a typical floral aldehyde but not very interesting or different; nothing like the Guerlain floral aldehydes, my least fave of this designer; it’s definitely got oakmoss in it, too. And maybe pepper or orchid. It is a sneezer if you sniff your arm too closely. Mediocre. Okay for the price.

Wait…I have smelled this before.
I know – Brilliant White Diamonds reminds me a LOT of Ivory soap. If Proctor & Gamble decided to cross over into fine fragrances, this would be the result. If you are one of those people who always says they wish for a fragrance that smells like Ivory Soap, look no further.
To be more specific, this smells like the scent they add to make Ivory smell the way it does. Bear in mind, soap also has a rich fatty smell on its own without additional fragrance. The rich unscented soap part is missing, but the Ivory note is there indeed.
Imagine this in a white rectangular bottle with blue lettering: Sôap d’Ivoire.
I love Brilliant White Ivory Soap Diamonds!

This is my favorite White Diamonds flanker after Rubies and Diamonds. It starts off with a crisp, orange citrusy blast paired with cool green undertones and lots of lily and lily of the valley, and a touch of velvety roses. It has a sharper, more ‘pricey’ feel to it than Sparkling White Diamonds, which I also love. This fragrance works great in warm weather.
yasnikova82 – :
Oh man this is the good stuff.
Right now it so darn hot in my country, and with a high humidity.
This parfume is amazing in this weather. I feel so clean and fresh wearing this parfume.
It´s soapyness is fits so well in this heat, and now it has stayed on my skin for 8 hours.
ZVERUGA – :
Very pretty. Musky meets Lily of the Valley. It’s as if Carolina Herrera 212 (the original) and Coty Muguet de Bois had a baby. Very aldehydic, similar to Sparkling White Diamonds. It was a blind buy. I’m not disappointed.
nadinda – :
This is a very soft fragrance when compared to all other Elizabeth Taylor scents. The silage is very light, I think its hard to over spray this one, where with her other flankers you definitely need to spray less than 3, and then hold on for the top note ride because it can be a turn off at first.
It is citrusy light floral on me. I get absolutely no powder smell despite the rose. It is a pale ghost of the original, where I feel sparkling is like a light version without the spices and patchouli. The addition of the honeysuckle and vanilla notes lend a slight sweetness, just enough like the sugar in lemonade, it sort of tames the sourness of the citrus. Its slightly creamy, I think from the tuberose. Something about it makes me think of Palmers Shea Butter. I haven’t smelled it in a long time, but somehow that was what it called to my mind so I could be mistaken.
I like it! I think its a perfect summer fragrance. Its clean and confident and somewhat tropical to me, with out the overdone sweetness of pineapple or coconut notes. I will wear this in warm weather or when I want a scent but need to be careful of anyone around me being offended. I think I might play with it to layer upon other perfumes that may need a little citrus or sweetness.
Also! I forgot to add my Husband absolutely loves this one!

Brilliant white diamonds is definitely the most different out of the three (white diamonds, sparkling white, and brilliant)
When I first spray it it’s weird. But don’t let that yet you because it’s only for literally a second. It immediately starts to warm up and smells like flowers.I would say out of the three it has the least amount of the powdery smell.
After its had a few minutes it starts to smell like citrus. Then it moves onto the honeysuckle smell, which is surprisingly nice.
Its not anywhere as strong as the other two, definitely easier on the head.
It’s much more light and playful. Probably my favorite of the three.
It maintains the citrus smell for a while and doesn’t really change after that.

Alright so I have to come clean and proclaim my undying love for Elizabeth Taylor Fragrances. I love Passion and am infatuated with White Diamonds. So when I see this sitting proundly in the $19.99 showcase at my local shoppers, my interests are peaked.
So I look at the notes and read a few reviews and decide to go for it. On paper this smells clean and floral, nothing earth shattering. On me I get the familiar yet softer opening of White Diamonds, mostly mandarin orange and aldehydes. The tuberose is not as prevalent as I had wished which is sad because I’m having a passionate love affair with tuberose lately. But I’m not totally disappointed 30 mins in I’m getting green honeysuckle and a touch of rose not bad. Then it rounds off as a vanilla musk skinsent that is pleasent enough to make this not a total waste of money.
