Description
Brand Baxter of California presents two fragrances, Bravado2 and Bravado3. This house has been known since 1965 for their products for body, face and hair care for men. The new fragrances have been on the market since 2009. The first fragrance by the house of Bravado was launched 30 years ago. It received a new formula and it was newly presented in 2000. The two new fragrances present a refreshing twist in comparison to the original Bravado.
Bravado2 is a light and sophisticated fragrance designed for men and women. Its unisex concept includes aromas of lemon, basil, mandarin, light and gentle floral notes, as well as cypress and vanilla. The fragrance arrives as 100 ml in a glass flacon with a black stopper.

I had never heard of this line of fragrance and skincare products directed at men until The Perfumed Court had samples of their two EdCs on sale. Bravado 2 is a traditional cologne-type scent that opens with a certain amount of lavender-tonka-musk bravado, but in less than 2 minutes evolves into a light twist of fresh, natural-smelling lemon peel followed by a light, citrusy, musk drydown.
Unlike some other colognes that disappear in minutes, the lemony, clean, musky phase of this one is amazingly tenacious, lingering on the skin for 6-8 hours. It’s not remarkable in any way, being one of those scents that’s probably meant to be used as a men’s after-shave, splashed on thoughtlessly on mornings when you have to get up ridiculously early and go to work. There’s not much sillage, just enough to know that there’s a fragrance present.
The scent itself is so benign that it couldn’t possibly offend anyone. I’m not much into citrusy colognes, but they do have their place in anyone’s wardrobe. If you’re looking for a pleasant, lemony, all-purpose cologne that lasts all day but is hard to OD on, Bravado 2 might be just the thing.
