will and we drizzle it all over that. Combining the 2 frags. And thats basically what I got.
Performance was good if not great but it is pretty pricey. Still a must try I think if you enjoy chocolate fragrances.

Delicious! Dark chocolate mixed with bitter coffee. Not milk chocolate but dark bakers chocolate. The real ambergris is warm and cozy, lends an animalistic note to the composition. Lasts 8 hours, good sillage too. Great coffee scent! Gourmand without being too sweet.

Coffee and cocoa seems essences made one for each other. The marriage is perfect besides the differences (considering that cocoa tends to be used generally in a sweeter form and the coffee in a more bitter and roasted way) because both have a roasted and dense aroma that match very well. Café cacao use both to recreate the smell of a parisienne café mocha, enveloping them in a more complex aura of roses, ambar and ambergris. One of the most pleasure part of this creation is just watching its seducing nuances of its smells: it’s a fragrance that i want to devour each piece of its aroma. Right away the criation opens with a dense and roasted coffee aura, which transform into a chocolate aroma of those that have 60-70% of cocoa, bitter but still with a sweet touch. The roses are subtle here, it’s like they have dipped some rose petals into a thick and hot chocolate smell and o smell its petals exhale while they are soaked up by the mixture. The base is intriguing to me, i detec a slightly animalic and salty musk in contrast with a sweet, cozy and ambery vanilla. I don’t see any transition jumps in the smells of this creation, everything seems to flow in a very rounded way on skin, creating a warm and cozy aura.

Reminds me of Al-Rehab Choco-musk and Montale Chocolate Greedy but with more powdery coffee and more complex rose and cardamom but NOT as sweet, definitely DARK chocolate. A little creamy/milky powdery. Definitely musky base!

    This scent is FREAKING AMAZEBALLS!
Wearing this, I swear, has calories — it is like I am literally drinking the most divine mocha, made with the most smooth, heavenly roasted beans, dripping the most divine smooth chocolate, topped with the most delicious whipping cream, and a faint touch of cinnamon, just a little. There are no tannins in this, just delicious chocolate coffee. At the same time, I am eating a decadent sweet piece of chocolate mouse flourless cake. After I am finished, I am enveloped by the heaven scent of sweet chocolatey coffee aroma that lingers all around me for hours.
Many hours tick by, when the most divine sweet smooth amber envelops my skin, still faintly chocolate – I just keep wanting to sniff myself.
Much more than just chocolate going on here, more than just coffee and chocolate – this is super yummy. It is complex, rich, creamy, delectable, warm, sweet scent.
It is not overly sugar sweet – this is more than a candy bar. But it is very HEAVENLY!
    Highly recommend.
It has that sort of complexity of Guerlain’s Charnel Elixir Gourmand Coquin. It is different that Coquin. But if you love Coquin – you will LOVE this – maybe more!!

Salted chocolate in a bottle. I adore Lindt and Godiva sea salt chocolate bars and this is the closest I’ve come to it in a scent. The chocolate here is a dark chocolate but more 70% not 90% dark. Next to my bar of chocolate is an affogato, the vanilla ice-cream swirling lazily in the rich expresso. The coffee note here is not the sweet coffee experience of I Love New York for All, it is darker and richer than Bond. With the addition of cardamom, it smells like Turkish coffee brewing. I agree that this is heavenly. The sillage and longevity are excellent even with just a couple of drops applied to my clothes, it clocked over 12 hours. I would recommend this to those who would enjoy a twist to their coffee or chocolate scents, it may not be enough of both or either note for the hardcore gourmandies though. This is definitely a love for a sea salt dark chocolate lover like me.