It’s will be a summer spray, worn on days when I crave Elizabeth Taylor but it’s too hot out for white diamonds or passion. I think I have decided to continue my search for a staple tuberose scent. This missed that mark but is pleasent enough to keep in my collection.
zavala – :
This is mainly a citrus for me. The white florals are barely there for me. The rose note is MIA for me. Vanilla, sandalwood and musk also are almost MIA. Liz frag’s typically for me are powerhouses; usually with tremendous sillage and excellent longevity; however, this falls short on both counts. This becomes (barely) a skin scent after about an hour. But is is a cheapie frag, so I guess having to re-spritz is not a huge deal. This is not a love for me, it is just merely “okay”. Not one I will reach for often. But it’s okay. Probably would not have bought this had I been able to test this, but it is okay. An extremely light quickly fading citrus scent, nothing more, nothing less. But for roughly $12.00 for a 3.3 ounce bottle at TJMaxx…guess can’t complain!!
uri1985 – :
Somehow this one evaded me but today it was a “red label” sale at T.J. Maxx so there we go.
Brilliant White is basically the same recipe as the Gloria Vanderbuilt signature fragrance & Revlon’s Charlie White — however Brilliant White Diamonds seems a bit more refined and the ingredients seem a touch higher quality.
Make no mistake- this is a “cheapie” but leaps and bounds above whatever the local drug store is selling.
Try this one if you like white florals and a touch of citrus & aldehydes . It sparkles and will make you smile .
I am loving this so far for the whole $12.00 it cost me!
P.S. for a “cheapie” – the longevity is fairly good!
vkcglso245 – :
I received this in the mail earlier today. I’ve been wearing it for 4 hours now, and I can still smell it.
I like it very much. It’s a more light and sopey variation of white diamonds. It’s very suitable for work or for occasions, where you don’t wanna overdue it with your parfume.
esainubpemb – :
Just received this one in today’s mail, along with Diamond Luster. It is beautiful, but light. This one is perfect to wear to church or to work. Places where you are in close quarters, and people may not like to smell my perfume.
I love her stronger fragrances best. Passion and White Diamonds, Diamonds and Rubies, Diamonds and Sapphires, Diamonds and Emeralds and Black Diamonds.
I also prefer Diamond Luster and Violet Eyes.
I love all of Elizabeth Taylor’s fragrances. I have them all now, except for her latest one. I will wait for the price to drop before I buy it.
Bodnar-777 – :
To my nose this is a magnificent honeysuckle citrus musk scent. I get no tuberose (thank god) and the longevity is amazing. This is the very best honeysuckle inspired perfume I’ve come across in my admittedly limited experience. Comparable to Aerin Lauders Mediterranean honeysuckle Elizabeth Taylor has given us something special with this one.
bezr201 – :
I have been searching for a nore modern version of White Diamonds, and l was super excited to because it is an aldehyde, and because of the tuberose and honeysuckle. To my disappointment l find the mandarin is very predominate. I am not too fond of fruity notes. E.T. Though, seems to keep them classy with a nice blend with the florals. The drydown on me is a clean, almost soapy sandalwood which l find quite pleasant. The more l wear this the more l like it, l just can’t decide if it is my favorite E. T. Yet or not.
