Yes, HUGE geraniol and citronellol! Would make an outstanding, rosy smelling bug spray, hehe. A lot more pleasant than OFF…. Seriously, I must try it. 🙂
Very similar to Istanbul Rose – I am having difficulty telling them apart. Also similar to Al Rehab’s Taif Rose, though that one is perhaps more tangy and high pitched. All of these are on the sharp and citric side of rose – not especially sweet or jammy or musky.
I personally like to wear Istanbul Rose more than the aforementioned by Al Rehab, as it is a tiny bit more woody and deep than the others. It also layers well with Moroccan Rose, a sweeter, creamy rose that needs a bit more depth for my taste. Win-win!

al-Rehab Bulgarian Rose is a soft rose-musk after a quick drydown.

This smells like rose for about 5 seconds, then like a plastic doll. Not nice.

I am getting huge geraniol and citronellol notes. I don’t get any rose, if there is any it is well and truly in the background. Nice if you love big citrus with slight rosey nuances, but this is a very big perfume and it is hurting my nose it is that strong! I think the rose soliflores are not Al Rehab’s thing. They do better with rose blends (spices, woods, ambers, not so much musks, they tend to be loud also) or rose/floral blends. Kinda reminiscent of Flower’s Barrow by Lush, but Lush’s herby rose moves and shakes a whole lot better than this one.

This is a lovely, simple linear rose. Its not a sweet rose, and I don’t get any other floral notes at all. There is a undertone of soft musk, even though thats not listed. Its a gentle warm fragrance that would do well for summer. Although its rose, the lack of sweetness or fruitiness means it would definitely be unisex. I liked this-longevity is about 4 hours and sillage is soft (this is based on the rollerball 6ml perfume oil).

This is similar to my review of Aseel, leonorano3. If you have Nebras or another sweet Al Rehab, I would try layering Bulgarian Rose with it 🙂 Layering Nebras with Aseel saved it for me so hopefully you’ll find the same thing x

On me, two seconds of rose is followed by a vicious blast of citrus toilet-cleaner. It might, I suppose, be wonderful with a different body chemistry, and at Al Rehab prices a mistake is not a disaster.