OnyHantlza – :
My 2 favorites, Brilliant White diamonds and Sparkling White diamonds. They are both soft. Sparkling is a bit more aromatic and reminds me of young girl’s perfumes of the 70’s, 80’s. Brilliant is more lemony and rosy.
valera065 – :
This is a nice alternative to White Diamonds. This is a sweeter softer gardenia, and I have both scents to compare and contrast. This is a less fussy and more beautiful fragrance, and not spicy, purely floral. This has succulent honeysuckle as well and rose, lily and tuberose. The flowers are very nice. If you like floral scents – the perfumy kind not the green floral kind, this is for you. I also felt as if it had some form of aldehydes but not too strong. Beautiful simple easy to wear any time day or night for any occasion.
boncho – :
This perfume has begun to grow on me. I got a fantastic deal on a huge bottle (ordinarily I don’t care too much what the bottle looks like but I do find this one quite pretty) but at first whiff, it had a bit of a synthetic feel to me. I wasn’t giving it a fair chance though, I only kept smelling it without applying it thinking it wouldn’t suit the occasion (whatever it happened to be). After applying it however, it actually could be an everyday office, to running errands to even a date night evening fragrance and seems to mix well with my chemistry and works just as well on my clothes.
After the initial first spray, the synthetic I was detecting fades away very quickly and it becomes a nice soft, fresh and clean, light floral citrusy scent that I personally find any age appropriate despite other reviews I have read (although I still have yet to find or feel any fragrance is only geared to ONE specific age group). For daytime use, one spritz is enough and it has lasting power, for a bit more of a seductive noticeable scent, perhaps two to three sprays would suffice as the sillage seems to remain the same and definitely is inoffensive.
This is my first Elizabeth Taylor perfume (and it was a blind buy so I’m glad I have now given it a fair chance) but it also has honestly surprised me too. I have tested others in the past and they have all been far too strong and just unappealing due to their strength and overall “overdone” impression they have given me. Even though not overly complex, I find it to have the right mixture and do think citrus should be followed by white floral in the notes description as it would be more accurate imo.
aturwoqgkal – :
*** superb **** fantastic perfume. this is heavenly florals. This is like a beautiful shampoo-like perfume. so beautiful on my skin. I have the edt version, pure parfum and ultra rich body lotion. This one is the coolest of all diamonds series, I think.
Its so marvellous. I am so happy about this
RithTinuouh – :
To me this one is muguet scent, not tuberose.
It’s very light and sparkling citrusy crisp scent.
I add honeysuckle only. It’s more close to describe this perfume just consider the list only.
SANCHO197800 – :
its the first ever perfume i remember falling in love with.. a friend of mine had received it as a gift and i had sprayed a little on..instant love! this was 15 yrs ago..i havent worn it since and havent been able to find it in stores..finally found it on Amazon! waiting for it to be delivered to India!! hope i still like it! fingers crossed!
Edit: its here! and i love it! 🙂 strong sillage and lasts long on skin, longer on clothes (14hrs for me). too much can be cloying . wish i could smell more mandarin orange though. On me its mostly tuberose.still..great to know that i still love it.
Aaaaq245 – :
Exactement la meme odeur que Sparkling White Diamond mais en plus leger, SWD a plus de tenue et un sillage plus profond que BWD
kot405 – :
this perfume smells so fresh and clean, it is perfect for hot summer days and lasts. perfect out of the shower fresh floral. LOVE
смит161rus – :
I love this. It’s like Diorissimo blended with tea rose. Crisp, sharp and ethereal. Has a little acetone edge to it, but all in all a great light summer/spring frag.
I also detect fresh carnation even though it is not listed.
Update: I find this similar to Halston Sheer.
андрэунд345 – :
I really like this scent,it’s soft and pretty..I would put it in the same type of scent as Victorias Secrets Dream Angels Divine,Charlie Silver…Smells nice, but not in your face.My other 2 favorites from Elizabeth Taylor are Black Pearls and Forever.I can not believe that Lindsay Lohan with the photo album of mugshots was picked to play this Icon..What an insult!
pupituska – :
This doesn’t suit my chemistry. At first, I smell a strong chemical citrusy scent, mixed with sour white flowers. After an hour, it turns into exactly the smell of Raid. The sillage is good, and it lasts quite a while, although it’s a scrubber for me.
dedushka4711 – :
I always have this pefume even though I dont wear it often, it is still one of my favorites .
I normally wear it to holiday parties or on vacation .
It’s like that special expensive perfume saved up for certain occasions- except it is very in-expensive.
A sharp bold floral that can be too overwhelming if applied too heavy.
But in small doses its wonderful IMO
muhotycyjo – :
I smell no tuberose at all. I do smell a huge bouquet of fresh cut lilies and sweet juicy citrus, with maybe a suggestion of rose. This is a sparkling, bright, crisp, cheerful floral fragrance. There is nothing dark or spicy about this – this is pure joy.
bbf986Negeltzex – :
i m not a huge fan of citrus perfumes but this one is creamy crisp and beautiful! it’s like sugarcoated lemonpeel with sweet white flowers! amazing, love it!
lasting power and sillage enormeous!
uqm811Bessinepome – :
Not the best of the E.T frags for me, but I still quite like it, at first I wasnt too sure of the citrus note in it. After a while on my skin though, it settles down to the beautiful carnation
zmeygold – :
This is a very soft floral scent, which has a very good sillage. It embodies the soft grace of femininity.
I wore it last night and I can still smell it on me in the morning.
Recommended for both day and night wear. Its a very reasonably priced perfum that smells elegant.
Gjgeuftd – :
I prefer this one to the Sparkling version. I don’t know what it is, but my chemistry with it was undeniable. The floral is fresh but not marine. It’s neither too clean or too heavy. This is a very good daytime perfume. It has a kick to it. A crisp floral! That’s the best way I can describe it. I don’t smell Charlie White with it. I wore that in Junior High and it’s a very soft and basic fruity perfume with barely any florals.
scales – :
RIP Dame Elizabeth! you’ll be missed
DenQ – :
For those of you who find some of Liz Taylor’s other fragrances too strong, this is one to consider. It is light, consisting of the freshness of faint citrus, and settling with strong middle notes of pale florals. To me, the base is a little hard to detect, lacking the warmth that often goes with sandalwood, amber & vanilla.
Brilliant White Diamonds evokes the image in my mind of a gorgeous, glamorous woman, who at the same time remains aloof and distant. It feels cold, formal and beautiful, but lacking in raw sexual appeal.
A “like” not a “love”.
I would wear this during the day, to work, or when I’m feeling simultaneously glamorous & introverted.
foster – :
I bought this fragrance around Christmas time at Walmart. I was looking for a White Diamonds gift set but saw this. I couldn’t smell it but the price was reasonable so I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The smell is wonderful. This has turned into a must have in my collection. It also makes me want to give the other scents in this line a try too.
Teror-life – :
i really like this one.romantic and flirty sexy.lasts a long time
vadva61 – :
I love the two kick offs of White Diamonds because White Diamonds is way to overpowering for me. The two kick offs-Brilliant and Sparkling-are just beautiful crisp scents that are in step with what is in demand today-citrus and floral. These two scents are just beautiful. I don’t dislike too many of the Elizabeth lines of perfumes at all!
kulak005 – :
This is really a strange fragrance. I bought it not being able to smell it beforehand..
It has a chemical factory odor about it – I’m about 2 seconds from pitching it in the garbage.
I went by the fragrance descriptions. Very annoyed as I expected more.
dpj246InsuffBooni – :
I smelt the mandarin orange from the first spritz. Though some people may find it a bit too overwhelming, I find it elegant and perfect to use at night. My only issue with this perfume is that its staying power isn’t that long maybe because of my body chemistry. But overall, this one’s just fine.
stepan120 – :
I have had this one for about 2 years and I am still working on the 1.7 oz because all I need is a few sprays.I like this one alot it is strong but yet smells soft in the dry down.It is unique it smells like lemon peels mixed with tuberose and I actually bought it unsniffed and liked the packaging and got it for a good price so I can’t complain! These Liz Taylor diamond bottles are my favorite because they look bigger than 1.7 oz and they are so pretty especially this one it is frosted glass with a design pattern and it looks nice on my dresser.I reccomend sampling before buying though because I don’t think alot of women would like this scent but if you do happy sniffing!
Lucy_fromAD – :
have it. got it as a present years ago.
It smells as if it would be 30 years older than me..and character incompatible. Way too pseudo elegant,I think
